Optimum genetic delivery for modulating target genes to diseased tissue is a major obstacle for profitable gene *** nanoparticles(LNPs),considered a prospective vehicle for nucleic acid delivery,have demonstrated efficacy in human use during the COVID-19 *** study introduces a novel biomaterial-based platform,M1-polarized macrophage-derived cellular nanovesicle-coated LNPs(M1-C-LNPs),specifically engineered for a combined gene-immunotherapy approach aga.nst solid *** dual-function system of M1-C-LNPs encapsulates Bcl2-targeting siRNA within LNPs and immune-modulating cytokines within M1 macrophage-derived cellular nanovesicles(M1-NVs),effectively facilitating apoptosis in cancer cells without impacting T and NK cells,which activate the intratumoral immune response to promote granule-mediating killing for solid tumor *** retention within tumor was observed upon intratumoral administration of M1-C-LNPs,owing to the presence of adhesion molecules on M1-NVs,thereby contributing to superior tumor growth *** findings represent a promising strategy for the development of targeted and effective nanoparticle-based cancer genetic-immunotherapy,with significant implications for advancing biomaterial use in cancer therapeutics.

Summer extreme precipitation patterns and synoptic-scale circulation precursors over the Tibetan Plateau

In the context of global warming,the extreme summer precipitation over the Tibetan Plateau(TP)has changed *** this study,the summer(June–August)extreme precipitation on the TP was classified into three spatial types by applying the K-means clustering method to the Third Pole Region long time-series high-resolution(1/30°)precipitation dataset(TPHi Pr,1979–2020).The characteristics of the circulation anomalies and precursors corresponding to the extreme precipitation on the TP in summer during 1979–2020 were *** results showed that the summer extreme precipitation of the TP can be categorized into northwestern(NW),southeastern(SE),and southern Himalayan(HS)types based on extreme precipitation *** NW and SE types are mainly influenced by anomalous signals in the mid-to-high latitude regions upstream of them,whereas the HS type is controlled by the localized subtropical anomalous *** the 8th day before the onset of the NW type,an anomalous cyclone was observed in the western Atlantic Ocean(60°W,50°N),which triggered the west-to-east quasi-latitudinal propaga.ion of Rossby *** the onset day of the NW type,the upper troposphere showed positive-nega.ive-positive geopotential height anomalies along the latitudinal 40°N from the Caspian Sea,the western part of Xinjiang,to the northeastern *** entered from the Arabian Sea along the southeastern edge of the anomalous cyclone on the southwestern TP and converged in the northwestern *** to the NW type,the precursors of the SE type appeared at higher latitudes and were more *** the 8th day before the onset of the SE type,an anomalous cyclone occurred near greenland(60°W,70°N)and excited Rossby waves propaga.ing *** the onset day of the SE type,the upper troposphere showed nega.ive-positive-nega.ive geopotential height anomalies across Eurasia from the Ural Mountains and the Iranian Plateau to the northern TP in the northwest-southeast directi

Slag corrosion is one of the main factors of the damage of refractory,and its primary manifestations involve the melting of refractory in slag and the slag penetration into refractory,both of which are highly related to the wetting behavior between slag and *** high-temperature wettability could be characterized by parameters including the surface tension,adhesion work,and spreading coefficient of the slag on refractory surface,and it could be suppressed by altering the slag/refractory interface,thus resulting in an improved anti-corrosion *** this,the key knowledges of the slag corrosion,theory of wetting behavior and test of high-temperature contact angle were firstly ***,the major factors influencing the high-temperature slag wetting behavior were discussed based on the aspects of slag composition,refractory composition,and surface ***,the future research direction was proposed in this field.

Non-dimensional analysis on blast wave propaga.ion in foam concrete:Minimum thickness to avoid stress enhancement

Foam concrete is a prospective material in defense engineering to protect structures due to its high energy absorption capability resulted from the long plateau ***,stress enhancement rather than stress mitiga.ion may happen when foam concrete is used as sacrificial claddings placed in the path of an incoming blast *** investiga.e this interesting phenomenon,a one-dimensional difference model for blast wave propaga.ion in foam concrete is firstly proposed and numerically solved by improving the second-order godunov *** difference model and numerical algorithm are validated aga.nst experimental results including both the stress mitiga.ion and the stress *** difference model is then used to numerically analyze the blast wave propaga.ion and deformation of material in which the effects of blast loads,stress-strain relation and length of foam concrete are *** particular,the concept of minimum thickness of foam concrete to avoid stress enhancement is ***,non-dimensional analysis on the minimum thickness is conducted and an empirical formula is proposed by curve-fitting the numerical data,which can provide a reference for the application of foam concrete in defense engineering.

