The present outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has swiftly crossed borders,and inflicted the global mental health *** is also affecting peoples’daily behaviours,economics,prevention strategies and decision-making among policymakers,healthcare organisations and medical centres that may unintentionally weaken COVID-19 control strategies and lead to increased morbidity,as well as mental health care needs ***,this outbreak is leading to further health complications worldwide,such as stress,fear of the unknown,anger,anxiety,denial,depression symptoms,and *** all the resources used to counter the spread of the virus,further universal strategies are desirable to address the associated mental health *** present study uses the qualitative means to investigate the potential impact of COVID-19,the consequences and legal aspects,then recommend policy implications,in an attempt to cover any apparent *** presents a unique analysis of its kind on the policy and legal aspects of the ongoing pandemic,as regards mental *** concludes that there is an acute need to prioritising the health care and curative issues,strengthen awareness and address the psychological syndromes or similar complications afflicting members of the general public during this pandemic.

Salinity is one of the major abiotic factors that limit the growth and productivity of *** application of plant growth regulators(PGRs)may help plants ameliorate the negative impacts of ***,a field experiment was conducted at the Botanical Garden University of Balochistan,Quetta,to explore the potential role of PGRs,i.e.,moringa leaf extract(MLE;10%),proline(PRO;1μM),salicylic acid(SA;250μM),and thiourea(TU;10 mM)in ameliorating the impacts of salinity(120 mM)on Plantago ovata,an important medicinal *** hampered plant photosynthetic pigments and metabolites but elevated oxidative ***,foliar application of PGRs enhanced photosynthetic pigments,including Chl b(21.11%),carotenoids(57.87%)except Chl a,activated the defense mechanisms by restoring and enhancing the metabolites,i.e.,soluble sugars(49.68%),soluble phenolics(33.34%),and proline(31.47%),significantly under salinity ***,foliar supplementation of PGRs under salt stress led to a decrease of about 43.02%and 43.27%in hydrogen peroxide and malondialdehyde content,***,PGRs can be recommended for improved photosynthetic efficiency and metabolite content that can help to get better yield under salt stress,with the best and most effective treatments being those of PRO and MLE to predominately ameliorate the harsh impacts of salinity.

In this paper, we proposed new results in quadruple Laplace transform and proved some properties concerned with quadruple Laplace transform. We also developed some applications based on these results and solved homogeneous as well as non-homogeneous partial differential equations involving four variables. The performance of quadruple Laplace transform is shown to be very encouraging by concrete examples. An elementary table of quadruple Laplace transform is also provided.

The present study deals with the depositional facies, diagenetic processes and sequence stratigraphy of the shallow marine carbonates of the Samana Suk Formation, Kohat Basin, in order to elucidate its reservoir quality. The Samana Suk Formation consists of thin to thick-bedded, oolitic, bioclastic, dolomitic and fractured limestone. Based on the integration of outcrop, petrographic and biofacies analyses, the unit is thought to have been deposited on a gentle homoclinal ramp in peritidal, lagoonal and carbonate shoal settings. Frequent variations in microfacies based sea-level curve have revealed seven Transgressive Systems Tracts(TSTs) and six Regressive Systems Tracts(RSTs). The unit has undergone various stages of diagenetic processes, including mechanical and chemical compaction, cementation,micritization, dissolution and dolomitization. The petrographic analyses show the evolution of porosity in various depositional and diagenetic phases. The fenestral porosity was mainly developed in peritidal carbonates during deposition,while the burial dissolution and diagenetic dolomitization have greatly enhanced the reservoir potential of the rock unit, as is further confirmed by the plug porosity and permeability analyses. The porosities and permeabilities were higher in shoal facies deposited in TSTs, as compared to lagoonal and peritidal facies, except for the dolomite in mudstone, deposited during RSTs. Hence good, moderate and poor reservoir potential is suggested for shoal, lagoonal and peritidal facies,respectively.

This paper is about short review of earthquake statistics and efforts for earthquake mitigation, hazard and risk assessment studies in Pakistan. Pakistan and adjoining region lying between longitude 60°E to 78°E and latitude 20°N to 45°N are selected for the study as this region has a history of many large earthquakes because of its location in the region of intersection of three plates namely Indian, Eurasian and Arabian Sea plate. This paper is based on the study of both seismological history of the region which includes recent and historical seismicity based on earthquake catalogue as well as geological knowledge supplemented with available fault system information. In this study, Pakistan and adjoining regions are divided into 14 seismogenic zones. Seismicity of each zone is studied considering also the major cities in the respective zone and type of infrastructure which is mainly responsible for earthquake disaster rather than earthquake itself.

Growth and Economic Assessment of Wheat under Tillage and Nitrogen Levels in Rice-Wheat System

Mechanically post-harvest puddled rice field has stubbles that often delay timely planting of winter wheat crop. Zero tillage increased the net return by decreasing the unwise tillage operations and labor charges. Keep in view, a randomized complete block design experiment in a split plot arrangement was conducted with four tillage system [conventional tillage, CT;deep tillage, DT;zero tillage with zone disc tiller, ZDT;and happy seeder, HS] in main plots and five nitrogen levels [0, 75, 100, 125, and 150 kg·ha-1] in subplots during 2009 to 2010 and 2010 to 2011 cropping seasons. Results showed that in 2009-10 and 2010-11 grain yield (4.6 Mg·ha-1 and 5.7 Mg·ha-1) in DT and (4.5 Mg·ha-1 and 5.8 Mg·ha-1) in HS were significantly higher compared with CT and ZDT. Significantly, maximum leaf area index (5.18 and 5.24) and crop growth rate (12.14 g·m-2·d-1 and 13.15 g·m-2·d-1) were noted in DT. Grain protein (11.78%) was significantly higher in DT compared with CT, ZDT, and HS during 2009-10 and 2010-11. Total yield (12.4 Mg·ha-1 and 16.4 Mg·ha-1) and grain yield (4.9 Mg·ha-1 and 6.5 Mg·ha-1) at N125 kg·ha-1 while grain protein (13.52%) at N150 kg·ha-1 was significantly higher than other nitrogen levels.
