Determination of spices in food samples by ionic liquid aqueous solution extraction and ion chromatography

In the present work, a novel method to extract three kinds of spices, namely vanillin, ethyl vanillin and ethyl maltol from food products such as biscuit, chocolate and milk powder was developed. 1-Octyl-3- methylimidazolium chloride （[Omim]Cl） aqueous solution was selected as the extracting medium. A 0.5 g powder of food product was extracted by 5.0 mL of [Omim]Cl aqueous solution （0.3 mol/L, pH 6.0） under ultrasonication at 50 ℃, and then the extract was centrifuged for 10 min at 4000 rpm. The extract was filtered through a syringe filter and injected into ion chromatography system for analysis. The separation of the three spices was carried out on an anion exchange column. The detection wavelength was set at 280 nm. Compared with traditional extraction solvents, [Omim]Cl aqueous solution displayed particular advantages. The applicability of the proposed method to real sample was confirmed. Under the optimal conditions, good reproducibility of extraction performance was obtained, with the relative standard deviation （RSD） values ranging from 1.9% to 6.3%. The recoveries of spiked samples were between ？9.8% and 95.8%. The detection limits （LOD, SIN = 3） of vanillin, ethyl vanillin and ethyl maltol were in the range of 20-45 μg/kg. The use of ionic liquid aqueous solution as extraction solvent was operationally easy and environmental-friendly.

We systematically studied the evaporation residue cross sections of ^(48)Ca-induced reactions on lanthanide and actinide target nuclei under the Dinuclear System(DNS)model framework to check the reliability and applicability of the *** produce new proton-rich Fl and Lv isotopes through hot fusion reactions in the superheavy element region with Z≥104,we utilized the reactions ^(48)Ca+^(236,238,239) Pu and ^(48)Ca+^(242,243,244,250) ***,owing to the detection limit of available equipment(0.1 pb),only 283Fl and 287−289Lv,which have the maximum evaporation residue cross section values of 0.149,0.130,9.522,and 0.309 pb,respectively,can be ***,to produce neutron-deficient isotopes of actinides near the proton drip line with Z=93−100,we attempted to generate the new isotopes(224−227Pu,228−232,237Cm)using the reactions ^(48)Ca+180,182,183 W and ^(48)Ca+^(184,186,187,192) *** maximum evaporation residue cross section values are 0.07,0.06,0.26,and 0.30 nb for the former set of reactions,and 1.96 pb,5.73 pb,12.16 pb,19.39 pb,54.79 pb,and 6.45 nb for the latter,*** results are expected to provide new information for the future synthesis of unknown neutron-deficient isotopes.

When investigating the vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of marine risers,extrapolating the dynamic response on the entire length based on limited sensor measurements is a crucial step in both laboratory experiments and fatigue monitoring of real *** problem is conventionally solved using the modal decomposition method,based on the principle that the response can be approximated by a weighted sum of limited vibration ***,the method is not valid when the problem is underdetermined,i.e.,the number of unknown mode weights is more than the number of known *** study proposed a sparse modal decomposition method based on the compressed sensing theory and the Compressive Sampling Matching Pursuit(Co Sa MP)algorithm,exploiting the sparsity of VIV in the modal *** the validation study based on high-order VIV experiment data,the proposed method successfully reconstructed the response using only seven acceleration measurements when the conventional methods failed.A primary advantage of the proposed method is that it offers a completely data-driven approach for the underdetermined VIV reconstruction problem,which is more favorable than existing model-dependent solutions for many practical applications such as riser structural health monitoring.

The design of universal segments and deviation control of segment assembly are essential for robust and low-risk tunnel construction.A building information modeling(BIM)-based framework was proposed for parametric modeling,automatic assembly,and deviation control of universal ***,segment models of different levels of detail(LoDs)were built based on BIM visual programming language(VPL)for different project life ***,the geometric constraints,requirements,and procedures for parametric segment assembly were distilled to develop a program that combines a novel typesetting algorithm with a 3D path replanning *** is implemented by introducing a point indication matrix,characterizing segments by sides,and manipulating geometries in a ***,3D path replanning,with non-uniform rational B-splines(NURBS)and arcs as basic shapes,was used to resolve unacceptable deviation situations after ***,the proposed framework was validated on a water diversion line and was found to be more effective and accurate than the previous method.

