The new com.ounds were cha.a.terized using IR, 1H Nm., 13C Nm. a.d m.0}s spectra.

We eva.ua.ed the popula.ion genetics of m.0}rolo- phus pygm.0}us, the m.st widely used preda.ory m.rid a.a.nst m.0}y a.thropod pests of greenhouse crops in the m.diterra.ea. region, using the m.tochondria. Cytb sequence a.d m.crosa.ellite da.a. a.d popula.ion genetics a.d phylogeny a.proa.hes. We investiga.ed com.ercia.ly m.0}s-produced insects （i.e., com.ercia. insects either m.0}s-rea.ed in the la.ora.ory for m.0}y genera.ions, or purcha.ed by fa.m.rs a.d relea.ed in the greenhouses） a.d ＂wild＂ insects （i.e., tha. occur na.ura.ly outside or a.e collected in na.ure for relea.e in the greenhouses）. The m.rids were m.0}nly collected in a.roecosystem. in which sola.a. ceous pla.ts a.e grown in northern Spa.n, southern Fra.ce a.d Greece. Both m.lecula. m.0}kers a.d a.proa.hes distinguished 2 genetica.ly differentia.ed popula.ions. The less genetica.ly diverse popula.ion, herea.ter na.ed the ＂com.ercia.＂ stra.n included a.l indi- vidua.s from.la.ora.ory m.0}s-rea.ings a.d m.st relea.es of com.ercia.ly bred individua.s. The m.st genetica.ly diverse popula.ion m.0}nly com.rised individua.s origina.ing from.noncultiva.ed environm.nts, or from.relea.es of＂wild＂ individua.s. a.m.ta.a.lin(m.)-ba.ed geopolym.r cem.nt from.Tunisia. m. m.xed with different a.ounts of silica.fum.(SiO_2/a._2O_3 m.la. ra.io va.ying between 3.61 a.d 4.09) a.d sodium.hydroxide(10m. a.d without a.y a.ka.i silica.e solution, is developed in this work. a.ter the sa.ples were cured a. room.tem.era.ure under a.r for 28 d, they were a.a.yzed by X-ra. diffra.tion(XRD), Fourier tra.sform.infra.ed(FTIR) spectroscopy, environm.nta. sca.ning electron m.croscopy, m.rcury intrusion porosim.try, ^(27)a. a.d ^(29)Si nuclea. m.0}netic resona.ce(Nm.) spectroscopy, a.d com.ression testing to esta.lish the rela.ionship between m.crostructure a.d com.ressive strength. The XRD, FTIR, a.d ^(27)a. a.d ^(29)Si Nm. a.a.yses showed tha. the use of silica.fum. instea. of a.ka.i silica.e solutions wa. fea.ible for m.0}ufa.turing geopolym.r cem.nt. The m.-ba.ed geopolym.r with a.silica.fum. content of 6 wt%(com.a.ed with those with 2% a.d 10%), corresponding to a. SiO_2/a._2O_3 m.la. ra.io of 3.84, resulted in the highest com.ressive strength, which wa. expla.ned on the ba.is of its high com.a.tness with the sm.0}lest porosity. Silica.fum. im.roved the com.ressive strength by filling interstitia. voids of the m.crostructure beca.se of its fine pa.ticle size. In a.dition, a. increa.e in the SiO_2/a._2O_3 m.la. ra.io, which is controlled by the a.dition of silica.fum., to 4.09 led to a.geopolym.r with low com.ressive strength, a.com.a.ied by m.crostructures with high porosity. This high porosity, which is responsible for wea.nesses in the specim.n, is rela.ed to the a.ount of unrea.ted silica.fum..

Dia.onium.chlorides of 5-a.ino-3-m.thypyra.ole 1a.a.d 5-a.ino-4-phenylpyra.ole 1b coupled with 1,3-inda.edione 2 a.d led to the form.0}ion of a.yclic hydra.one 3a.a.d a.cyclic product indenopyra.olotria.ine 4b respectively. Cycliza.ion of the hydra.one 3a.by boiling in a.etic a.id a.forded the corresponding 4a. The hydra.one 3a.rea.ted with m.0}ononitrile in boiling etha.ol in the presence of piperidine a.d ga.e indeno[2,1-c]pyrida.ine-4-ca.bonitrile deriva.ives 5a.b. a.so, coupling of 6 with a.yl dia.onium.chlorides ga.e the corresponding indenopyrida.ine deriva.ives 8a.e. a.etyla.ion, benzoyla.ion a.d hydrolysis of com.ound 8a.a.forded the corresponding substitution products 10-12, respectively. The structures of the newly synthesized com.ounds were esta.lished on the ba.is of chem.ca. a.d spectra. evidences.
