Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus(MERS-Co V) has emerged in the Arabian Gulf region, with its epicentre in Saudi Arabia, the host of the ‘Hajj' which is the world's the largest mass gathering. Transmission of MERS-Co V at such an event could lead to its rapid worldwide dissemination. Therefore, we studied the frequency of viruses causing influenza-like illnesses(ILI) among participants in a randomised controlled trial at the Hajj 2013. We recruited 1038 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia, Australia and Qatar during the first day of Hajj and followed them closely for four days. A nasal swab was collected from each pilgrim who developed ILI. Respiratory viruses were detected using multiplex RT-PCR. ILI occurred in 112/1038(11%) pilgrims. Their mean age was 35 years, 49(44%) were male and 35(31%) had received the influenza vaccine pre-Hajj. Forty two(38%) pilgrims had laboratory-confirmed viral infections; 28(25%) rhinovirus, 5(4%) influenza A, 2(2%) adenovirus, 2(2%) human coronavirus OC43/229 E, 2(2%) parainfluenza virus 3, 1(1%) parainfluenza virus 1, and 2(2%) dual infections. No MERS-Co V was detected in any sample. Rhinovirus was the commonest cause of ILI among Hajj pilgrims in 2013. Infection control and appropriate vaccination are necessary to prevent transmission of respiratory viruses at Hajj and other mass gatherings.

Computer vision is one of the significant trends in computer *** plays as a vital role in many applications,especially in the medical *** detection and segmentation of different tumors is a big challenge in the medical *** proposed framework uses ultrasound images from Kaggle,applying five diverse models to denoise the images,using the best possible noise-free image as input to the U-Net model for segmentation of the tumor,and then using the Convolution Neural Network(CNN)model to classify whether the tumor is benign,malignant,or *** main challenge faced by the framework in the segmentation is the speckle ***’s is a multiplicative and negative issue in breast ultrasound imaging,because of this noise,the image resolution and contrast become reduced,which affects the diagnostic value of this imaging *** result,speckle noise reduction is very vital for the segmentation *** framework uses five models such as Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),Denoising U-Shaped Net(D-U-NET),Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-UNET),Generative Adversarial Network(GAN),and Nonlocal Neutrosophic ofWiener Filtering(NLNWF)for reducing the speckle noise from the breast ultrasound images then choose the best image according to peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)for each level of *** five used methods have been compared with classical filters such as Bilateral,Frost,Kuan,and Lee and they proved their efficiency according to PSNR in different levels of *** five diverse models are achieved PSNR results for speckle noise at level(0.1,0.25,0.5,0.75),(33.354,29.415,27.218,24.115),(31.424,28.353,27.246,24.244),(32.243,28.42,27.744,24.893),(31.234,28.212,26.983,23.234)and(33.013,29.491,28.556,25.011)forDGAN,Br-U-NET,D-U-NET,GANand NLNWF *** to the value of PSNR and level of speckle noise,the best image passed for segmentation using U-Net and classification usingCNNto detect tumor *** experiments proved

People who are deaf or have difficulty speaking use sign language,which consists of hand gestures with particular motions that symbolize the“language”they are communicating.A gesture in a sign language is a particular movement of the hands with a specific shape from the fingers and whole *** this paper,we present an Intelligent for Deaf/Dumb People approach in real time based on Deep Learning using Gloves(IDLG).The approach IDLG offers scientific contributions based deep-learning,a multimode command techniques,real-time,and effective use,and high accuracy *** this purpose,smart gloves working in real time were *** data obtained from the gloves was processed using deep-learning-based approaches and classified multi-mode commands that allow dumb people to speak with regular people via their smart ***,the glove has five flex sensors and an accelerometer using to achieve Low-Cost Control *** flex sensor generates a proportional change in resistance for each individual *** processing of these hand gestures is in Atmega32A Microcontroller which is an advance version of the microcontroller and the lab view *** compares the input signal to memory-stored specified voltage *** performance of the IDLG approach was verified on a dataset created using different hand gestures from 20 different *** the test using the IDLG approach on 10,000 data points,process time performance of milliseconds was achieved with 97%accuracy.

BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are a type of stem cells that possess relevant regenerative abilities and can be used to treat many chronic *** mellitus(DM)is a frequently diagnosed chronic disease characterized by hyperglycemia which initiates many multisystem complications in the *** patients can benefit from MSCs transplantation to curb down the pathological consequences associated with hyperglycemia persistence and restore the function of damaged *** therapeutic outcomes are found to last for short period of time and ultimately these regenerative cells are eradicated and died in DM disease *** To investigate the impact of high glucose or hyperglycemia on the cellular and molecular characteristics of *** Human adipose tissue-derived MSCs(hAD-MSCs)were seeded in low(5.6 mmol/L of glucose)and high glucose(25 mmol/L of glucose)for 7 ***,viability,mitochondrial dynamics,and apoptosis were deplored using specific *** blotting was performed to measure the protein expression of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K),TSC1,and mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)in these *** hAD-MSCs cultured in high glucose for 7 d demonstrated marked decrease in their viability,as shown by a significant increase in lactate dehydrogenase(Pells compared to low glucose *** membrane potential,indicated by tetramethylrhodamine ethyl ester(TMRE)fluorescence intensity,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)/NADH ratio were significantly dropped(P<0.05 for TMRE and P<0.01 for NAD+/NADH)in high glucose exposed hAD-MSCs,indicating disturbed mitochondrial ***3K protein expression significantly decreased in high glucose culture MSCs(P<0.05 compared to low glucose)and it was coupled with significant upregulation in TSC1(P<0.05)and downregulation in mTOR protein expression(P<0.05).Mitochondrial complexes I,IV,and V were downregul

