Ten new cembrane-type diterpenoids,namely xishaglaucumins A—J(1—10),along with ten known related ones(11—20),have been isolated from the soft coral Sarcophyton glaucum collected off the Xisha Island in the South China *** structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis,quantum mechanical nuclear magnetic resonance(QM-NMR)methods,X-ray diffraction analysis,chemical methods and comparison with the reported data in the *** absolute configuration of new compounds 1,5 and known compounds 11,12,16 and 20 were determined either by chemical methods or by X-ray diffraction analysis using Cu Kα(λ=1.5417A).In in vitro bioassay,compound 4 exhibited inhibitory effects on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammatory responses in BV-2 microglial cells.

Plant invasions facilitated by suppression of root nutrient acquisition rather than by disruption of mycorrhizal association in the native plant

Invasive species have profound negative impacts on native *** the mechanisms employed by invasive plant species is crucial to controlling *** important approach that invasive plants use to outcompete native plants is to disrupt mutualistic interactions between native roots and mycorrhizal ***,it remains unclear how differences in the competitive ability of invasive plants affect native plant associations with ***,we examined how a native plant,Xanthium strumarium,responds to invasive plants that differed in competitive abilities(i.e.,as represented by aboveground plant biomass)by measuring changes in root nitrogen concentration(root nutrient acquisition)and mycorrhizal colonization *** found that both root nitrogen concentration and mycorrhizal colonization rate in the native plant were reduced by invasive *** change in mycorrhizal colonization rate of the native plant was negatively correlated with both aboveground plant biomass of the invasive plants and the change in aboveground plant biomass of the native plant in monocultures relative to mixed *** contrast,the change in root nitrogen concentration of the native plant was positively correlated with aboveground plant biomass of the invasive plants and the change in aboveground plant biomass of the native *** we compared the changes in mycorrhizal colonization rate and root nitrogen concentration in the native plant grown in monocultures with those of native plants grown with invasive plants,we observed a significant *** study shows that invasive plants can suppress native plants by reducing root nutrient acquisition rather than by disrupting symbiotic mycorrhizal associations,a novel finding likely attributable to a low dependence of the native plant on mycorrhizal fungi.

Hydrogen storage thermodynamics and kinetics of as-cast Ce-Mg-Ni-based alloy

The reaction kinetics of alloys based on magnesium are known to be greatly improved by the partial substitution of Mg with rare earths and transition metals,particularly *** enhanced superficial hydrogen dissociation rate,the weakened Mg-H bond and the lower activation energy following element replacement are thought to be related to the better *** experimental alloys Ce5Mg_(95-x)Ni_(x)(x=5,10,15)were smelted by the vacuum induction *** phase transformation and structural evolution of experimental alloys before and after reaction with hydrogen were char-acterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** cast specimens contain CeMg_(12),Mg and Mg_(2)Ni phases,and the increase in Ni content results in an obvious growth of Mg_(2)Ni *** isothermal and non-isothermal hydrogenation and dehydrogenation kinetics of the experimental specimens were investi-gated using the Sievert apparatus,differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric *** activation energy may be calculated using the Arrhenius and Kissinger *** experimental alloys have been shown to have good activation properties,with a reversible hydriding and dehydriding capacities of around 5.0 wt.%in the first *** initial dehydrogenation temperature of MgH_(2) decreases from 557.5 to 537.7 K with changing Ni content from 5 to 15 at.%.The dehydrogenation activation energy also reduces from 77.09 to 62.96 kJ/mol,which explains the improved hydrogen storage performance caused by Ni *** can be shown that the impact of Ni on the decomposition enthalpy of MgH_(2) is quite modest,with the absolute enthalpy(ΔHr)only decreasing from 78.48 to 76.15 kJ/mol.

