Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMD)are atomically thin semiconductors with promising optoelectronic applications across the visible ***,their intrinsically weak light absorption and the low photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)restrict their performance and potential use,especially in ultraviolet(UV)wavelength light *** dots(QD)derived from 2D materials(2D/QD)provide effic.ent light absorption and emission of which energy can be tuned for desirable light *** this study,we greatly enhanced the photon absorption and PLQY of monolayer(1L)tungsten disulfide(WS_(2))in the UV range via hybridization with 2D/QD,particularly titanium nitride MXene QD(Ti_(2)N MQD)and graphitic carbon nitride QD(GcNQD).With the hybridization of MQD or GcNQD,1LWS_(2)showed a maximum PL enhancement by 15 times with 300 nm wavelength excitation,while no noticeable enhancement was observed when the excitation photon energy was less than the bandgap of the QD,indicating that UV absorption by the QD played a crucial role in enhancing the light emission of 1L-WS_(2)in our 0D/2D hybrid *** findings present a convenient method for enhancing the photo-response of 1L-WS_(2)to UV light and offer exciting possibilities for harvesting UV energy using 1L-TMD.

Given a compact and regular Hausdorff measure space (X, μ), with μ a Radon measure, it is known that the generalised space M(X) of all the positive Radon measures on X is isomorphic to the space of essentially bounded functions L∞(X, μ) on X. We confirm that the commutative von Neumann algebras M⊂B(H), with H=L2(X, μ), are unitary equivariant to the maximal ideals of the commutative algebra c(X). Subsequenly, we use the measure groupoid to formulate the algebraic and topological structures of the commutative algebra c(X) following its action on M(X) and define its representation and ergodic dynamical system on the commutative von Neumann algebras of M of B(H) .

climate variability as occasioned by conditions such as extreme rainfall and temperature, rainfall cessation, and irregular temperatures has considerable impact on crop yield and food security. This study develops a predictive model for cassava yield (Manihot esculenta crantz) amidst climate variability in rainfed zone of enugu State, Nigeria. This study utilized data of climate variables and tonnage of cassava yield spanning from 1971 to 2012;as well as information from a questionnaire and focus group discussion from farmers across two seasons in 2023 respectively. Regression analysis was employed to develop the predictive model equation for seasonal climate variability and cassava yield. The rainfall and temperature anomalies, decadal change in trend of cassava yield and opinion of farmers on changes in rainfall season were also computed in the study. The result shows the following relationship between cassava and all the climatic variables: R2 = 0.939;P = 0.00514;cassava and key climatic variables: R2 = 0.560;P = 0.007. The result implies that seasonal rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, sunshine hours and radiation parameters are key climatic variables in cassava production. This is supported by computed rainfall and temperature anomalies which range from −478.5 to 517.8 mm as well as −1.2˚c to 2.3˚c over the years. The questionnaire and focus group identified that farmers experienced at one time or another, late onset of rain, early onset of rain or rainfall cessation over the years. The farmers are not particularly sure of rainfall and temperature charac.eristics at any point in time. The implication of the result of this study is that rainfall and temperature parameters determine the farming season and quantity of productivity. Hence, there is urgent need to address the situation through effective and quality weather forecasting network which will help stem food insecurity in the study area and Nigeria at large. 本文介绍群体饲养生命表的资料分析基本原理及转换为个体生命表的方法。群体饲养生命表的记录实际上即年龄-龄期两性生命表的N矩阵,而每日所有雌虫的总繁殖记录即为Ftotal矩阵。利用N矩阵与Ftotal矩阵可以计算S矩阵、F矩阵及各种群参数。以桃蚜Myzus persic.e和马铃薯块茎蛾Phthorimaea operculella为例,阐明群体饲养生命表分析的理论依据,证明群体饲养生命表得到的各项参数可靠,并介绍了一种将群体饲养生命表转化为个体生命表的方法。比较了群体饲养生命表和个体饲养生命表的特点。利用群体饲养研究昆虫生命表可以节省大量人力、时间与经费,群体饲养生命表可用于设计大量饲养生物防治天敌、鱼与鸟的饲料昆虫以及可供人类食用的昆虫。

The N-terminal eF-hand calcium-binding proteins 1–3(NecAB1–3) constitute a family of predominantly neuronal proteins charac.erized by the presence of at least one eF-hand calcium-binding domain and a functionally less well charac.erized c-terminal antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. All three family members were initially discovered due to their interactions with other proteins. NecAB1 associates with synaptotagmin-1, a critical neuronal protein involved in membrane trafficking and synaptic vesic.e exocytosis. NecAB2 interacts with predominantly striatal G-protein-coupled receptors, while NecAB3 partners with amyloid-β A4 precursor protein-binding family A members 2 and 3, key regulators of amyloid-β production. This demonstrates the capacity of the family for interactions with various classes of proteins. NecAB proteins exhibit distinct subcellular localizations: NecAB1 is found in the nuc.eus and cytosol, NecAB2 resides in endosomes and the plasma membrane, and NecAB3 is present in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain, an evolutionarily anc.ent component, is akin to atypical heme oxygenases in prokaryotes but is not wellcharac.erized in vertebrates. Prokaryotic antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domains typically form dimers, suggesting that calcium-mediated conformational changes in NecAB proteins may induce antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain dimerization, potentially activating some enzymatic properties. However, the substrate for this enzymatic activity remains uncertain. Alternatively, calcium-mediated conformational changes might influence protein interactions or the subcellular localization of NecAB proteins by controlling the availability of protein–protein interaction domains situated between the eF hands and the antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain.