Synergic catalytic effect between active sites and supports greatly determines the catalytic activity for the aerobic oxidative desulfurization of fuel *** this work,Ni-doped Co-based bimetallic metal-organic framework(CoNi-MOF)is fabricated to disperse N-hydroxyphthalimide(NHPI),in which the whole catalyst provides plentiful synergic catalytic effect to improve the performance of oxidative desulfurization(ODS).As a bimetallic MOF,the second metal Ni doping results in the flower-like morphology and the modification of electronic properties,which ensure the exposure of NHPI and strengthen the synergistic effect of the overall *** with the monometallic Co-MOF and naked NHPI,the NHPI@CoNi-MOF triggers the efficient activation of molecular oxygen and improves the ODS performance without an *** sulfur removal of dibenzothiophene-based model oil reaches 96.4%over the NHPI@CoNi-MOF catalyst in 8 h of ***,the catalytic product of this aerobic ODS reaction is sulfone,which is adsorbed on the catalyst surface due to the difference in *** work provides new insight and strategy for the design of a strong synergic catalytic effect between NHPI and bimetallic supports toward high-activity aerobic ODS materials.

As global temperature rises,the frequency of extreme climate events,e.g.,severe droughts and floods,has increased significantly and caused severe damage over the past *** this regard,precipitation efficiency,a crucial meteorological parameter,could provide valuable insights for a better understanding of the patterns and characteristics of these extreme *** this study,taking Guangdong province as an exemplary region,we first obtained long-term and high-resolution historical records of precipitation efficiency by integrating the observations from a dense network of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)stations with precipitation data,and then characterized the extreme drought and wetness through climate *** found a distinct seasonal trend in precipitation efficiency in Guangdong,with annual fluctuations ranging from 10 to 25%.Notably,precipitation efficiency is higher in proximity to the Pearl River Delta Plain and gradually decreases towards the east and *** occurrence of anomalous peaks and valleys in precipitation efficiency generally corresponds to dry and wet conditions,respectively.A total of 9 extreme wet events and 6 dry events occurred from January 2007 to May 2022,with durations from 3 to 6 *** results also demonstrated that both wet and dry frequencies exhibit an increasing trend with the expansion of the time scale,and the frequency of extreme events near the Pearl River Delta Plain surpasses that of other ***,the propagation time from meteorological anomalies to agricultural and hydrological anomalies is about 3 *** periodic characteristics of meteorological anomalies are identified as the primary driver for other anomalous periodic *** work unveils the long-term dynamic behavior of precipitation efficiency,as well as the characteristics of extreme drought and wetness events in the regions characterized by intricate land–atmosphere interactions.

Satisfying various terminal constraints and achieving evasive flight in no-flying-zones (NFZs) are two important flight missions undertaken by high velocity vehicles. We studied an intelligent maneuvering guidance strategy using deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methods to achieve the coordination and unification of evasive flight and multi-constrained guidance with minimal energy loss.

With the continuing boost in the demand for energy storage,there is an increasing requirement for batteries to be capable of operation in extreme environmental ***-ion batteries(SIBs) have emerged as a highly promising energy storage solution due to their promising performance over a wide range of temperatures and the abundance of sodium resources in the earth's *** to lithiumion batteries(LIBs),although sodium ions possess a larger ionic radius,they are more easily desolvated than lithium *** rthermore,SIBs have a smaller Stokes radius than lithium ions,resulting in improved sodium-ion mobility in the ***,SIBs demonstrate a significant decrease in performance at low temperatures(LT),which constrains their operation in harsh weather *** the increasing interest in SIBs,there is a notable scarcity of research focusing specifically on their mechanism under LT *** review explores recent research that considers the thermal tolerance of SIBs from an inner chemistry process perspective,spanning a wide temperature spectrum(-70 to100℃),particularly at LT *** addition,the enhancement of electrochemical performance in LT SIBs is based on improvements in reaction kinetics and cycling stability achieved through the utilization of effective electrode materials and electrolyte ***,the safety concerns associated with SIBs are addressed and effective strategies are proposed for mitigating these ***,prospects conducted to extend the environmental frontiers of commercial SIBs are discussed mainly from three viewpoints including innovations in materials,development and research of relevant theoretical mechanisms,and intelligent safety management system establishment for larger-scale energy storage SIBs.
