Objective： To investigate the mechanism of resistance to docetaxel in human lung cancer. Methods： Human lung carcinoma SPC-A1/Docetaxel cells were derived from parental SPC-A1 cells by continuous exposure to increasing concentration of docetaxel. The drug sensitivity was measured by MTT assay in vitro. The cDNA microarray identified a set of differentially expressed genes, and some genes were confirmed by RT-PCR. P-glycoprotein level was measured by flow cytometry analysis. Results： The results of drug sensitivity measured by MTT assay showed that SPC-A1/Docetaxel cells were 13.2-fold resistant to docetaxel and cross-resistant at varying levels to other drugs. The cDNA microarray results identified a set of differentially expressed genes, which showed 428 genes that were up-regulated and 506 genes that were down-regulated in SPC-A1/Docetaxel ceils, and some genes were confirmed by RT-PCR. Flow cytometry analysis suggests expression of P-glycoprotein （P-gp） was more abundant in SPC-A1/Docetaxel cells than in the parental cells and docetaxel selection reduces the apoptotic response. Conclusion： The results suggest that docetaxel selection led to changes in gene expression that contribute to the multidrug resistance phenotype.

Due to the wide applications of arches in underground protective structures, dynamic analysis of circular arches including soil-structure interactions is important. In this paper, an exact solution of the forced vibration of circular arches subjected to subsurface denotation forces is obtained. The dynamic soil-structure interaction is considered with the introduction of an interfacial damping between the structure element and the surrounding soil into the equa- tion of motion. By neglecting the influences of shear, rotary inertia and tangential forces and assuming the arch incompressible, the equations of motion of the buried arches were set up. Analytical solutions of the dynamic responses of the protective arches were deduced by means of modal super- position. Arches with different opening angles, acoustic impedances and rise-span ratios were analyzed to discuss their influences on an arch. The theoretical analysis suggests blast loads for elastic designs and predicts the potential failure modes for buried protective arches.

AIM: To investigate the role of the duodenum in the regulation of plasma ghrelin levels and body mass index (BMI), and the correlation between them after subtotal gastrectomy. METHODS: Forty-two patients with T0-1N0-1M0 gastric cancer were divided into two groups after gastrectomy according to digestive reconstruction pattern, Billroth Ⅰ group (n = 23) and Billroth Ⅱ group (n = 19). Ghrelin levels were determined with radioimmunoassay (RIA) before and on d 1, 7, 30 and 360 after gastrectomy, and BMI was also measured. RESULTS: The two groups had identical postoperative trends in ghrelin alterations during the early stage, both decreasing sharply to a nadir on d 1 (36.7% vs 35.7%), then markedly increasing on d 7 (51.0% vs 51.1%). On d 30, ghrelin levels in the Billroth Ⅰ group were slightly higher than those in the Billroth Ⅱ group. However, those of the Billroth Ⅰ group recovered to 93.6% on d 360, which approached, although lower than, the preoperative levels, and no statistically significant difference was observed. Those of the Billroth Ⅱ group recovered to only 81.6% and manifested significant discrepancy with preoperative levels (P = 0.033). Compared with preoperative levels, ghrelin levels of the two groups decreased by 6.9% and 18.4% and BMI fellby 3.3% and 6.4%, respectively. The linear regression correlations were revealed in both groups between decrease of ghrelin level and BMI (R12 = 0.297, P = 0.007; R22 = 0.559, P < 0.001).CONCLUSION: Anatomically and physiologically, the duodenum compensatively promotes ghrelin recovery and accordingly enhances BMI after gastrectomy. Regarding patients with insufficient ghrelin secretion, ghrelin is positively associated with BMI.

Traffic sign detection is a crucial task for autonomous driving ***,the performance of deep learning-based algorithms for traffic sign detection is highly affected by the illumination conditions of *** existing algo-rithms demonstrate high accuracy in well-lit environments,they suffer from low accuracy in low-light *** paper proposes an end-to-end framework,LLTH-YOLOv5,specifically tailored for traffic sign detection in low-light scenarios,which enhances the input images to improve the detection *** proposed framework comproses two stages:the low-light enhancement stage and the object detection *** the low-light enhancement stage,a lightweight low-light enhancement network is designed,which uses multiple non-reference loss functions for parameter learning,and enhances the image by pixel-level adjustment of the input image with high-order *** the object detection stage,BIFPN is introduced to replace the PANet of YOLOv5,while designing a transformer-based detection head to improve the accuracy of small target ***,GhostDarkNet53 is utilized based on Ghost module to replace the backbone network of YOLOv5,thereby improving the real-time performance of the *** experimental results show that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of traffic sign detection in low-light scenarios,while satisfying the real-time requirements of autonomous driving.