Fabricating functionally graded Fe-Cr-Co permanent magnetic alloys via laser powder bed fusion

Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)in-situ alloying technology offers the possibility to construct gradient materials with varied structures and *** graded Fe-Cr-Co permanent magnetic alloys were fabricated by LPBF and in-situ alloying mixed powders of Fe,Cr,and Co *** effects of different Fe,Cr and Co contents on the microstructure,magnetic properties and hardness of Fe-Cr-Co alloys prepared by LPBF were *** as-built Fe-Cr-Co alloys present a single body-centered-cubic phase and have a homogeneous distribution of *** mechanical properties and magnetic properties of the compositionally graded sample show a gradient *** the increase in Cr content,the Vickers hardness of the sample increases,and the saturation magnetization of the sample *** optimal magnetic properties in an isotropic state are given as coercivity HcB=21.65 kA/m,remanence Br=0.70 T and energy product(BH)_(max)=5.35 kJ/m^(3),which are comparable to or higher than the reported magnetic properties in an isotropic state prepared by traditional powder *** in-situ alloying technology has the potential to further explore Fe-Cr-Co magnetic materials,such as those consisting of multiple or more constituent elements,and to maximize the compositional flexibility of magnetic materials.

Probiotics intervention in colorectal cancer:From traditional approaches to novel strategies

The intestine harbors a large population of microorga.isms that interact with epithelial cells to maintain host healthy physiological *** intestinal microbiota enga.e in the fermentation of non-digestible nutrients and produce beneficial metabolites to regulate host homeostasis,metabolism,and immune *** disruption of microbiota,known as dysbiosis,has been implicated in many intestinal diseases,including colorectal cancer(CRC).As the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide,CRC poses a significant health *** is an urgent need for novel interventions to reduce CRC incidence and improve clinical *** the intestinal microbiota has emerged as a promising approach for CRC prevention and *** research efforts in CRC probiotics primarily focus on reducing the incidence of CRC,alleviating treatment-related side effects,and potentiating the efficacy of anticancer therapy,which is the key to successful translation to clinical *** paper aims to review the traditional probiotics and new interventions,such as next-generation probiotics and postbiotics,in the context of *** underlying mechanisms of probiotic anti-cancer effects are also discussed,including the restoration of microbial composition,reinforcement of gut barrier integrity,induction of cancer cell apoptosis,inactivation of carcinogens,and modulation of host immune *** paper further evaluates the novel strategy of probiotics as an adjuvant therapy in boosting the efficacy of chemotherapy and *** all the promising findings presented in studies,the evaluation of potential risks,optimization of delivery methods,and consideration of intra-patient variability of gut microbial baseline must be thoroughly interpreted before bench-to-bedside translation.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries have attracted much attention due to their high theoretical capacity,low cost high safety,and ***,challenges such as dendrite growth and side reactions severely hinder the electrochemical performance of the Zn anode,leading to low Coulombic efficiency(CE)or even short circuits Herein,phenolic resin(PF)is used as a protective coating on the surface of the zinc metal *** PF layer can greatly improve the corrosion resistance of the Zn electrode in the ***,this artificial electrode/electrolyte interphase also elevates the nucleation barrier and restrains Zn^(2+)2D diffusion,regulating the zinc deposition/dissolution *** a result,PF@Zn symmetric cells exhibit superior performance than that of bare Zn symmetric cells,achieving a stable and dendrite-free cycle of 1400 ***,the carbon nanotube MnO_(2)||PF@Zn(CNT/MnO_(2)||PF@Zn)full cell also delivers a long cycle life with a high-capacity retention of about 180.0 m Ah·g^(-1)after 1400 cycles,far exceeding that of bare Zn *** work provides a facile strategy for achieving a dendrite-free and rechargeable zinc anode.
