In situ Hydrothermal Oxidation of Ternary FeCoNi Alloy Electrode for Overall Water Splitting

Exploring noble metal-free catalyst materials for high efficient electrochemical water splitting to produce hydrogen is strongly desired for renewable energy *** this article,a novel bifunctional catalytic electrode of insitu-grown type for alkaline water splitting based on FeCoNi alloy substrate has been successfully prepared via a facile one-step hydrothermal oxidation route in an alkaline hydrogen peroxide *** shows that the matrix alloy with the atom ratio 4∶3∶3 of Fe∶Co∶Ni can obtain the best catalytic performance when hydrothermally treated at 180℃for 18 h in the solution containing 1.8 M hydrogen peroxide and 3.6 M sodium *** as-prepared Fe_(0.4)Co_(0.3)Ni_(0.3)-1.8 electrode exhibits small overpotentials of only 184 and 175 mV at electrolysis current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)for alkaline OER and HER processes,*** overall water splitting at electrolysis current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)can be stably delivered at a low cell voltage of 1.62 *** characteristics including the large specific surface area,the high surface nickel content,the abundant catalyst species,the balanced distribution between bivalent and trivalent metal ions,and the strong binding of in-situ naturally growed catalytic layer to matrix are responsible for the prominent catalytic performance of the Fe_(0.4)Co_(0.3)Ni_(0.3)-1.8 electrode,which can act as a possible replacement for expensive noble metal-based materials.

A theoretical model of a circular flexure-mode piezoelectric bimorph ac- tuator is established. The circular bimorph structure, consisting of two flexible layers of piezoelectric material and a layer of metallic material in the middle, is powered to the flexural deformation. The analytical solutions including the statics solution and the dynamics solution are derived from the 3D equations of the linear theory of piezoelectric- ity. Numerical results are included to show the circular bimorph piezoelectric actuator （CBPA） performance, depending on the physical parameters.

NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF A 5-LAYER BEAM-LIKE PIEZOELECTRIC TRANSFORMER NEAR RESONANCE

The paper examines the weakly nonlinear behavior of a 5-layer beam-like piezo- electric transformer operating near resonance, where the main structure of the device consists of properly poled and electroded flexible piezoceramic four-layers separated by a central metallic layer. Nonlinear effects of the large deflection to induce the incidental implane extension near res- onance are considered, which is shown that on one side of the resonant frequency the output-input relation becomes nonlinear, and the other side output voltage experiences jumps.

THE APPLICATION OF ION EXCHANGERS IN THE PREPARTION OF WHEAT AGGLUTININ

In order to refine the products of wheat germ agglutinin(WGA),several ion exchangers,such as D261,732,DEAE-cellulose-32 and CM-cellulose-32, have been used to removed proteins and pigments with different colors,such as brown,red,yellow,green and black,in the extracts of wheat *** WGA obtained from this procedure has higher hemagglutination activity than that available from sigma Co. The minimum hemagglutination dose of the purified WGA for an equal volume of a 2% type A red blood cells is 4μg/*** is a mixture of isolectins with different isoelectric points,5.9,6.2 and *** molecular weight identified by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis are 15,000 dalton,18,000 dalton and 35,000 dalton,respectively.

Seperation and purifitation of human chorionic gonadotropion (HCG) in theurine sample of early pregnant women by D3520 resin adsorption chromatographyis repaied. The crude product obtained by DEAE - Cellulose 23 and DEAE Sephadex A50 column chromatography showed a high activity of HCG. Furtherpurifikation of the sample by gel filtration chromatography on a Sephadex G75 column gives a final preparation of 6000～ 6500 IU/mg. The preparation meets therequiTements of the pyrogn test in Chinese Law of Pharmacopoeia.

FGS was isolated and purified from laminaria japonica by enzymolysis, chromatography methods and so on. The high blood fat model was established by feeding mouse on high fat feedstuff. Compared with control group, the concentration of HDL-C, the ratio of HDL-C/TC increased;while the concentration of TC, LDL-C and TG decreased in experimental groups. Conclusion: FGS was an effective serum lipid regulator and can be developed as medicine and health food.

Single crystals of methylammonium lead trihalide perovskites have been widely applied in the research of next-generation photodetectors due to their remarkable light-harvesting properties,low trap density,and good carrier transport ***,the presented work demonstrates the high-quality and millimeter-scale single crystals CHNHPbBr and CHNHPbI perovskite-based planar photodetectors modified by ITC *** highest photoresponsivity of CHNHPbBr photodetector can reach ～111 A/W under the visible illumination of 520 nm light and the highest photoresponsivity of CHNHPbI photodetector can reach ～568 A/W under the infrared illumination of 895 nm *** photodetectors also demonstrate the high on/off ratio(80 %) and fast response *** implies that CHNHPbBr and CHNHPbI single crystals based photodetectors reveal great attention for the application of the Vis-NIR photodetection.

IMMUNOMODULATING EFFECTS OF THE FUCOIDAN-GALACTOSAN SULFATE (F_12) ON MACROPHAGES IN MICE

The immunomodulating effects of F12 on mouse peritoneal macrophages was intended to be studied with different doses of 20, 40, 80 and 120mg/Kg. F12 increased peroxidase activity in dexc dependent mammer from 0.02±0.001 to 0.175±0.038, 0.211±0.041, 0.137±0.045 and 0.078±0.036, respectively, increased cytotoxicity from 127.33±22.96 to 162.74±19.53, 237.30±25.15 , 178.62±36.22 and 158.66±42.75dpm, respectively, promoted phagocytic activity from 0.03±0.01 to0.21±0.016, 0.43±0.041, 0.40±0.032 and 0.30±0.160b. Furthermore, F12 in a concentration of 15, 30,60,120μg/ml enhanced IL-1 production from 0.15±0.02 to 0.20±0.005b 0.21±0.02,0.22±0.005,0.24±0.002 and 0.22±0.02,respectively. Thus F12 can be considered as an effective stimulator of macrophages.

STUDIES ON THE ISOLATION PURIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF THE FUCOIDAN-GALACTOSAN SULFATE (FGS) FROM LAMINARIA JAPONICA

FGS, isolated from the water solution of enzymolyzed laminaria japonica, is a mixture of acid heteroglycans. Four fractions F1, F2, F3, and F4 were obtained from FGS by ion exchange chromatography. After further purified by gel filtration chromatography on a sepharose 2B and 6B column, we obtained F9, F10, F11, and F12. They showed single band when identified by electrophoresis. The molecular weight of F9, F10, F11, and F12 was estimated to be 216, 120, 138 and 140KD respectively. They containedа-glucosidic bond by IR and 1H-NMR analysis. The typical absorption peaks of these polysaccharides were showed in UV and IR spectra. These polysaccharides contained rha, fuc, man, gal, and uronate when identified by paper chromatography (p.c) and gas chromatography (GC). The molar ratio of these sugars was also assayed.
