Recursive Filtering for Stochastic Systems With Filter-and-Forward Successive Relays

In this paper,the recursive filtering problem is considered for stochastic systems over filter-and-forward successive relay(FFSR)networks.An FFSR is located between the sensor and the remote filter to forward the measurement.In the successive relay,two cooperative relay nodes are adopted to forward the signals alternatively,thereby existing switching characteristics and inter-relay interferences(IRI).Since the filter-and-forward scheme is employed,the signal received by the relay is retransmitted after it passes through a linear filter.The objective of the paper is to concurrently design optimal recursive filters for FFSR and stochastic systems against switching characteristics and IRI of relays.First,a uniform measurement model is proposed by analyzing the transmission mechanism of FFSR.Then,novel filter structures with switching parameters are constructed for both FFSR and stochastic systems.With the help of the inductive method,filtering error covariances are presented in the form of coupled difference equations.Next,the desired filter gain matrices are further obtained by minimizing the trace of filtering error covariances.Moreover,the stability performance of the filtering algorithm is analyzed where the uniform bound is guaranteed on the filtering error covariance.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed filtering method over FFSR is verified by a three-order resistance-inductance-capacitance circuit system.

Dear Editor,In this paper,a recursive filtering problem(RRP)is addressed for nonlinear systems over full-duplex relay(FDR)networks.A FDR is adopted to forward measurements of the sensor to the filter.Because of concurrently transmitting and receiving,the FDR is interfered by the signals from itself,thereby exhibiting self-interference(SI).

In this paper,the event-triggered filtering problem is investigated for a class of nonlinear multi-rate systems.The nonlinearity is represented by a linear form with a norm-bounded uncertainty.In order to deal with the uncertainty resulting from the nonlinearities,a new augmentation approach is proposed to transform the multi-rate nonlinear system into a single-rate system.Based on the measurement outputs according to the event-triggering mechanism,an extended Kalman filter is adopted to estimate the systems state.Firstly,the upper bounds of the filtering error covariance are obtained at each sampling instant.Then,by recurring to the Lagrange multiplier method,the filter gains are obtained by minimizing the upper bound of the filtering error covariance.Finally,a simulation example is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed filtering approach.

In this paper,the robust recursive filtering problem is investigated for a class of uncertain multi-rate systems in sensor networks.Each sensor node receives signals from its neighboring node according to a given network topology.The uncertain multi-rate system under consideration is first transformed into a singular uncertain single-rate system by recurring to the lifting technique.Then,an optimal robust recursive filter is designed for the resulting singular uncertain single-rate system via a solution to an optimization problem.Moreover,the convergence of the filtering algorithm is also discussed.Finally,a simulation example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed design approach.

Herb-drug interaction in the protective effect of Alpinia officinarum against gastric injury induced by indomethacin based on pharmacokinetic, tissue distribution and excretion studies in rats

Alpinia officinarum Hance of the Chinese traditional herb for the treatment of emesis, abdominal pain and diarrhea has been used to counteract gastric disease induced by indomethacin in rats without obvious side effects. However, the role of herb-drug interaction between indomethacin and A. officinarum based on pharmacokinetic, tissue distribution and excretion still remains unknown. In this study, an ultra-fast liquid-tandem mass spectrometry(UFLC-MS/MS) method was developed for simultaneous determination of indomethacin and its three metabolites, O-desmethylindomethacin(ODI), deschlorobenzoylindomethacin(NDI) and indomethacin acyl-b-D-glucuronide(IDAbG) by oral administration of indomethacin solution with and without the ethanolic extract of A. officinarum and applied to comparative pharmacokinetic, tissue distribution and excretion studies. Our results clarified that oral administration of A. officinarum produced significant alterations in the pharmacokinetic parameters of indomethacin. And the pharmacokinetic interaction between indomethacin and A. officinarum reduced the systemic exposure of indomethacin and increased its elimination. Tissue distribution results demonstrated that co-administration of A. Officinarum could not reduce the accumulation of indomethacin in the target tissue of the stomach, but could accelerate the excretions of indomethacin and its three metabolites including ODI, NDI and IDAb G in the bile and feces of rats in the excretion study.Therefore, A. Officinarum might have a gastrointestinal protective effect through the interaction role with indomethacin based on the pharmacokinetics and excretion in rats.

Pterostilbene antagonizes homocysteine-induced oxidative stress,apoptosis and lipid deposition in vascular endothelial cells

Hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)causes oxidative stress, induces apoptosis, and leads to damage to the vascular endothelium is the starting point of atherosclerosis. Pterostilbene(Pte)has been reported to have antioxidant and anti-apoptotic effects under various pathological conditions. The purpose of this study was to explore whether Pte can inhibit the oxidative stress and apoptosis of vascular endothelium induced by homocysteine(Hcy)and to explain the possible mechanism by which it occurs. The results showed that 20 μmol/L Pte significantly reduced the accumulation of reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde, and lipids in cells induced by Hcy and promoted the activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase. The Hoechst 33342/PI staining assay showed that Pte antagonized Hcy-induced apoptosis. Pte inhibited Hcy-induced Akt dephosphorylation, increased p53, and decreased the Bcl-2/Bax ratio and caspase-9/caspase-3 activation in a dose-dependent manner. LY294002 pretreatment partially reversed the protective effect of Pte by blocking the PI3K/Akt pathway. Moreover, Pte reduced lipid deposition in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs). This study proposes that Pte can inhibit Hcy-induced oxidative stress and apoptosis of HUVECs, and the PI3K/Akt/p53 signaling pathway of apoptosis was revealed. These results suggest that Pte exhibits significant potential for dealing with HHcy-induced vascular endothelial injury, such as atherosclerosis.

Fibrosarcoma is a serious malignant mesenchymal tumor with strong invasiveness,high recurrence,and poor prognosis.Currently,surgical resection is the main treatment for fibrosarcoma.However,due to the lack of specific biomarkers,the inability to accurately diagnose fibrosarcoma can lead to sub-optimal surgical outcomes and decreased survival.Here,we seek to address this translational barrier and we show that DNA aptamer S11e was able to recognize fibrosarcoma cells(HT1080)but not human embryonic lung fibroblast cells with Kd values in the nanomolar range.In addition,we found that S11e discerned tumors in HT1080 xenograft mouse models and tumor tissues from fibrosarcoma patients.Furthermore,we demonstrated that S11e internalized into HT1080 cells independent of the lysosome pathway and located in mitochondria.Moreover,we revealed that S11e promoted the apoptosis of HT1080 cells and inhibited HT1080 cell migration.Finally,we investigated the biologically functional cellular target of S11e using a mass spectrometry approach,and identified that Diablo/SMAC protein is a cellular binding protein of S11e,by interacting to which S11e inhibited HT1080 cell migration and invasion.Taken together,these results provide the evidence that S11e may be useful for early diagnosis,targeted therapy,and prognostication of fibrosarcoma.

为提升3#煤层底抽巷的掘进效率,确定新型快速掘进工艺为“割矸+架棚(锚索)支护+滞后锚杆支护”,采用数值模拟分析确定锚杆支护的合理滞后距离,分别设计快速掘进施工工艺和平行作业流程,并在快速掘进工艺应用后进行掘进速度的对比分析。结果表明:快速掘进工艺应用后,底抽巷掘进效率提高了100%,平均单进水平提高了47%。
