Sign language is mainly utilized in communication with people who have hearing *** language is used to communicate with people hav-ing developmental impairments who have some or no interaction *** inter-action via Sign language becomes a fruitful means of communication for hearing and speech impaired persons.A Hand gesture recognition systemﬁnds helpful for deaf and dumb people by making use of human computer interface(HCI)and convolutional neural networks(CNN)for identifying the static indications of Indian Sign language(ISl).This study introduces a shark smell optimization with deep learning based automated sign language recognition(SSODl-ASlR)model for hearing and speaking impaired *** presented SSODl-ASlR technique majorly concentrates on the recognition and classiﬁcation of sign lan-guage provided by deaf and dumb *** presented SSODl-ASlR model encompasses a two stage process namely sign language detection and sign lan-guage classiﬁ*** theﬁrst stage,the mask Region based Convolution Neural Network(mask RCNN)model is exploited for sign language ***-ondly,SSO algorithm with soft margin support vector machine(Sm-SVm)model can be utilized for sign language classiﬁ*** assure the enhanced classiﬁca-tion performance of the SSODl-ASlR model,a brief set of simulations was car-ried *** extensive results portrayed the supremacy of the SSODl-ASlR model over other techniques.

A package of work is presented on development of highly effective welded structures, currently conducted by the E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute. New types of cost - effective and reliable welded struc- tures have been developed, including light - weight building structures, bridge frameworks, TV tow- ers, heavy - duty structures from high - strength steels, large-sized stringer panels and shells, unique structures of a transformable volume. A series of methods of investigations of welding stresses and strains have been created, they being characterized by a high accuracy and information content. The physical and mathematical fundamentals of optical simulation of welded stresses have been estab- lished and the theory of their similarity has been constructed. Holographic methods of investigation of the quality and stressed - strained state of welded joints have been advised. Portable holographic sys- tems for been been developed which allow investigations to be conducted without the vibration - insulation facilities. A non-destructive testing method of residual stresses determination has been elaborated based on ultrasonic probing of the appropriate sections of the welded structure. A new trend has been formed, namely the distortion - free welding of structures, which is based on regulation of the thermal processes during welding with the aim of reduction of the heat input and inducing the preliminary stressed - strained states optimized in terms of welding stresses and strains. Specialized procedures and equipment based on the acoustic emission effect have been developed for diagnostics of welded structures. The technology and equipment have been for ultrasonic impact treatment of welded joints in or- der to improve their fatigue resistance, as well as computerized methods for design of welded joints and structures.

Being bullied during childhood and the risk of obesity in adulthood: A co-twin control study

Background: The etiology of adult obesity is still poorly understood. It has been shown that over-weight children suffer from adverse psychological events, but less is known about the association of adverse psychological factors among normal weight children and adult obesity. Aim: The aim of this study was to examine if the exposure of perception of being bullied during childhood could be associated with development of adult obesity. methods: Adult, same-sexed twin pairs discordant for BmI were identified from the Danish Twin Registry. The twins underwent an interview and a physical examination. Data were analyzed by means of a growth-curve model and an intra-pair comparison. This design controls for other influences of early lifestyle and socio economic status and is therefore a powerful tool to study independent effects of specific exposures. Results: In total 236 (81.7%) of the twin individuals identified participated in the study. Participants who reported having been bullied in school, had attained a BmI which was on average 1.4 kg/m2 (95% CI = 0.2;2.5, p = 0.02) higher than those not bullied. Two other questions on specific types of bullying resulted in BmI that were 1.1 kg/m2 (CI = 0.1;2.2, p = 0.03) and 1.9 kg/m2 (CI = 0.7;3.1, p = 0.002) larger than subjects who had not been exposed to bullying. There was a direct association between intra pair differences in BmI and exposure to bullying. Conclusion: The results of the study could indicate that being bullied during childhood seems be associated with adult obesity.

This paper introduces a Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy regulator design using the negative absolute eigenvalue(NAE)approach for a class of nonlinear and unstable *** open-loop system is initially embodied by the traditional T-S fuzzy model and then,all closed-loop subsystems are combined using the proposed max-min operator in place of traditional weighted average operator from the controller side to lessen the coupling virtually and simplify the proposed regulator *** each virtually decoupled closed-loop subsystem,the composite regulators(i.e.,primary and secondary regulators)are designed by the NAE approach based on the enhanced eigenvalue *** lyapunov function is utilized to guarantee the asymptotic stability of the overall T-S fuzzy control *** most popular and widely used nonlinear and unstable systems like the electromagnetic levitation system(EmlS)and the inverted cart pendulum(ICP)are simulated for the wide range of the initial conditions and the enormous variation in the *** transient and steady-state performance of the considered systems using the proposed design are analyzed in terms of the decay rate,settling time and integral errors as IAE,ISE,ITAE,and ITSE to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared to the most popular and traditional parallel distributed compensation(PDC)approach.

A Photometric Study of Two Contact Binaries: CRTS J025408.1+265957 and CRTS J012111.1+272933

We performed new photometric observations for two contact binaries(i.e., CRTS J025408.1+265957 and CRTS J012111.1+272933), which were observed by the 1.0 m telescope at Xingjiang Astronomical Observatory. From our light curves and several survey data, we derived several sets of photometric solutions. We found that CRTS J025408.1+265957 and CRTS J012111.1+272933 were A-and W-type W Uma, respectively. The results imply that the spot migrates or disappears in the two contact binaries, which were identified by chromospheric activity emissions(e.g., Hαemission) from lAmOST spectra. From the O-C curves, the orbital periods of the two contact binaries may be increasing, which is interpreted by the mass transfer from the less massive component to the more massive one. With mass transferring, the two contact binaries may evolve from the contact configurations to semi-detached ones as predicted by the theory of thermal relaxation oscillation.
