Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar for highly proficient green hydrogen electrocatalyst at high current density

Advanced OER/HER electrocatalytic alternatives are crucial for the wide adaptation of green hydrogen ***,Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar （SCP）,denoted as Ru/NiMnB,is synthesized using a combination of electro-deposition and hydrothermal *** investigation of Ru doping in the NiMnB matrix revealed significant improvements in electrocatalytic *** Ru/NiMnB SCPs demonstrate superior OER/HER activity with low overpotentials of 150 and 103 mV at 50mA/cm2in 1 M KOH,making them highly competitive with state-of-the-art ***,the Ru/NiMnB SCPs exhibit a low 2-E cell voltage of 2.80 V at ultra-high current density of 2,000 m A/cm2in 1 M KOH,outperforming the standard benchmark electrodes of RuO2||Pt/C,thereby positioning Ru/NiMnB as one of the best bifunctional *** SCPs exhibit exceptional high-current characteristics,stability and corrosion resistance,as evidenced by continuous operation at 1,000 mA/cm2high-current density for over 150 h in 6 M KOH at elevated temperatures under harsh industrial *** a small amount of Ru incorporation significantly enhances the electrocatalytic performances of NiMnB,attributed to increased active sites and improved intrinsic properties such as conductivity,adsorption/desorption capability and reaction ***,Ru/NiMnB SCPs present a promising bi-functional electrode concept for efficient green H2production.

At present,the power system is more inclined towards disturbances,such as voltage variations and unbalanced load conditions,due to the grid's complexity and load *** challenges emphasize the integration of the compensating devices,such as battery storage(BS)and *** this regard,this current paper exhibits a novel energy management system(EMS)of a combined BS and D-STATCOM to compensate the power system during *** EMS is based on a fractional order sliding mode control(FOSMC)to drive the voltage source converters(VSCs)such that the active power is independently absorbed/injected by the BS,whereas the reactive power is independently absorbed/injected by the D-STATCOM depending upon the disturbance *** is a robust non-linear controller in which the Riemann-Liouville(RL)function is employed to design the sliding surface and the exponential reaching law is used to minimize the chattering *** stability of the FOSMC in the proposed EMS is proved using the Lyapunov candidate *** order to validate the performance of the proposed EMS,a model of a 400 V,180 kVA radial distributor along with a BS and D-STATCOM is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment in two test *** results prove that the proposed EMS with FOMSC effectively compensates the power system under voltage variations and unbalanced load conditions with rapid tracking,fast convergence and upright ***,the results have been compared with the classical proportional integral(PI)control and fixed frequency SMC(FFSMC),and they demonstrate the superiority of the proposed EMS with FOSMC in power system applications.

Improving Association Rules Accuracy in Noisy Domains Using Instance Reduction Techniques

Association rules’learning is a machine learning method used in finding underlying associations in large *** intentionally or unintentionally present,noise in training instances causes overfitting while building the classifier and negatively impacts classification *** paper uses instance reduction techniques for the datasets before mining the association rules and building the *** reduction techniques were originally developed to reduce memory requirements in instance-based *** paper utilizes them to remove noise from the dataset before training the association rules *** experiments were conducted to assess the accuracy of association rules with different instance reduction techniques,namely:DecrementalReduction Optimization Procedure(DROP)3,DROP5,alL K-Nearest Neighbors(alLKNN),Edited Nearest Neighbor(ENN),and Repeated Edited Nearest Neighbor(RENN)in different noise *** show that instance reduction techniques substantially improved the average classification accuracy on three different noise levels:0%,5%,and 10%.The RENN algorithm achieved the highest levels of accuracy with a significant improvement on seven out of eight used datasets from the University of California Irvine(UCI)machine learning *** improvements were more apparent in the 5%and the 10%noise *** RENN was applied,the average classification accuracy for the eight datasets in the zero-noise test enhanced from 70.47%to 76.65%compared to the original *** average accuracy was improved from 66.08%to 77.47%for the 5%-noise case and from 59.89%to 77.59%in the 10%-noise *** confidence was also reported in building the association rules when RENN was *** above results indicate that RENN is a good solution in removing noise and avoiding overfitting during the construction of the association rules classifier,especially in noisy domains.

The uptake of metals in roots and their transfer to rhizomes and above-ground plant parts（stems, leaves） of cattails（Typha latifolia L.） were studied in leachates from a domestic landfill site（Etueffont, France） and treated in a natural lagooning system. Plant parts and corresponding water and sediment samples were taken at the inflow and outflow points of the four ponds at the beginning and at the end of the growing season. Concentrations of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn in the different compartments were estimated and their removal efficiency assessed, reaching more than 90% for Fe, Mn and Ni in spring and fall as well in the water compartment. The above-and below-ground cattail biomass varied from 0.21 to 0.85, and 0.34 to 1.24 kg dry weight/m^2, respectively, the highest values being recorded in the fourth pond in spring 2011. The root system was the first site of accumulation before the rhizome, stem and leaves. The highest metal concentration was observed in roots from cattails growing at the inflow of the system＇s first pond. The trend in the average trace element concentrations in the cattail plant organs can generally be expressed as： Fe 〉 Mn 〉 As 〉 Zn 〉 Cr 〉 Cu 〉 Ni 〉 Cd for both spring and fall. While T. latifolia removes trace elements efficiently from landfill leachates, attention should also be paid to the negative effects of these elements on plant growth.

A new method is illustrated for processing the output of a set of triad orthogonal rate gyros and accelerometers to reconstruct vehicle navigation parameters(attitude, velocity, and position). The paper introduces two vectors with dimensions 4×1 as velocity and position *** navigation equations for strapdown systems are nonlinear but after using these parameters, the navigation equations are converted into a pseudo-linear system. The new set of navigation equations has an analytical solution and the state transition matrix is used to solve the linear timevarying differential equations through time series. The navigation parameters are updated using the new formulation for strapdown navigation equations. Finally, the quaternions of velocity and position are converted into the original position and velocity vectors. The combination of the coning motion and a translational oscillatory trajectory is used to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed algorithm. The simulations show significant improvement in the accuracy of the inertial navigation system, which is achieved through the mentioned algorithm.

This study was aimed at examining the phylogenetic and morphometric relationship of frigate tuna（Auxis thazard） and bullet tuna（Auxis rochei） using mt DNA D-loop（control） region sequences and truss measurements,respectively. Maximum-likelihood（ML） tree and median-joining network showed that haplotypes from Auxis populations grouped separately. Discriminant function analyses and non-metric multidimensional scaling of morphometric data showed that bullet and frigate tuna were differed mainly with respect to truss measurements on the anterior region, suggesting adaptation to different diets available in different environments. Historic demographic analyses of sequence data showed that both bullet and frigate tuna had not undergone a significant sudden population expansion recently. Non-significant value of Tajimas＇ s D and Fu＇s F_S were indicated an effective large and stable population size for longer period of both species in South China Sea and Java Sea species. This study gives first report on the complementary relationship between morphometric and genetic analysis in stock discrimination of genus Auxis.

The concept of elastic moment tensor occurs in several interesting contexts, in particular in imaging small elastic inclusions and in asymptotic models of dilute elastic composites. In this paper, we compute the elastic moment tensors for ellipses and ellipsoids by using a systematic method based on layer potentials. Our computations reveal an underlying elegant relation between the elastic moment tensors and the single layer potential.
