气候危机下的能源转型与能源安全

目前各国均强调平衡处理能源转型与能源安全的关系,能源转型主要指低碳转型,能源安全实质上主要指化石能源的供应安全,表面上的平等对待掩盖了能源低碳转型受重视的程度远低于化石能源供应安全保障的事实。与历史上的能源转型相比,能源低碳转型的难度更大,且需要更快、更彻底。传统能源安全观重视化石能源的供应安全胜过消费安全,重视国家层次安全胜过个人层次安全,由于与政治军事因素的纠缠,传统能源安全观更容易导致能源竞争胜过能源合作。在气候危机日益迫近的背景下,各国需要准确认识能源安全与转型关系的现实,并加快进行战略和政策的纠偏:包括更加重视对个人安全的保护,推进气候适应;重塑能源转型与能源安全之间的关系,实现两者之间的真正平衡;拓展能源安全概念的涵义,更加重视能源的消费安全;重塑国家间能源关系,推进全球能源合作。

A novel bimetallic RuFe nanocluster to enable highly efficient oxygen reduction in zinc-air batteries

Zinc-air batteries(ZABs) have the advantages of high energy density and safety but their large-scale application is hindered by sluggish kinetics of four-electron aqueous O2redox reactions.Widely used Ruthenium(Ru)-based catalysts possess intrinsic oxygen evolution catalytic activity but suffer from insufficient oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) performance.Herein,to optimize the ORR activity of Ru-based catalyst,an iron(Fe)-coordinated,bimetallic RuFe cluster is constructed and homogeneously dispersed within nitrogen(N)-doped carbon layers(denoted as RuFe@NC).Benefitting from the optimized ORR activity and more active site exposure,the RuFe@NC exhibits superior ORR activity with a half wave potential(E1/2) of 0.88 V higher than that of Pt/C(0.82 V).Accordingly,the RuFe@NC-based ZAB outperforms the Pt/C+IrO2-based device,presenting a reduced polarization of 0.7 V and an enhanced cycling lifetime of 50 h at 10 mA cm-2.Moreover,the optimized structural design ultralow Ru loading(0.013 mgRucm-2) overcomes the cost barriers and demonstrates its high practicality.This bimetallic RuFe nanocluster opens a new way for future design of more efficient and stable catalytic systems.

More than 50%of prostate cancer(PCa)patients have bone metastasis with osteo-blastic lesions.MiR-18a-5p is associated with the development and metastasis of PCa,but it remains unclear whether it is involved in osteoblastic lesions.We first found that miR-18a-5p was highly expressed in the bone microenvironment of patients with PCa bone metastases.To address how miR-18a-5p affects PCa osteoblastic lesions,antagonizing miR-18a-5p in PCa cells or pre-osteoblasts inhibited osteoblast differentiation in vitro.Moreover,injection of PCa cells with miR-18a-5p inhibition improved bone biomechanical properties and bone mineral mass in vivo.Furthermore,miR-18a-5p was transferred to osteoblasts by exosomes derived from PCa cells and targeted the Hist1h2bc gene,resulting in Ctnnb1 up-regulation in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.Translationally,antagomir-18a-5p significantly improved bone biomechanical properties and alleviated sclerotic lesions from osteoblastic me-tastases in BALB/c nude mice.These data suggest that inhibition of exosome-delivered miR-18a-5p ameliorates PCa-induced osteoblastic lesions.

Genesis of Makeng-type Fe-polymetallic deposits in SE China:New constraints by geochronological and isotopic data from the Dapai–Makeng metallogenic system

The southwestern Fujian depression belt(SFDB)is an economically important Mesozoic Fe metallogenic belt in South China and is renowned for its Makeng-type Fe deposits,in which stratified skarn Fe orebodies generally occur in or near the contact zone between late Paleozoic carbonate sequences and Mesozoic granites.However,the genesis and geodynamic setting of these deposits remain unclear because the characteristics of the widely distributed Pb–Zn–Cu and Mo orebodies in these deposits and the temporal,spatial,and genetic relationships between magmatism and mineralization are poorly defined.The Dapai Fe polymetallic deposit in the SFDB is a typical example of Makeng-type Fe deposits but also has regional significance,whereby the stratified skarn Fe orebodies have overprinted the stratabound Pb–Zn–Cu mineralization followed by final fissure-filling by vein-disseminated Mo mineralization.A detailed geological investigation suggests that episodic magmatic–hydrothermal events were involved in the formation process of the Dapai Fe polymetallic deposit.Pyrite and sphalerite from the Pb–Zn–Cu orebodies yield an Rb–Sr isochron age of 175.5±3.3 Ma,which is regarded as the timing of Pb–Zn–Cu mineralization.Zircon grains from Fe-mineralized granodiorite porphyry and Mo-mineralized monzogranite yield weighted-mean 206Pb/238U ages of 146.3±0.9 Ma and 131.7±0.4 Ma,interpreted as the timings of Fe and Mo mineralization,respectively.Six zircons from granodiorite also yield a 206Pb/238U model age cluster of184 Ma,which coincides reasonably with the timing of Pb–Zn–Cu mineralization and implies the existence of an unidentified ore-related intrusion in the Dapai deposit.Five further zircons from the porphyritic granodiorite yield an age cluster of-150 Ma,consistent with the timing of Fe mineralization.Galena,pyrite,and sphalerite from the Dapai and Makeng deposits have similar S–Pb isotopic compositions and suggest a magmatic source.Combining our results with published isotopic data for the SFDB,we suggest that the Pb–Zn–Cu minerali