el-Burullus Lake is one of the four Egyptian Ramsar sites that constitute internationally important wetlands as they contain a rich biodiversity and have a large number of water bird *** the valuable resources in el-Burullus Lake and its surrounding area have faced various threats to wetlands over recent *** study was carried out to evaluate the dynamics of land cover change using three change scenes of recent and past satellite data from 1990 to *** study utilized ArcGIS10.7,ERDAS Imagine 14,Landsat TM(1990,1999,and 2010),Landsat OLI-TIRS(2019)to analyze the land-use/land-cover(LULC)of el-Burullus *** Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)and Normal-ized Difference Water Index(NDWI)were employed to assess the change scenario of the *** indicated that vegetated land has increased significantly with a concomitant shrinkage in the water body and open soil during the study *** 53 km^2(7.0%)of water body and 8.7 km^2(1.3%)of open soil were lost,while vegetation areas expanded to approximately 29.9 km^2(7.4%).Factors that underpin the observed changes in the area are;reclamation projects and fish-farms which are creating the danger of drying up of the southern coastal parts of the lake,as well as spreading of reed beds(mainly:Phragmites australis)that covers about 20%of el-Burullus lake which led to dry up the lake ***,the study suggests the need for urgent attention on conservation of remaining wetland resources for sustainable utilization for the next generation.

This study investigates if the anti-tumor effect of Pterostilbene in the SKOV3 ovarian cancer(OC)cell line involves inhibition of cell metabolism and tested in this effect involves modulating AMPK and Akt-induced regulation of ***,SKOV3 cells were cultured in the humidified conditions in DMEM media for 24 h with or without increasing concentration of ***,the cells were incubated with Pterostilbene(IC_(50)=50μM)under similar conditions with or without pre-incubation with Dorsomorphin,an AMPK *** a dose-dependent manner,Pterostilbene inhibited SKOV3 cell survival and increased their lysate levels of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and single-stranded DNA(ssDNA).When SKOV3 cells were treated with 50μM Pterostilbene,Pterostilbene significantly suppressed cell migration and invasion,reduced lysate levels of lactic acid and the optical density of Oil Red O staining,and increased lysate glucose *** also increased levels of malondialdehyde(MDA),reactive oxygen species(ROS),and induced intrinsic cell apoptosis by upregulating protein levels of Bax and cleaved caspase-3 and reducing protein levels of ***,Pterostilbene reduced mRNA levels of sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBP-1),fatty acid synthase(FAS),acetyl CoA carboxylase-1(ACC-1),and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK).Furthermore,Pterostilbene increased the protein levels of p-AMPK,p-p53,p-raptor,p-TSC-2,but significantly decreased protein levels of p-Akt,p-TSC-2,p-mTOR,p-S6K1,and *** with Dorsomorphin(CC)abolished all the anti-tumorigenesis effects afforded by Pterostilbene and prevented Pterostilbene-induced phosphorylation of Akt,p53,and *** conclusion,the tumorsuppressive effect of Pterostilbene in SKOV3 cells involves the induction of ROS and inhibition of dysregulation cell metabolism mainly due to AMPK-induced Akt-dependent or independent suppression of mTOR.

A Rare Case of Pyogenic Spondylodiscitis after Laparoscopic Sacro-Hysteropexy

Introduction: Pyogenic spondylodiscitis is a rare and severe complication of laparoscopic Sacro-Hysteropexy with a polypropylene mesh. The proper and early diagnosis following by medical treatment, if not responding, so we shift to surgical approach is very important to prevent irreversible complications. Case Presentation: A female patient 32 years old admitted to our Gyne-Oncology unit in el-Galaa Maternity Teaching Hospital, in Jan 2022 with a significant weakness in both lower limbs up to complete paralysis, by history she has done a laparoscopic Hystero-Sacro-Pexy with synthetic polypropylene mesh 2 weeks ago, all investigations were normal except WBCs was 14,000 and CRP was 28, MRI Finding was an Encysted collection likely seroma at sacral promontory 4 × 3 cm, surgical removal of the mesh was done, the mesh related to the sacrum was severely infected and pus formation was noticed, 4 hours after the operation there was a Dramatic response and complete resolution of symptoms within few days. Conclusion: Because of the rarity of this complication in the literature, Spondylodiscitis awareness of symptoms, timely diagnosis, and treatment including surgical removal of synthetic mesh after Sacro-Pexy are fundamental to prevent irreversible complications.
