As a type of autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV),underwater gliders(UG)are getting increasing attention in ocean *** save energy and satisfy the mission requirements of a longer voyage,shape optimization for UGs has become a key technique and research *** this paper,a conventional UG,including its fuselage and hydrofoil,is optimized,which aims to decrease the average resistance in one motion *** operate the optimization progress for the complex object,multiple free form deformation(FFD)volumes are established for geometric ***-fidelity simulation models are employed for objective function evaluation and gradients *** sequential quadratic programming(SQP)method is adopted as an optimization *** optimization results show that there exists a UG with symmetrical and non-horizontal hydrofoils that has lower resistance.

Iron-based catalysts have been widely used to treat refractory organic pollutants in *** this paper,magnetic Co-γ-Fe_(2)O_(3)was synthesized by a facile tartaric acid-assisted hydrothermal method,and Co-γ-Fe_(2)O_(3)/MoS_(2) nanocomposite catalyst was obtained via in situ growth of MoS_(2) nanosheets on Co-γ-Fe_(2)O_(3)*** nanocomposite catalysts were used to decompose bisphenol A(BPA)by activating peroxymonosulfate(PMS).It was shown that only 0.15 g/L catalyst and 0.5 mmol/L PMS degraded 10 mg/L of BPA(99.3%within 10 min)in the pH range of 3–*** was activated due to redox cycling among the pairs Co(III)/Co(II),Fe(III)/Fe(II),and Mo(VI)/Mo(IV).Quenching experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy demonstrated that both radical and non-radical pathways were involved in BPA degradation,in which active radical sulfate radical and non-radical singlet oxygen were the main reactive oxygen *** intermediates were identified by liquid chromatography-coupled mass spectrometry,and three possible BPA degradation pathways were *** toxicity of several degradation intermediates was lower,and Co-γ-Fe_(2)O_(3)/MoS_(2) exhibited excellent reusability and could be magnetically recovered.

In this paper,we discuss the P-v criticality and the heat engine efficiency in the Bardeen EinsteinGauss-Bonnet(EGB)AdS black hole *** the P-v plane in the extended phase space,we find that the Bardeen EGB-AdS black hole conforms to Van der Waals(VdW)liquid-gas systems in the extended phase space,and Pcv/Tc=0.369 of the Bardeen EGB-AdS black hole system is between 0.3333 of the Gauss-Bonnet AdS black hole system and 0.375 of the VdW gas system in the *** we construct a heat engine by taking the Bardeen EGB-AdS black hole as the working substance,and consider a rectangle heat cycle in the P-v *** find that two cases with different Bardeen parameter e and Gauss-Bonnet parameter a both have the same situation,*** the entropy difference between small black hole and large black hole S2 increases,the heat engine efficiency will ***,as the Bardeen parameter e increases,the efficiency will ***,for the Gauss-Bonnet parameter a,the result is *** comparing with the well-know Carnot heat engine efficiency,we have found the efficiency ratioη/ηc versus entropy S2 is bounded below l,so it is coincided with the thermodynamical second law.

Erasure-Correction-Enhanced Iterative Decoding for LDPC-RS Product Codes

Low-density parity-check(LDPC)codes are widely used due to their significant errorcorrection capability and linear decoding ***,it is not sufficient for LDPC codes to satisfy the ultra low bit error rate(BER)requirement of next-generation ultra-high-speed communications due to the error floor *** to the residual error characteristics of LDPC codes,we consider using the high rate Reed-Solomon(RS)codes as the outer codes to construct LDPC-RS product codes to eliminate the error floor and propose the hybrid error-erasure-correction decoding algorithm for the outer code to exploit erasure-correction capability ***,the overall performance of product codes is improved using iteration between outer and inner *** results validate that BER of the product code with the proposed hybrid algorithm is lower than that of the product code with no erasure *** with other product codes using LDPC codes,the proposed LDPC-RS product code with the same code rate has much better performance and smaller rate loss attributed to the maximum distance separable(MDS)property and significant erasure-correction capability of RS codes.