The complexity of application environment stimulates the development of wearable devices based on functional hydrogels.Among all the promising performances,self-healing and self-adhesion properties are ideal for hydrogel sensors,which can guarantee good accuracy,comfort and long service life.However,it is still a challenge to achieve simultaneous self-healing and self-adhesion in different environments(in the air,underwater and at low temperatures).Herein,a feasible new strategy was successfully carried out to prepare a starch-based composite conductive organohydrogel based on the reversible borate ester bonds formed by complexing starch/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)/tea polyphenol(TP)with borax,and multiple hydrogen-bond interactions among PVA,starch,TP and ethylene glycol(EG).Silver nanoparticles(Ag-NPs),reduced and stabilized by TP,and MWCNTs(multi-walled carbon nanotubes)were introduced into the cross-linking networks to endow the resulting PBSTCE organohydrogel with considerable antibacterial property and conductivity,respectively.The organohydrogel possessed rapid self-healing(HE(self-healing efficiency)=96.07%in 90 s,both in the air and underwater,also at-20℃),considerable self-adhesion(both in the air and underwater,also at-20℃),remarkable stretchability(814%of elongation),anti-freezing(-20℃)and moisture-retention abilities,antibacterial activity,sensitive pH/sugar-responsiveness,and plasticity.The strain sensor formed by the PBSTCE organohydrogel can not only effectively record large-scale human motions(e.***.finger/wrist/elbow bending,walking,etc.),but also accurately capture subtle motion changes(e.***.breathing,chewing,swallowing,speaking,smiling and frowning).Moreover,the self-healed organohydrogel sensor also exhibited almost invariable mechanical,electrical and sensing behaviors.This work demonstrates a feasible strategy to construct multifunctional starch-based organohy-drogels,and promotes their efficient,stable and eco-friendly application as flexible wearable devices.

Harmony Search(HS)algorithm is highly effective in solving a wide range of real-world engineering optimization problems.However,it still has the problems such as being prone to local optima,low optimization accuracy,and low search efficiency.To address the limitations of the HS algorithm,a novel approach called the Dual-Memory Dynamic Search Harmony Search(DMDS-HS)algorithm is introduced.The main innovations of this algorithm are as follows:Firstly,a dual-memory structure is introduced to rank and hierarchically organize the harmonies in the harmony memory,creating an effective and selectable trust region to reduce approach blind searching.Furthermore,the trust region is dynamically adjusted to improve the convergence of the algorithm while maintaining its global search capability.Secondly,to boost the algorithm’s convergence speed,a phased dynamic convergence domain concept is introduced to strategically devise a global random search strategy.Lastly,the algorithm constructs an adaptive parameter adjustment strategy to adjust the usage probability of the algorithm’s search strategies,which aim to rationalize the abilities of exploration and exploitation of the algorithm.The results tested on the Computational Experiment Competition on 2017(CEC2017)test function set show that DMDS-HS outperforms the other nine HS algorithms and the other four state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of diversity,freedom from local optima,and solution accuracy.In addition,applying DMDS-HS to data clustering problems,the results show that it exhibits clustering performance that exceeds the other seven classical clustering algorithms,which verifies the effectiveness and reliability of DMDS-HS in solving complex data clustering problems.

Investigation of non-isothermal and isothermal gasification process of coal char using different kinetic model

Isothermal and non-isothermal gasification kinetics of coal char were investigated by using thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) in CO2 atmosphere, and the experimental data were interpreted with the aids of random pore model(RPM), unreacted shrinking core model(URCM) and volume model(VM). With the increase of heating rate, gasification curve moves into high temperature zone and peak rate of gasification increases; with the increase of gasification temperature, gasification rate increases and the total time of gasification is shortened. The increase of both heating rate and gasification temperature could improve gasification process of coal char. Kinetics analysis indicates that experimental data agree better with the RPM than with the other two models. The apparent activation energy of non-isothermal and isothermal gasification of coal char using RPM is 193.9 k J/mol and 212.6 k J/mol respectively, which are in accordance with reported data. Gasification process of coal char under different heating rates and different temperatures are predicted by the RPM derived in this study, and it is found that the RPM predicts the reaction process satisfactorily.

Prostate cancer(PCa)patients who progress to metastatic castration-resistant PCa(mCRPC)mostly have poor outcomes due to the lack of effective therapies.Our recent study established the orphan nuclear receptor RORγas a novel therapeutic target for CRPC.Here,we reveal that elaiophylin(Elai),an antibiotic from Actinomycete streptomyces,is a novel RORy antagonist and showed potent antitumor activity against CRPC in vitro and in vivo.We demonstrated that Elai selectively binded to RORy protein and potently blocked RORγtranscriptional regulation activities.Structure-activity relationship studies showed that Elai occupied the binding pocket with several key interactions.Furthermore,Elai markedly reduced the recruitment of RORγto its genomic DNA response element(RORE),suppressed the expression of RORγtarget genes AR and AR variants,and significantly inhibited PCa cell growth.Importantly,Elai strongly suppressed tumor growth in both cell line based and patient-derived PCa xenograft models.Taken together,these results suggest that Elai is novel therapeutic RORγinhibitor that can be used as a drug candidate for the treatment of human CRPC.
