Transportation and sealing pattern of the temporary plugging ball at the spiral perforation in the horizontal well section

Multistage fracturing of horizontal wells is a critical technology for unconventional oil and gas reservoir stimulation. Ball-throwing temporary plugging fracturing is a new method for realizing uniform fracturing along horizontal wells and plays an important role in increasing oil and gas production. However,the transportation and sealing law of temporary plugging balls(TPBs) in the perforation section of horizontal wells is still unclear. Using COMSOL computational fluid dynamics and a particle tracking module, we simulate the transportation process of TPBs in a horizontal wellbore and analyse the effects of the ball density, ball diameter, ball number, fracturing fluid injection rate, and viscosity on the plugging efficiency of TPB transportation. This study reveals that when the density of TPBs is close to that of the fracturing fluid and a moderate diameter of the TPB is used, the plugging efficiency can be substantially enhanced. The plugging efficiency is greater when the TPB number is close to twice the number of perforations and is lower when the number of TPBs is three times the number of *** the fracturing fluid injection rate from low to high can control the position of the TPBs,improving plugging efficiency. As the viscosity of the fracturing fluid increases, the plugging efficiency of the perforations decreases near the borehole heel and increases near the borehole toe. In contrast, the plugging efficiency of the central perforation is almost unaffected by the fracturing fluid viscosity. This study can serve as a valuable reference for establishing the parameters for temporary plugging and fracturing.

Patients infected through commercial bloodselling practices(former plasma donors,FPDs)in China represent a unique patient population compared to individuals infected through sexual contact or intravenous drug *** all have an approximate time of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infection during the *** studies about the natural history of HIV infection in these patients were *** current study focuses on characterizing the duration of asymptomatic infection as well as the time to disease and mortality of infected FPDs in China.A retrospective cohort study was conducted based on data collected from 5484 HIV-1 infected FPDs in Shangcai county,Henan ***-Meier analysis was applied to estimate the asymptomatic duration from the time of infection to the onset of AIDS as well as the survival period from the onset of AIDS to the time of *** estimated median asymptomatic phase was about 9.21 years,which is similar to that reported in other developing countries in *** estimated median life span after the onset of symptoms was about 9.91 months,which is notably shorter than life spans reported *** is the first large-scale retrospective study on the natural history of HIV infection in FPDs in rural *** findings not only provide valuable insight into an understudied population,but should also serve as an important reference for patient management and care.

Background:human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)prevalence among student men who have sex with men(MSM)in college is more than 5.0%and keeps on increasing in *** study aims to clarify the proportion of HIV recent infection,its propeller and the source among college student ***:We conducted a multicenter cross-sectional study in seven major Chinese cities during *** recent infections(≤168 days)and incidence was measured and estimated by BED HIV-1 capture enzyme immunoassay(BED-CEIA)testing ***-related behaviors and transmitted drug resistance(TDR)were investigated and compared between the college student MSM,<25-year-old non-student youth MSM(NSYM),and≥25-year-old non-student non-youth MSM(NSNYM),using structured survey,and analyses of drug ***:Overall,4496(4496/4526,99.3%)were eligible for enrollment,comprising 565 college student MSM,1094 NSYM,and 2837 *** proportion of HIV recent infection were 70.3%(26/37),50.8%(65/128)and 35.1%(95/271),the HIV incidence rate were 10.0(95%CI:6.2-13.9)/100 person-year(PY),12.9(95%CI:9.8-16.1)/100PY,6.8(95%CI:5.4-8.2)/100 PY,and TDR prevalences were 7.4%(2/27),2.0%,(2/98)and 4.9%(11/226),among student MSM,NSYM,and NSNYM,*** HIV positive student MSM with age<21 years,the proportion of HIV recent infection is 90.9%(10/11).Factors independently associated with HIV recent infection in student MSM was usage of recreational drug in the past 6 months(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]:2.5;95%CI:1.0-5.8).Conclusions:College student MSM had higher proportion of HIV recent infection and TDR than the youth and older MSM in China during *** HIV infections were more likely to happen during the early year of college life among student MSM.

