engineering nanomedicines for immunogenic eradication of cancer cells:Recent trends and synergistic approaches

Resistance to cancer immunotherapy is mainly attributed to poor tumor immunogenicity as well as the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(Tme)leading to failure of immune *** therapeutic strategies including chemotherapy,radiotherapy,photodynamic,photothermal,magnetic,chemodynamic,sonodynamic and oncolytic therapy,have been developed to induce immunogenic cell death(ICd)of cancer cells and thereby elicit immunogenicity and boost the antitumor immune ***,many challenges hamper the clinical application of ICd inducers resulting in modest immunogenic ***,we outline the current state of using nanomedicines for boosting ICd of cancer ***,synergistic approaches used in combination with ICd inducing nanomedicines for remodeling the Tme via targeting immune checkpoints,phagocytosis,macrophage polarization,tumor hypoxia,autophagy and stromal modulation to enhance immunogenicity of dying cancer cells were *** further highlight the emerging trends of using nanomaterials for triggering amplified ICd-mediated antitumor immune *** reticulum localized ICd,focused ultrasound hyperthermia,cell membrane camouflaged nanomedicines,amplified reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,metallo-immunotherapy,ion modulators and engineered bacteria are among the most innovative *** challenges,merits and demerits of ICd inducer nanomedicines were also discussed with shedding light on the future role of this technology in improving the outcomes of cancer immunotherapy.

基三众核架构中基于同步哈密顿环的无死锁策略

确保片上网络（network-on-chip，NoC）中的数据传输无死锁，是NoC为多处理器片上系统（multi-processor system-on-chip，mPSoC）提供可靠通信服务的前提，决定了NoC甚至mPSoC的可用性.现有的通用防死锁策略难以发挥出特定拓扑结构自身特点和优势，甚至可能会增加网络延迟、功耗以及硬件复杂性.另外，由于路由级和协议级死锁存在显著差异，现有无死锁方案较难同时解决这2类死锁问题，影响了mPSoC的可靠性.利用基三众核架构（Triplet-based many-core architecture，TriBA）中拓扑结构自身具有的哈密顿特性提出了基于同步哈密顿环的无死锁策略，该策略依据拓扑结构自身的对称轴和哈密顿边对数据传输进行分类，预防了协议级死锁并提高了数据传输速度；同时使用循环链表技术判断同一缓冲区内数据同步传输方向，消除了路由级死锁并降低了数据传输延迟.在优化前瞻路由算法基础上，设计了基于同步哈密顿环的无死锁路由机制（Hamiltonian shortest path routing，HamSPR）.Gem5仿真结果表明，与TriBA现有方法相比，HamSPR在合成流量下的平均数据包延迟和功耗分别降低了18.78% ～ 65.40% 和6.94% ～ 34.15%，吞吐量提高了8.00% ～ 59.17%；在PARSeC测试集下的应用运行时间和平均数据包延迟分别最高实现了16.51%和42.75%的降低.与2d-mesh架构相比，TriBA在PARSeC测试集下的应用性能实现了1% ～ 10%的提升.

Simulation of a molten salt fast reactor using the COmSOL multiphysics software

In this study,COmSOL v5.2 multiphysics software was utilized to perform coupled neutronics and thermal–hydraulics simulations of a molten salt fast reactor,and the SCALe v6.1 code package was utilized to generate the homogenized cross-section data *** library’s 238 cross-section groups were categorized into nine groups for the simulations in this *** results of the COmSOL model under no fuel flow conditions were verified using the SCALe v6.1 code results,and the results of the neutronics and thermal–hydraulics simulations were compared to the results of previously published *** results indicated that the COmSOL model that includes the cross-section library generated by the SCALe v6.1 code package is suitable for the steady-state analysis and design assessment of molten salt fast ***,this model was utilized to investigate the neutronics and thermal–hydraulics behaviors of the *** designs were simulated and analyzed in this model,and the results indicated that even if the wall of the core is curved,hot spots occur in the upper and lower portions of the core’s center near the reflectors.A new design was proposed that utilizes a flow rate distribution system,and the simulation results of this design showed that the maximum temperature in the core was approximately 1032 K and no hot spots occurred.

For military warfare purposes,it is necessary to identify the type of a certain weapon through video stream tracking based on infrared(IR)video *** vision is a visual search trend that is used to identify objects in images or video *** military applications,drones take a main role in surveillance tasks,but they cannot be confident for longtime ***,there is a need for such a system,which provides a continuous surveillance task to support the drone *** a system can be called a Hybrid Surveillance System(HSS).This system is based on a distributed network of wireless sensors for continuous *** addition,it includes one or more drones to make short-time missions,if the sensors detect a suspicious *** paper presents a digital solution to identify certain types of concealed weapons in surveillance applications based on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)and Convolutional Long Short-Term memory(ConvLSTm).Based on initial results,the importance of video frame enhancement is obvious to improve the visibility of objects in video *** accuracy of the proposed methods reach 99%,which reflects the effectiveness of the presented *** addition,the experimental results prove that the proposed methods provide superior performance compared to traditional ones.