The casing deformation prevention technology based on the optimization of cement slurry is proposed to reduce the casing deformation of shale oil and gas wells during hydraulic fracturing. In this paper, the fracture mechanism of hollow particles in cement sheath was firstly analyzed by discrete element method, and the effect of hollow particles in cement on casing deformation was investigated by laboratory experiment method. Finally, field test was carried out to verify the improvement effect of the casing deformation based on cement slurry modification. The results show that the formation displacement can be absorbed effectively by hollow particles inside the cement transferring the excessive deformation away from casing. The particles in the uncemented state provide deformation space during formation slipping. The casing with diameter of 139.7 mm could be passed through by bridge plug with the diameter of 99 mm when the mass ratio of particle/cement reaches 1:4. According to the field test feedback, the method based on optimization of cement slurry can effectively reduce the risk of casing deformation, and the recommended range of hollow microbeads content in the cement slurry is between 15% and 25%.

Direct methanol fuel cell technology recently becomes the focus of both academic and engineering circles,which stimulates the exploitation and utilization of advanced electrode catalysts with high activity and long ***,we demonstrate a robust bottom-up approach to the spatial construction of three-dimensional(3D) spinel manganese-cobalt oxide-modified N-doped graphene nanoarchitectures decorated with ultrasmall Pt nanoparticles(Pt/MnCo_(2)O_(4)-NG) via a controllable selfassembly *** incorporation of MnCo_(2)O_(4)nanocrystals provides abundant hydroxyl sources to promote the oxidative removal of CO-like byproducts on Pt sites,while the existence of 3D porous N-doped graphene networks facilitates the transportation of both ions and electrons in the hybrid system,thus giving rise to remarkable synergetic coupling effects during the methanol oxidation ***,the optimized Pt/MnCo_(2)O_(4)-NG nano architecture expres ses exceptional electrocatalytic properties with a large electrochemically active surface area of 99.5 m^(2)·g^(-1),a high mass activity of1508.3 mA·mg^(-1),strong toxicity resistance and reliable long-term durability,which have obvious competitive advantages over those of conventional Pt/carbon black,Pt/carbon nano tube,Pt/graphene,and Pt/N-doped graphene catalysts with the same Pt usage.

Synthesis and characterization of miktoarm star copolymer of styrene and butadiene using multifunctional macromolecular initiator

A new kind of multifunctional macromolecular initiator with Sn-C bonds and polydiene arms was synthesized by living anionic polymerization. At first, polydiene-stannum chloride （PD-SnCl3） was prepared by the reaction of n-butyl-Li （n-BuLi）, stannic chloride （SnCl4） and diene. Then PD-SnCl3 was used to react with the dilithium initiator to prepare the multifunctional organic macromolecular initiators. The result suggested that the initiators had a remarkable yield by GPC, nearly 90%. By using these multifunctional macromolecular initiators, styrene and butadiene were effectively polymefized via anionic polymerization, which gave birth to novel miktoarm star copolymers. The relative molecular weight and polydispersity index, microstructure contents, copolymerization components, glass transition temperature （Tg） and morphology of the miktoarm star copolymers were investigated by GPC-UV, ~H NMR, DSC and TEM, respectively. 2009 Xing Ying zhang. This paper is to look for bi-Frobenius algebra structures on quantum complete intersections over field *** find a class of comultiplications,such that if√−1∈k,then a quantum complete intersection becomes a bi-Frobenius algebra with comultiplication of this form if and only if all the parameters qij=±***,it is proved that if√−1∈k then a quantum exterior algebra in two variables admits a bi-Frobenius algebra structure if and only if the parameter q=±√*** if−1/∈k,then the exterior algebra with two variables admits no bi-Frobenius algebra *** prove that the quantum complete intersections admit a bialgebra structure if and only if it admits a Hopf algebra structure,if and only if it is commutative,the characteristic of k is a prime p,and every ai a power of *** also provides a large class of examples of bi-Frobenius algebras which are not bialgebras(and hence not Hopf algebras).In commutative case,other two comultiplications on complete intersection rings are given,such that they admit non-isomorphic bi-Frobenius algebra structures.
