Estimation of infiltration models parameters and their comparison to simulate the onsite soil infiltration characteristics

Detailed knowledge about soil characteristics and site-specific final steady infiltration rate could help to increase the irrigation water use efficiency and decrease water losses in agricultural *** experiments were conducted on Agricultural Research Farm of Bahauddin Zakariya University,Multan,Pakistan during *** cumulative infiltration depth was measured using double ring infiltrometer at selected six points of the study *** commonly used infiltration models such as Kostikov’s,Philip’s and Horton’s were fitted to the field infiltration data for determination of model parameters and to find the best fit model for the study ***’s infiltration model’s parameters such as empirical constant‘c’and infiltration decay constants‘k’were obtained in the ranges of 0.140-0.290 and 0.307-0.433,***’s infiltration model’s parameters such as sorptivity‘S’and conductivity constant‘A’were found in the ranges of 0.167-0.288 cm/min1/2 and-0.001 to-0.009 cm/min,***,the Horton’s model’s‘parameter‘k’was obtained in the range of-1.619 *** value of infiltration capacity at onset of infiltration(fo)was obtained as 1.744 to 3.491 for all the six *** analysis showed that the infiltration models using the estimated parameters have satisfactory prediction capability at all the selected ***’s model provided the lowest mean values for RMSE(0.235)and highest mean values for ME(94%);and the lowest mean values for MPD(0.127).This indicated that infiltration can be well-described by the Horton’s model at the selected site.

Spinel ferrites exhibit exceptional magnetic properties,making them a distinctive class of magnetic *** sol-gel technique was utilized for the synthesis of spinel ferrites with the chemical formula Co_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4). The lack of modern technology in healthcare has led to the death of thousands of lives worldwide due to COVID-19 since its *** Internet of Things(IoT)along with other technologies like Machine Learning can revolutionize the traditional healthcare *** of reactive healthcare systems,IoT technology combined with machine learning and edge computing can deliver proactive and preventive healthcare *** this study,a novel healthcare edge-assisted framework has been proposed to detect and prognosticate the COVID-19 suspects in the initial phases to stop the transmission of coronavirus *** proposed framework is based on edge computing to provide personalized healthcare facilities with minimal latency,short response time,and optimal energy *** this paper,the COVID-19 primary novel dataset has been used for experimental purposes employing various classification-based machine learning *** proposed models were validated using kcross-validation to ensure the consistency of *** on the experimental results,our proposed models have recorded good accuracies with highest of 97.767%by Support Vector *** to the findings of experiments,the proposed conceptual model will aid in the early detection and prediction of COVID-19 suspects,as well as continuous monitoring of the patient in order to provide emergency care in case of medical volatile situation.

Prognostic value of hematological parameters in older adult patients with acute coronary syndrome undergoing coronary intervention:a single centre prospective study

Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA)is a well-known method to analyze the flow of acoustic and vibration energy in a complex *** study investigates the application of the corrected SEA model in a non-reverberant acoustic space where the direct field component from the sound source dominates the total sound field rather than a diffuse field in a reverberant space which the classical SEA model assumption is based on.A corrected SEA model is proposed where the direct field component in the energy is removed and the power injected in the subsystem considers only the remaining power after the loss at first *** was conducted in a box divided into two rooms separated by a partition with an opening where the condition of reverberant and non-reverberant can conveniently be *** the case of a non-reverberant space where acoustic material was installed inside the wall of the experimental box,the signals are corrected by eliminating the direct field component in the measured impulse *** the corrected SEA model,comparison of the coupling loss factor(CLF)and damping loss factor(DLF)with the theory shows good agreement.

Evaluation of Various Mango Varieties against the Infection Dynamics of Powdery Mildew (<i>Oidium mangiferae</i>Bert.)

Mango (Mangifera indica L: Anacardiaceae) is regarded as the most liked fruit in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Powdery mildew of mango caused by Oidium mangiferae Bert. is one of the major plant pathological constraints in growing healthy mango orchards. The apparent symptoms of the disease occurred on young tissues of all parts of flowers, leaves and fruits. Severe blossom infection could result in complete damage to fruit;flower failed to open and drop off from the inflorescence. The inflorescence revealed a pattern of disease from tip to downward and showed itself by the emergence of wefts of white mycelium on the affected parts. Twenty-five mango varieties i.e. Langra, Dusehri, Ratole No.12, Fajri, Sindhri, Chaunsa Samar Bahisht, Anwar ratole, Neelam, Yakta, Tota Pari, Sensation, Saroli, Malda, Ghulab e Khas, Chaunsa Black, Chaunsa white, Anmol, Almas, Shan e Ali, Shan e Mustafa, Mahmood Khan, Armughan, Zafaran, Malda Late and Early Gold were evaluated through the observation of symptoms on young inflorescence to determine the disease incidence, disease severity index and average yield of fruit. The study was carried out in a randomized compete block design with twenty-five treatments and three replications. The mango varieties presented different performance in relation to powdery mildew incidence and could be categorized into eight groups. Maximum disease incidence was observed (33.33%, 26.66% and 26.66%, 26.66%) on Dusehri, Chaunsa Samar Bahisht, Malda and Ratole No.12 respectively and minimum disease incidence was (3.66% and 3.66%) noted on Almas and Sensation. These two varieties showed to be tolerant against the disease. It might be concluded that the presence or absence of symptoms caused by the powdery mildew had no such effect on the fruit yield of the mango cultivars.