Image fusion has become one of the interesting fields that attract researchers to integrate information from different image *** is involved in several *** of the recent applications is the robotic *** application necessitates image enhancement of both infrared(IR)and visible *** paper presents a Robot Human Interaction System(RHIS)based on image fusion and deep *** basic objective of this system is to fuse visual and IR images for efficient feature extraction from the captured ***,an enhancement model is carried out on the fused image to increase its *** image enhancement models such as fuzzy logic,Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and residual network(ResNet)pre-trained model are utilized on the fusion results and they are compared with each other and with the state-of-the-art *** results prove that the fuzzy logic enhancement gives the best results from the image quality ***,the proposed system can be considered as an efficient solution for the robotic vision problem with multi-modality images.

Fano Factor in Strained Graphene Nanoribbon Nanodevices

We investigate the Fano factor in a strained armchair and zigzag graphene nanoribbon nanodevice under the effect of ac field in a wide range of frequencies at different temperatures （10？K–70？K）. This nanodevice is modeled as follows： a graphene nanoribbon is connected to two metallic leads. These two metallic leads operate as a source and a drain. The conducting substance is the gate electrode in this three-terminal nanodevice. Another metallic gate is used to govern the electrostatics and the switching of the graphene nanoribbon channel. The substances at the graphene nanoribbon/metal contact are controlled by the back gate. The photon-assisted tunneling probability is deduced by solving the dirac eigenvalue differential equation in which the Fano factor is expressed in terms of this tunneling probability. The results show that for the investigated nanodevice, the Fano factor decreases as the frequency of the induced ac field increases, while it increases as the temperature increases. In general, the Fano factors for both strained armchair and zigzag graphene nanoribbons are different. This is due to the effect of the uniaxial strain. It is shown that the band structure parameters of graphene nanoribbons at the energy gap, the C–C bond length, the hopping integral, the Fermi energy and the width are modulated by uniaxial strain. This research gives us a promise of the present nanodevice being used for digital nanoelectronics and sensors.

Cancelable biometrics are required in most remote access applications that need an authentication stage such as the cloud and Internet of Things(IoT)*** objective of using cancelable biometrics is to save the original ones from hacking attempts.A generalized algorithm to generate cancelable templates that is applicable on both single and multiple biometrics is proposed in this paper to be considered for cloud and IoT *** original biometric is blurred with two co-prime ***,it can be recovered as the Greatest Common divisor(GCd)between its two blurred *** changes if induced in the biometric image prior to processing with co-prime operators prevents the recovery of the original biometric image through a GCd ***,the ability to change cancelable templates is guaranteed,since the owner of the biometric can pre-determine and manage the minimal change induced in the biometric ***,we test the utility of the proposed algorithm in the single-and multi-biometric *** multi-biometric scenario depends on compressing face,fingerprint,iris,and palm print images,simultaneously,to generate the cancelable *** metrics such as equal error Rate(eeR)and Area and Receiver Operator Characteristic curve(AROC)are *** results on single-and multi-biometric scenarios show high AROC values up to 99.59%,and low eeR values down to 0.04%.

Lindane degradation and effects on Soil microbial Activity

The degradation of U-14C-lindane in two egyptian soils was determined in a three-month laboratory incubation. Lindane mineralization was slow and limited in both soils. evolution of 14CO2 increased with time but only reached 3. 5 to 5. 5 % of the initial 14C-concentration within 90 days. At that time both soils contained about 88 % of the applied radiocarbon; 33 % to 37% of the initial dose was unextractable and assumed bound to the soils. The methanol-ex-tractable 14C primarily contained lindane with traces of minor metabolites. Radiorespirometry was used to eva1uate the effect of lindane on soil microbial activity. Low concentrations of the insecticide initially supressed 14CO2 evolution from U-14C-glucose and microbial activity was significantly inhibited by 10 mg lindane/kg soil.

Quaternion algebra has been used to apply the fractional Fourier transform(FrFT)to color images in a comprehensive ***,the discrete fractional random transform(dFRNT)with adequate basic randomness remains to be *** paper presents a novel multistage privacy system for color medical images based on discrete quaternion fractional Fourier transform(dQFrFT)watermarking and three-dimensional chaotic logistic map(3d-CLm)***,we describe quaternion dFRNT(QdFRNT),which generalizes dFRNT to handle quaternion signals effectively,and then use QdFRNT to perform color medical image adaptive *** efficiently evaluate QdFRNT,this study derives the relationship between the QdFRNT of a quaternion signal and the four components of the dFRNT ***,it uses the human vision system's(HVS)masking qualities of edge,texture,and color tone immediately from the color host image to adaptively modify the watermark strength for each block in the color medical image using the QdFRNT-based adaptive watermarking and support vector machine(SVm)*** limitations of watermark embedding are also explained to conserve watermarking ***,3d-CLm encryption is employed to improve the system's security and efficiency,allowing it to be used as a multistage privacy *** proposed security system is effective against many types of channel noise attacks,according to simulation results.
