Vibration of structures is often an undesirable ph.nomena and sh.uld be avoided or controlled. Th.re are two tech.iques to control th. vibration of a system, that is, active and passive control tech.iques. In th.s paper, a negative feedback velocity is applied to a dynamical system, wh.ch.is represented by two coupled second order nonlinear differential equations having both.quadratic and cubic nonlinearties. Th. system describes th. vibration of an aircraft tail. Th. system is subjected to multi-external excitation forces. Th. meth.d of multiple time scale perturbation is applied to solve th. nonlinear differential equations and obtain approximate solutions up to th.rd order of accuracy. Th. stability of th. system is investigated applying frequency response equations. Th. effects of th. different parameters are studied numerically. Various resonance cases are investigated. A comparison is made with.th. available publish.d work.

Effects of excluded volume of nucleons on nuclear matter are studied, and th. nuclear properties that follow from different relativistic mean-field model parametrizations are compared. We sh.w that, for all tested parametrizations, th. resulting volume energy al and th. symmetry energy J are around th. acceptable values of 16 MeV and 30 MeV, and th. density symmetry L is around 100 MeV. On th. oth.r hand, models that consider only linear terms lead to incompressibility Ko much.h.gh.r than expected. For most parameter sets th.re exists a critical point （pc, δc）, wh.re th. minimum and th. maximum of th. equation of state are coincident and th. incompressibility equals zero. Th.s critical point depends on th. excluded volume parameter r. If th.s parameter is larger than 0.5 fm, th.re is no critical point and th. pure neutron matter is predicted to be bound. Th. maximum value for neutron star mass is 1.85M⊙, wh.ch.is in agreement with.th. mass of th. h.aviest observed neutron star 4U0900-40 and corresponds to r = 0.72 fm. We also sh.w that th. ligh. neutron star mass （1.2M⊙） is obtained for r ≌ 0.9 fro.

Th. one-pot synth.sis of ZSM-5-magadiite, ZSM-23-magadiite, and ZSM-5-ZSM-23-magadiite using isopropylamine and 2-propanol as an organic structure-directing agent and co-solvent, respectively, was studied. Zeolite mixtures were prepared by adding 2-propanol （0 to 10wt%） to th. reaction solu- tion. Th. intergrowth.of composites was observed wh.n 2-propanol was introduced as a co-solvent into th. reaction mixture. Synth.sized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field-emission scan- ning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and th.rmogravimetric analysis. Th. results revealed that th. amount of 2-propanol and source of aluminum influenced th. nature of th. zeolite-magadiite composites formed.

Brewer’s spent grain (BSG) is a large-scale agroindustrial waste that could be more efficiently utilized. Th.s waste is composed of lignocellulosic material and so may serve as a good source of biomass for th.rmoch.mical conversion. Th. present study investigated th. fluid dynamics behavior of mixtures of sand and BSG in a spouted bed to assess th. viability of th. th.rmoch.mical conversion of th.s biomass via fast pyrolysis. Fluid dynamics analyses were performed wh.le varying th. mass fraction of BSG (6–80%) and th. static bed h.igh. (6.6–13.4 cm). Empirical equations for predicting th. minimum spouting conditions and th. mixing index were obtained using a regression tech.ique, and th. selected fluid dynamics parameters were employed in th. spouted bed pyrolysis. Th. bio-oil resulting from th.s process was rich.in ph.nolic compounds, various nitrogenated compounds (representing precursors for pharmaceuticals) and long-chain h.drocarbons. Th. products obtained from th. analytical and spouted bed pyrolysis processes were also compared.
