Dear Editor,We present a case of dacryocystitis and canaliculitis secondary to residual of epidural catheter remaining in lacrimal duct for 25y.A 56-year-old male patient was admitted to our medical center on February 16,*** obtained the written informed consent from the patient,and this case study was in accordance with the tenets of the Declaration of *** main complaint was that the right eye had suffered from persistent tears for more than 25y and discharge for more than 1y.

A novel organic chromophore 4, 4＇-bis（9-carbazyl-trans-styryl）-biphenyl （BCSBP） has been synthesized and characterized by IHNMR and elemental analysis. Three-photon absorption（3PA） induced upconvention fluorescence was observed and large 3PA cross section as high as 10^-74 cm^6 s^2 was obtained for nanosecond laser pulses at 1064 nm from optical limiting measurements.

The flowshop scheduling problem with fuzzy processing times is concerned in this paper. A triangular fuzzy number is used to represent the uncertainty processing times of jobs. The due windows have been assigned to all jobs. If a job is completed within its due window, then it incurs no scheduling cost. Otherwise, an earliness or tardiness cost is incurred. The objective is to find a job schedule such that the weighted sum of earliness and tardiness penalties of jobs is minimized. Schedules are generated by a proposed hybrid algorithm in the context of quantum evolutionary algorithm and particle swarm optimization approach. Three novel coding schemes are designed for transforming an individual into a sequence of jobs. Furthermore, a velocity disturbance strategy is also introduced into the proposed algorithm to improve the diversity of the swarm. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is able to obtain higher quality solutions stably and efficiently in the fuzzy flowshop scheduling problem.

A sparse representation method for image-based surface defect detection

In this paper, an efficient sparse representation-based method is presented for detecting surface defects. The proposed method uses the sparse degree of coefficient in the redundant dictionary for checking whether the test image is defective or not, and the binary representation of the defective images is obtained, according to the global coefficient feature. Owing to the requirements for the efficiency and detecting quality, the block proximal gradient operator is introduced to speed up the online dictionary learning. Considering the correlation among the testing samples, prior knowledge is applied in the orthogonal-matching-pursuit sparse representation algorithm to improve the speed of sparse coding. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed detection method can effectively detect and extract the defects of the surface images, and has broad applicability.

Three novel nonlinear chromophores with symmetric D-π-D molecular structure and extended conjugated length were synthesized. Solvatochromism analysis shows great symmetric intramolecular charge transfer occurring in chromophores by the enhancement in the dipole moment between the ground and excited states. The properties of optical power limiting induced by three-photon absorption （3PA） are demonstrated. Large 3PA coefficients and the corresponding molecular cross sections as high as 10^-74 cm^6s^2 were obtained for nanosecond laser pulses at 1.06μm from nonlinear transmission measurements.

Based on existing algorithms, a newly developed contact search algorithm is proposed. The new algorithm consists of global search, local searching, local tracking and penetration calculation processes. It requires no iteration steps. It can deal with not only general tool surfaces with vertical walls, but also tool surfaces meshed with elements having very poor aspect ratios. It is demonstrated that the FE code employing this new contact search algorithm becomes more reliable, efficient and accurate for sheet metal forming simulation than conventional ones.

Double Slag Operation Dephosphorization in BOF for Producing Low Phosphorus Steel

A study on the production of low phosphorus steel by double slag operation in 210 t converter was carried out. A phosphorus content of less than 0.005% （mass percent） was obtained before tapping. About 80% phosphorus could be removed by the first slag after 5 min. High Fe^3＋ content and high basicity in the first slag were in favor of dephosphorization. On the other hand,Fe3＋ content had less effect on dephosphorization during second slag treatment. In the second slag period,the fraction of dephosphorization increased with the increase of basicity up to a basicity of 6. Further increase of basicity of the second slag had very little effect on dephosphorization. The tapping temperature had great impact on dephosphorization. It was impossible to get phosphorus less that 0.005% when the tapping temperature was higher than 1 943 K. The optimum operation conditions were suggested. On the basis of these conditions,the amount of the second slag and the effect of the remaining first slag were estimated.
