Health benefits of traditional Chinese sports and physical activity for older adults: A systematic review of evidence

Background: Traditional Chinese sports and physical activities(PAs) have a long history and are practiced by millions of Chinese. However,relatively few systematic reviews of the scientific evidence for their health benefits, especially for older Chinese adults, have been undertaken.Evidence acquisition: Between January and March 2016, a systematic search was conducted using the CNKI and Pub Med databases to identify studies published between 2000 and 2015. Studies were selected for review if they were designed specifically to evaluate the health benefits of traditional Chinese sports and PAs in adults aged 50 years and older in the Mainland of China. The studies included observational, uncontrolled,and randomized and controlled designs. Papers published without an English title or abstract were excluded.Evidence synthesis: The initial search identified a total of 229 studies. After removing duplicates and studies that did not meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria, 95 studies were selected for review. Special attention was given to studies of the most commonly practiced activities: Tai Ji Quan,Qigong, and Yangko exercises. A positive association between these types of exercise and health benefits was noted for healthy older adults and those with chronic diseases. Evidence on other types of activities was less clear due to the limited number of studies conducted.Conclusion: There is promising evidence that traditional Chinese sports and PAs provide many health benefits for older Chinese adults. While additional scientifically rigorous research is warranted, promoting these traditional and culturally-based sports and PAs as forms of behavioral medicine in primary and secondary prevention of diseases among the aging Chinese population will help fulfill an urgent public health need.

本文针对动态释放、异质性强的B2C电商波次订单的物流配送决策难题,以提高车辆满载率、降低配送成本为目标,研究考虑波次订单动态释放的B2C电商订单城区物流合并配送问题。首先,将原动态问题建模为一阶马尔可夫决策过程以表达其多阶段时序序贯决策的特点;其次,基于状态转移具有的时序特征,提出一种基于时序预测的前向动态规划方法用于寻找最优策略,将时序预测信息融入到合并配送决策的模型中,并结合定性启发式规则与定量优化模型以兼顾方法的决策效率与优化能力;最后,基于标准算例下的数值实验和某B2C电商平台的实例分析,验证了所提方法的有效性和实用性。此研究可为B2C电商订单物流配送提供决策支持,同时对于状态转移具有时序特征的马尔可夫决策问题提供了求解的新思路。

CirroData: Yet Another SQL-on-Hadoop Data Analytics Engine with High Performance

This paper presents CirroData,a high-performance SQL-on-Hadoop system designed for Big Data analytics workloads.As a home-grown enterprise-level online analytical processing(OLAP)system with more than seven-year research and development(R&D)experiences,we share our design details to the community about how to achieve high performance in CirroData.Multiple optimization techniques have been discussed in the paper.The effectiveness and the efficiency of all these techniques have been proved by our customers'daily usage.Benchmark-level studies,as well as several real application case studies of CirroData,have been presented in this paper.Our evaluations show that CirroData can outperform various types of counterpart database systems in the community,such as"Spark+Hive","Spark+HBase",Impala,DB-X/Y,Greenplum,HAWQ,and others.CirroData can achieve up to 4.99x speedup compared with Greenplum,HAWQ,and Spark in the standard TPC-H queries.Application-level evaluations demonstrate that CirroData outperforms"Spark+Hive"and"Spark+HBase"by up to 8.4x and 38.8x,respectively.In the meantime,CirroData achieves the performance speedups for some application workloads by up to 20x,100x,182.5x,92.6x,and 55.5x as compared with Greenplum,DB-X,Impala,DB-Y,and HAWQ,respectively.

为降低光纤陀螺因温度效应产生的零偏漂移,以基于最小二乘法的多项式补偿模型和经遗传算法优化后的BP神经网络模型(GA-BP)为基学习器,通过集成学习算法建立了光纤陀螺的温度补偿模型,并对补偿后的光纤陀螺进行在线温度补偿实验。实验结果表明,该模型在-40~+60℃温变环境下将光纤陀螺的全过程零偏漂移降低了85%以上,且补偿后的启动段零偏输出均值更接近零位。

Correlation analysis between the Aral Sea shrinkage and the Amu Darya River

The shrinkage of the Aral Sea,which is closely related to the Amu Darya River,strongly affects the sustainability of the local natural ecosystem,agricultural production,and human well-being.In this study,we used the Bayesian Estimator of Abrupt change,Seasonal change,and Trend(BEAST)model to detect the historical change points in the variation of the Aral Sea and the Amu Darya River and analyse the causes of the Aral Sea shrinkage during the 1950–2016 period.Further,we applied multifractal detrend cross-correlation analysis(MF-DCCA)and quantitative analysis to investigate the responses of the Aral Sea to the runoff in the Amu Darya River,which is the main source of recharge to the Aral Sea.Our results showed that two significant trend change points in the water volume change of the Aral Sea occurred,in 1961 and 1974.Before 1961,the water volume in the Aral Sea was stable,after which it began to shrink,with a shrinkage rate fluctuating around 15.21 km3/a.After 1974,the water volume of the Aral Sea decreased substantially at a rate of up to 48.97 km3/a,which was the highest value recorded in this study.In addition,although the response of the Aral Sea's water volume to its recharge runoff demonstrated a complex non-linear relationship,the replenishment of the Aral Sea by the runoff in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River was identified as the dominant factor affecting the Aral Sea shrinkage.Based on the scenario analyses,we concluded that it is possible to slow down the retreat of the Aral Sea and restore its ecosystem by increasing the efficiency of agricultural water use,decreasing agricultural water use in the middle and lower reaches,reducing ineffective evaporation from reservoirs and wetlands,and increasing the water coming from the lower reaches of the Amu Darya River to the 1961–1973 level.These measures would maintain and stabilise the water area and water volume of the Aral Sea in a state of ecological restoration.Therefore,this study focuses on how human consumption of recharge runoff affects the Ara