Dam reservoirs in headwater catchments, as critical zones for their proximity to terrestrial sources, play important roles in dissolved organic carbon(DOC) cycling. However, the effects of ecosystem metabolism(EM) on DOC cycling are not well known. Here, in-situ diurnal and monthly observations were conducted to measure EM(including gross primary production(GPP), ecosystem respiration(ER) and heterotrophic respiration(HR)), DOC turnover and CO_(2)emissions in a headwater catchment reservoir in Southeastern China in 2020. Our study showed the nocturnal CO_(2)emission rate was about twice as high as in daytime, and was strongly driven by EM. The values for DOC turnover velocity ranged from 0.10 to 1.59 m/day,and the average DOC turnover rate was 0.13 day-1, with the average removal efficiency of 12%. The contribution of respired DOC to daily CO_(2)emissions ranged from 17% to 61%. The accumulated efficiencies were estimated to be 13% for the selected 15 reservoirs throughout the Changjiang River network, corresponding to about 0.34 Tg C/year of the respired *** modified CO_(2)flux was 0.75 Tg C/year, and respired DOC accounted for about 45% of total emitted CO_(2)from the 15 larger reservoirs. Our research emphasizes the necessity of incorporating the effects of EM into studies of reservoir DOC removal and COemissions.

Mesoscale eddies,which are mainly caused by baroclinic effects in the ocean,are common oceanic phenomena in the Northwest Pacific Ocean and play very important roles in ocean circulation,ocean dynamics and material energy *** temperature structure of mesoscale eddies will lead to variations in oceanic baroclinity,which can be reflected in the sea level anomaly(SLA).Deep learning can automatically extract different features of data at multiple levels without human intervention,and find the hidden relations of ***,combining satellite SLA data with deep learning is a good way to invert the temperature structure inside *** paper proposes a deep learning algorithm,eddy convolution neural network(ECN),which can train the relationship between mesoscale eddy temperature anomalies and sea level anomalies(SLAs),relying on the powerful feature extraction and learning abilities of convolutional neural *** obtaining the temperature structure model through ECN,according to climatic temperature data,the temperature structure of mesoscale eddies in the Northwest Pacific is retrieved with a spatial resolution of 0.25°at depths of 0–1000 *** overall accuracy of the ECN temperature structure is verified using Argo profiles at the locations of cyclonic and anticyclonic eddies during 2015–*** 10%error as the acceptable threshold of accuracy,89.64%and 87.25%of the cyclonic and anticyclonic eddy temperature structures obtained by ECN met the threshold,respectively.

BACKGROUND Major depressive disorder is a common mental disorder,characterized by a high rate of suicide and recurrence,which is frequently accompanied by cognitive impairments,particularly in executive function,memory,attention,and infor-mation processing *** such,improving the cognitive function in patients with depression and enhancing their quality of life are urgent *** To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of the effects of exercise on cognitive function in patients with *** The PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,Embase,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Medical,VIP,and Biomedical Databases for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)databases were searched(from inception to October 19,2023)for studies investigating improvements in cognitive function in patients with depression through *** recommended by the Cochrane Handbook for RCT evaluation,and GRADEpro and Stata17 software,were employed for risk of bias assessment,evidence grading,forest plot construction,subgroup and sensitivity analyses,and assessment of publication *** Seventeen RCTs(1173 patients with depression)were *** had a small but significant positive effect on attention,with an effect size of 0.21,95%CI:0.07-0.34,P<***,aerobic exercise regimens of 30-60 minute/session,thrice a week,at moderate intensity,and sustained over 3-12 weeks,were associated with the most pronounced benefits(P<0.05),with effect sizes for executive function,memory,and information processing speed of 0.11,95%CI:-0.11-0.32,P=0.34;0.08,95%CI:0.00-0.16,P=0.05;and 0.14,95%CI:0.04-0.25,P=0.01,*** evidence levels for attention,information processing speed,and memory were rated as'low,’whereas that for executive function was rated as'very low’.CONCLUSION Exercise could improve attention and information-processing speed in patients with depression,although improvements in executive function and memory are not significant.

Natural killer (NK) cells eliminate a large variety of tumor cells and abnormal cells. However, NK cells in the tumor microenvironment (TME) are often functionally depleted. A few subsets of NK cells even promote tumor growth. This study reviewed the biological properties of NK cells, the dynamic phenotypic changes of NK cells in the TME, and the communication between NK cells and other immune and nonimmune cells.
