BACKGROUND Patients with diabetes mellitus(Dm)are predisposed to an increased risk of infection signifying the importance of vaccination to protect against its potentially severe *** Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices(CDC/ACIP)issued immunization recommendations to protect this patient *** To assess the adherence of patients with Dm to the CDC/ACIP immunization recommendations in Saudi Arabia and to identify the factors associated with the vaccine adherence *** An observational retrospective study conducted in 2023 was used to collect data on the vaccination records from 13 diabetes care centers in Saudi Arabia with 1000 eligible patients in phase I with data collected through chart review and 709 patients in phase II through online *** Among participants,10.01%(n=71)had never received any vaccine,while 85.89%(n=609)received at least one dose of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)vaccine,and 34.83%(n=247)had received the annual influenza *** 2.96%(n=21),2.11%(n=15),and 1.12%(n=8)received herpes zoster,tetanus,diphtheria,and pertussis(Tdap),and human papillomavirus(HPV)vaccines,*** patients with Dm in Saudi Arabia,the rate of vaccination for annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccines was higher compared to other vaccinations such as herpes zoster,Tdap,pneumococcal,and *** such as vaccine recommendations provided by family physicians or specialists,site of care,income level,Dm-related hospitalization history,residency site,hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)level,and health sector type can significantly influence the vaccination rate in patients with *** non-vaccinated patients with Dm,the most reported barriers were lack of knowledge and fear of side *** signifies the need for large-scale research in this area to identify additional factors that might facilitate adherence to CDC/ACIP vaccine recommendations in patients with *** In S

The Internet of Things(IoT)is growing rapidly and impacting almost every aspect of our lives,fromwearables and healthcare to security,traffic management,and fleet management *** has generated massive volumes of data and security,and data privacy risks are increasing with the advancement of technology and network *** access control solutions are inadequate for establishing access control in IoT systems to provide data protection owing to their vulnerability to single-point OF ***,conventional privacy preservation methods have high latency costs and overhead for resource-constrained *** machine learning approaches were also unable to detect denial-of-service(DoS)*** study introduced a novel decentralized and secure framework for blockchain *** avoid single-point OF failure,an accredited access control scheme is incorporated,combining blockchain with local peers to record each transaction and verify the signature to ***-based attribute-based cryptography is implemented to protect data storage privacy by generating threshold parameters,managing keys,and revoking users on the *** innovative contract-based DOS attack mitigation method is also incorporated to effectively validate devices with intelligent contracts as trusted or untrusted,preventing the server from becoming *** proposed framework effectively controls access,safeguards data privacy,and reduces the risk of *** results depict that the suggested framework outperforms the results in terms of accuracy,precision,sensitivity,recall,and F-measure at 96.9%,98.43%,98.8%,98.43%,and 98.4%,respectively.

Light-driven dry reforming of methane toward syngas presents a proper solution for alleviating climate change and for the sustainable supply of transportation fuels and ***,Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) nanowires supported by silicon wafer are explored as an ideal platform for loading Rh nanoparticles,thus assembling a new nanoarchitecture for this grand *** combination with the remarkable photothermal synergy,the O atoms in Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) can significantly lower the apparent activation energy of dry reforming of methane from 2.96 eV downward to 1.70 *** as-designed Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) NWs nanoarchitecture thus demonstrates a measurable syngas evolution rate of 180.9 mmol g_(cat)^(-1) h^(-1) with a marked selectivity of 96.3% under concentrated light illumination of 6 W cm^(-2).What is more,a high turnover number(TON)of 4182 mol syngas per mole Rh has been realized after six reuse cycles without obvious activity *** correlative 18O isotope labeling experiments,in-situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(ISI-XPS)and in-situ diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy characterizations,as well as density functional theory calculations reveal that under light illumination,Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) NWs facilitate releasing^(*)CH_(3) and H^(+)from CH_(4) by holes,followed by H_(2) evolution from H^(+)reduction with ***,the O atoms in Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) can directly participate in CO generation by reacting with the ^(*)C species from CH_(4) dehydrogenation and contributes to the coke elimination,in concurrent formation of O *** resultant O vacancies are then replenished by CO_(2),showing an ideal chemical *** work presents a green strategy for syngas production via light-driven dry reforming of methane.

Solvents are generally used to reduce the viscosity of heavy crude oil and ultimately enhance oil ***,a new method has been introduced where nanoparticles(NPs)are exploited to induce enhanced oil recovery owing to their ability to improve the mobility ratio,dampen the interfacial tension,and alter rock *** study investigated the integration of nano-alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))NPs with an n-hexane *** parti-cular,a Brookfield viscometer has been used to measure the crude oil viscosity and it has been found that NPs can effectively lead to a significant decrease in the overall oil viscosity(70 cp using the solvent only,45 cp when NPs are added).