Background:Recent upsurge of new HIV infections among men who have sex with men(MSM)is a major concern in *** of national-level information regarding the burden and predictors of this progressive epidemic of new infections called for a multi-centric,timely and comprehensive ***:Mixed methods were used to recruit MSM from seven cities in China between 2012 and *** and established HIV infections were estimated by Western Blot and BED HIV-1 capture enzyme *** and herpes simplex virus-2(HSV-2)were also ***:A total of 4496 eligible MSM were *** majority was aged≤35 years(77.5%),migrants(60.3%),never married(69.8%),and played receptive role in anal sex(70.5%).The HIV prevalence was 9.9%,and 41.9%were recently infected,with sensitivity/specificity adjusted HIV incidence of 8.9(95%CI:7.6-10.2)/100 *** prevalence of history HSV-2 and syphilis were 12.5%and 8.5%,*** HIV infection was associated with having multiple male partners(aOR=1.4,95%CI 1.1-1.9),recreational drug use(aOR=2.2,95%CI 1.6-3.0),anal bleeding(aOR=2.1,95%CI 1.4-3.0),syphilis infection(aOR=2.8,95%CI 1.9-4.3)and history HSV-2 infection(aOR=2.3,95%CI 1.5-3.3).Conclusion:High rate of recent HIV infection is potentially resulting in progressive deterioration of the overall HIV epidemic among MSM in *** interventions to address high-risk MSM including those having multiple partners,history of recreational drug use and syphilis or HSV-2 infection seemed to be the need of the hour.

In the past 37 years,human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS)has undergone various major transmission routes in China,with the world most complex co-circulating HIV-1 subtypes,even the prevalence is still *** response to the first epidemic outbreak of HIV in injecting drug users and the second one by illegal commercial blood collection,China issued the Anti-Drug Law and launched the Blood Donation Act and nationwide nucleic acid testing,which has avoided 98,232 to 211,200 estimated infections and almost ended the blood product-related *** has been providing free antiretroviral therapy(ART)since 2003,which covered>80%of the identified patients and achieved a viral suppression rate of 91%.To bend the curve of increasing the disease burden of HIV and finally end the epidemic,China should consider constraining HIV spread through sexual transmission,narrowing the gaps in identifying HIV cases,and the long-term effectiveness and safety of ART in the future.

Separation of the ionospheric and thermospheric contributions in the data from the Triple Ionosophere Photo Meter onboard the Feng-Yun 3E satellite

The Triple Ionosphere Photo Meter （TRIPM） is a far ultraviolet nadir-view photometer that is onboard the secondgeneration,polar-orbiting Chinese meteorological satellite Feng-Yun 3E （FY-3E）,which was launched on July 5,*** has three channels,and each is used to measure different types of emissions:（1） 135.6 nm airglow produced by the recombination of the O+ions and electrons in the absence of sunlight （nighttime channel）;（2） 135.6 nm airglow from the OI when sunlight is present （daytime/dusk-dawn 135.6 nm channel）;and （3） Airglow in the N2LBH of the TRIPM （daytime/dusk-dawn N2LBH channel）.FY-3E is a satellite operating in the early morning ***,the data are mostly distributed on the dawndusk side or at times when the solar zenith angle is relatively *** this study,combined with simulation calculations,the data are *** further explore the application value of the data products,a model is used to separate the ionospheric radiative recombination contribution from the thermosphere photoelectron impact excitation contribution in the data from the daytime/dusk-dawn 135.6 nm *** approach not only improves the accuracy of O/N2derived from the 135.6 nm channel and N2LBH channel but also provides the ionospheric 135.6 nm radiance at the same time as the *** results show that the 135.6 nm radiance originating from the combination of O+and electrons extracted from the measurement data exhibits similar equatorial anomaly peak structure characteristics and seasonal variations as the corresponding GPS total electron content （TEC） *** the other hand,the separated 135.6 nm radiance generated from the thermosphere photoelectron collision excitation does not contain radiative recombination contributions;thus,the ionosphere influence is greatly avoided when the O/N2is obtained.
