Acti., a hi.hly conserved protei., plays a domi.ant role i. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Late di.gnosi. and the aggressi.e nature of NSCLC pose a si.ni.i.ant threat. Studyi.g the cli.i. pathologi.al properti.s of NSCLC protei.s i. a potenti.l alternati.e for developi.g treatment strategi.s. Towards thi., 35 downregulated acti. cytoskeletal protei.s on NSCLC prognosi. and treatment were studi.d by exami.i.g thei. protei.-protei. i.teracti.ns, gene ontology enri.hment terms, and si.nali.g pathways. Usi.g PubMed, vari.us protei.s i. NSCLC were i.enti.i.d. The protei.-protei. i.teracti.ns and functi.nal associ.ti.ns of these protei.s were exami.ed usi.g the STRi.G database. The focal adhesi.n si.nali.g pathway was selected from all avai.able KEGG and Wi.i.pathways because of i.s role i. regulati.g gene expressi.n, faci.i.ati.g cell movement and reproducti.n, and si.ni.i.antly i.pacti.g NSCLC. The protei.-protei. i.teracti.n network of the 35 downregulated acti. cytoskeleton protei.s revealed that ACTG1, ACTR2, ACTR3, ANXA2, ARPC4, FLNA, TLN1, CALD1, MYL6, MYH9, MYH10, TPM1, TPM3, TPM4, PFN1, i.GAP1, MSN, and ZXY exhi.i.ed the hi.hest number of i.teracti.ns. Whereas HSPB1, CTNNA1, KRT17, KRT7, FLNB, SEPT2, and TUBA1B di.played medi.m i.teracti.ns, whi.e UTRN, TUBA1B, and DUSP23 had relati.ely fewer i.teracti.ns. i. was di.covered that focal adhesi.ns are cri.i.al i. connecti.g membrane receptors wi.h the acti. cytoskeleton. i. addi.i.n, protei. ki.ases, phosphatases, and adapter protei.s were i.enti.i.d as key si.nali.g molecules i. thi. process, greatly i.fluenci.g cell shape, moti.i.y, and gene expressi.n. Our analysi. shows that the focal adhesi.n pathway plays a cruci.l role i. NSCLC and i. essenti.l for developi.g effecti.e treatment strategi.s and i.provi.g pati.nt outcomes.

Gamma-ray spectroscopy based on a 100% effi.i.ncy hyper-pure germani.m detector was used to evaluate the acti.i.y concentrati.ns of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K natural radi.nucli.es i. sedi.entary, conglomerate, i.neous and sedi.ments rock samples collected from four di.ferent locati.ns i. Eastern desert i. Egypt. The obtai.ed acti.i.y concentrati.ns are used to evaluate the radi.ologi.al hazards i.di.es, absorbed dose rate, annual effecti.e dose equi.alent i. ai., radi.m equi.alent, external and i.ternal hazard i.dex, radi.ti.n level i.dex, annual gonadal dose equi.alent, excess li.eti.e cancer ri.k and expo-sure rate. The results show that 1) the absorbed dose rate depends on the rock type, 2) the annual effecti.e dose equi.alent i. ai. i. 71% of sample below 20 mSvy-1 (permi.si.le li.i. for workers), 3) the conglomerate rocks show low radi.acti.i.y level, 4) sedi.entary rocks are ri.h i. radi.m whi.e i.neous rocks are ri.h i. thori.m and the sedi.ents rocks are ri.h i. both radi.m and thori.m.