The enhancement of medical images is a challenging research task due to the unforeseeable variation in the quality of the captured *** captured images may present with low contrast and low visibility,which might inuence the accuracy of the diagnosis *** overcome this problem,this paper presents a new fractional integral entropy(FITE)that estimates the unforeseeable probabilities of image pixels,posing as the main contribution of the *** proposed model dynamically enhances the image based on the image *** main advantage of FITE lies in its capability to enhance the low contrast intensities through pixels’***,the pixel probability of the fractional power is utilized to extract the illumination value from the pixels of the ***,the contrast of the image is then adjusted to enhance the regions with low ***,the fractional integral entropy approach is implemented to enhance the low visibility contents from the input *** were conducted on brain mRI,lungs CT,and kidney mRI scans datasets of different image qualities to show that the proposed model is robust and can withstand dramatic variations in *** obtained comparative results show that the proposed image enhancement model achieves the best BRISQUE and NIQE ***,this model improves the details of brain mRI,lungs CT,and kidney mRI scans,and could therefore potentially help the medical staff during the diagnosis process.

为了有效去除聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)微塑料,采用碱性水解方法将PET微塑料升级再造,制备缺陷铁基金属有机框架(Fe-mOFs)催化剂,用于催化臭氧深度处理模拟印染废水.结果表明,在Na OH浓度为2mol/L、水解温度120℃、水解时间120min的条件下,PET微塑料去除率达100%,对苯二甲酸钠盐(Na_(2)TPA)产率达97.4%;以PET微塑料水解产物为前驱体,发展了2种简易方法制备缺陷型Fe-mOFs催化剂.通过扫描电子显微镜(SEm)、X射线粉末衍射仪(PXRD)、傅里叶红外光谱仪(FT-IR)及X射线光电子能谱仪(XPS)等对缺陷Fe-mOFs催化剂的形貌特征、晶体结构、分子结构以及元素种类进行表征,证明催化剂具有缺陷结构.研究评估了2种催化剂催化臭氧降解AO-7性能,其中D-Fe-mOF催化剂可在3min内完全降解AO-7,反应速率常数达0.926min^(-1),是W-Fe-mOF催化剂和单独臭氧的3.6倍和7.3倍.

The boundary-layer flow and heat transfer in a viscous fluid containing metallic nanoparticles over a nonlinear stretching sheet are analyzed. The stretching velocity is assumed to vary as a power function of the distance from the origin. The governing partial differential equation and auxiliary conditions are reduced to coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations with the appropriate corresponding auxiliary conditions. The resulting nonlinear ordinary differential equations （ODEs） are solved numerically. The effects of various relevant parameters, namely, the Eckert number Ec, the solid volume fraction of the nanoparticles ~, and the nonlinear stretching parameter n are discussed. The comparison with published results is also presented. Different types of nanoparticles are studied. It is shown that the behavior of the fluid flow changes with the change of the nanoparticles type.

为制备兼具传感和抗菌功能的导电水凝胶,以聚乙烯醇(PVA)和透明质酸(HA)为原料,通过原位聚合和冻融法制得氧化锌/聚(3,4-乙烯二氧噻吩)/聚乙烯醇/透明质酸(ZnO/PEDOT/PVA/HA,简写ZP)导电水凝胶;并对其形貌、结构组成、力学性能、传感性能及其抗菌性能进行分析。结果表明:氧化锌的质量分数在0.3%时,ZP导电水凝胶的电导率最高可达2.91 S/m;ZP导电水凝胶具有良好的拉伸应变性能(≥100%)、灵敏的响应速度(ms)和较好的稳定性(>1000次),能够对人体不同部位的运动信号进行监测识别;此外,ZP导电水凝胶对金黄色葡萄球菌(***)和大肠杆菌(***)具有良好的抑制效果。该导电水凝胶在柔性可穿戴传感器及医疗健康监测方面具有良好的应用前景。

Effect of Bohm quantum potential in the propagation of ion–acoustic waves in degenerate plasmas

A theoretical investigation has been carried out on the propagation of the ion–acoustic(IA) waves in a relativistic degenerate plasma containing relativistic degenerate electron and positron fluids in the presence of inertial non-relativistic light ion fluid. The Korteweg-de Vries(K-dV), modified K-dV(m K-dV), and mixed m K-dV(mm K-dV) equations are derived by adopting the reductive perturbation method. In order to analyze the basic features(phase speed, amplitude, width,etc.) of the IA solitary waves(SWs), the SWs solutions of the K-dV, m K-dV, and mm K-d V are numerically analyzed. It is found that the degenerate pressure, inclusion of the new phenomena like the Fermi temperatures and quantum mechanical effects(arising due to the quantum diffraction) of both electrons and positrons, number densities, etc., of the plasma species remarkably change the basic characteristics of the IA SWs which are found to be formed either with positive or negative potential. The implication of our results in explaining different nonlinear phenomena in astrophysical compact objects, e.g.,white dwarfs, neutron stars, etc., and laboratory plasmas like intense laser–solid matter interaction experiments, etc., are mentioned.