Deformation failure and countermeasures of deep tertiary extremely soft rock roadway in Liuhai coal mine

In view of failure phenomena with nonlinear large deformation including extensive damage,whole section destruction in short time,high rate of repair,most destruction forms occurred in the tertiary roadway of soft rocks engineering in Liuhai mine,according to the methods of geological survey,theoretical analysis,numerical calculation and in-situ test,the composite failure mechanism of molecular expansion,tectonic stress,gravity stress and engineering deviatoric stress,faults and random joint in this area is analyzed deeply,then an coupling support of double-layer-truss is proposed.The research results show that the first wave of deformation energy was released by bolt-mesh-cable fixed into the roof,floor and two sides of the roadway.While the second wave of deformation energy was released through the interface function between double-layer-truss and the surrounding rock.The double-layer-truss that characterized by high strength,good integrity can absorb high deformation energy of surrounding rocks,which led to the uniform distribution of the stress.Engineering practice shows this technology has been successfully applied to control the deformation failure of the tertiary extremely soft rock roadway.

Repurposing diacerein to suppress colorectal cancer growth by inhibiting the DCLK1/STAT3 signaling pathway

Double cortin-like kinase 1(DCLK1)exhibits high expression levels across various cancers,notably in human colorectal cancer(CRC).Diacerein,a clinically approved interleukin(IL)-1βinhibitor for osteoarthritis treatment,was evaluated for its impact on CRC proliferation and migration,alongside its underlying mechanisms,through both in vitro and in vivo analyses.The study employed MTT assay,colony formation,wound healing,transwell assays,flow cytometry,and Hoechst 33342 staining to assess cell proliferation,migration,and apoptosis.Additionally,proteome microarray assay and western blotting analyses were conducted to elucidate diacerein’s specific mechanism of action.Our findings indicate that diacerein significantly inhibits DCLK1-dependent CRC growth in vitro and in vivo.Through high-throughput proteomics microarray and molecular docking studies,we identified that diacerein directly interacts with DCLK1.Mechanistically,the suppression of p-STAT3 expression following DCLK1 inhibition by diacerein or specific DCLK1 siRNA was observed.Furthermore,diacerein effectively disrupted the DCLK1/STAT3 signaling pathway and its downstream targets,including MCL-1,VEGF,and survivin,thereby inhibiting CRC progression in a mouse model,thereby inhibiting CRC progression in a mouse model.

Landslides have occurred frequently in the Luoshan mining area because of disordered mining.This paper discusses the landforms and physiognomy,hydro-meteorology,formation lithology,and geologic structure of the Luoshan mining area.It also describes the factors influencing the slope stability of landslide No.Ⅲ,determines the general parameters and typical section plane,analyzes the stress-strain state of the No.Ⅲ slope,and calculates its safety factors with FLAC3 D under saturated and natural conditions.Based on a stability analysis,a remote real-time monitoring system was applied to the No.Ⅲ slope,and these monitoring data were collected and analyzed.

Raman spectrum feature extraction and diagnosis of oil-paper insulation ageing based on kernel principal component analysis

Raman spectroscopy, with its specific ability to generate a unique fingerprint‐like spec-trum of certain substances, has attracted much attention in diagnosing the ageing degree of oil-paper insulation. In this study, the feature extraction and ageing diagnosis methods of oil-paper insulation Raman spectroscopy data are further studied. Based on the non‐linear analysis of Raman spectra of different ageing samples, kernel principal component analysis was applied to extract the spectral features, and the back‐propagation neural network was used to build a diagnosis model with high diagnostic accuracy. The results show that Raman spectroscopy combined with kernel principal component analysis and the back‐propagation neural network can diagnose the ageing state of oil-paper insu-lation, with a diagnostic accuracy of 91.43% (64/70). The proposed method provides an effective and feasible method for the ageing assessment of oil‐immersed electrical equipment.

Fracture mechanism of inversed trapezoidal shaped tunnel excavated in 45° inclined rock strata

In order to understand failure mechanisms of the tunnel excavated in the stratified rock masses in deep mine, the physical modeling experiment by using the large-scale model was carried out. The field case simulated in the experiment is a main connection tunnel located at depth of 1000 m in Qishan coal mine,Xuzhou mining district. Tunnel deformation was monitored by using strain gauges and a video camera simultaneously. Crack initiation and propagation process during the test were analyzed based on image analysis of the captured video photographs. At the same time, deformation process of the key monitoring points around the tunnel section is given by the monitored strain plots. Under the increasing external loads, crack initiation occurs firstly on the left wall of the tunnel, then on the immediate roof.Complete failure of the tunnel occurs as a result of the slippage of the rock layers along the interfaces.
