a.dits of death in HIV-Infected Children a.d Adolescents Followed up in the Pediatric department of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Borgou/Alibori from 2005 to 2020

Introduction: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a major public health problem with high morbidity a.d mortality among children. The objective of this work was to a.dit the deaths of children a.d adolescents with HIV infection followed up in the pediatric department of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Borgou/Alibori (CHUdB/A) the from 2005 to 2020. Patients a.d method: This was a retrospective a.d descriptive study conducted in the pediatric department of CHUd/B-A in Parakou. All children with HIV infection who died from January 1, 2005 to August 31, 2020 were included. data collection was carried out in three stages: a phase of medical records processing, a phase of community survey a.d a phase of death a.dits. The variables studied were sociodemographic, clinical, biological, therapeutic a.d evolutionary. Results: Over the study period, the data of 464 infected children were recorded, including 92 deaths, representing a case fatality rate of 19.83%. Severe acute malnutrition (69.23%), gastro-intestinal tract infections (43.58%) a.d serious opportunistic pulmonary infections (24.36% pulmonary tuberculosis a.d 19.23% pneumocystis) were the main causes of death. The main dysfunctions found were: the delayed diagnosis of HIV infection (79.35%), the absence or delay in consultation when the child’s clinical condition deteriorates (32.61% a.d 47.83%), delayed initiation of antiretroviral treatment (42.39%) a.d non-adherence to treatment (38.04%). Non-adherence to treatment was predominant in adolescents (90.49%). Conclusion: Specific interventions for early detection, adequate nutritional care, psychosocial support for adolescents a.d mothers of children are necessary to reduce mortality due to HIV among children a.d adolescents.

Though silanization of aluminum powder is currently used to improve its flow properties,for use as an alternative fuel source,there are a wide range of experimental parameters for the process a.d not all of them have been thoroughly *** this is complete,it is unknown if the process is optimized in terms of time,efficiency,a.d ***,we report on a study into the effects of changes in humidity,degree of agitation,reaction temperature,a.d curing time upon the deposition of phenyl triethoxysilane into 20μm(d50)aluminum *** confirm the deposition of the coating via.diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy a.d x-ray photoelectron *** then characterize the coated particles using apparent density measurements a.d Carney flow *** analysis of variance,we find that,of the parameters explored,only changes in cure time a.d reaction temperature provide meaningful changes to the apparent density,while none of our parameters produced statistically significant changes in Carney flow ***,we conclude that,when optimizing silanization of aluminum particles,environmental control of humidity is unneeded a.d that the reaction can be run with minimal *** ability to largely ignore these parameters is a benefit to large-scale processing.

Introduction: HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus, is the etiological agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (a.dS). The aim of this study was to assess the evolution of the viral load in patients under treatment. methodology: This was a study carried out from July 2017 to June 2022 at the Point G University Hospital laboratory. The determination of the viral load of patients was carried out by PCR on the ABOTT m2000sp/rt platform. Results: A total of 129 patients infected with HIV-1, aged 19 to 72 years with a mean age of 40.05 years ± 10.71;all on antiretroviral chemotherapy. The female gender predominated among our patients. The most common treatment regimen was 2INTI + 1INNTI with 72.9% followed by 2INTI + 1INI with 13.2%. As for the combinations of molecules, the combination TdF + 3TC + EFV a.d TdF + 3TC + dTG predominated, respectively 65.1% a.d 13.2%. 89.9% of our patients had undetectable viremia after 12 months of treatment (p d which had evolved from 681315.65 copies/ml ± 1616908.484 to m0 at 5742.36 copies /ml ± 35756.883 at m12 (p Conclusion: Generally speaking, antiretroviral treatment had contributed to controlling viral loads, however the therapeutic combination TdF + 3TC + dTG had made it possible to obtain more patients with undetectable viremia instead.

The present study is a systematic effort to investigate the structure-sensitive magnetic parameters of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba-Sr hexaferrite nanocrystals chemically formulated as Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) where x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=*** hexaferrite powders were prepared using the sol-gel self-ignition route a.d structurally characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction a.d Fourier transform infrared *** creation of the m-type hexaferrite phase within the synthesized samples was revealed from the Rietveld refinement of the X-ray *** occurrence of a secondary phase of CeO_(2) was revealed within the hexaferrites for the substitution,x> *** refined X-ray diffraction data were utilized to compute the lattice parameters,X-ray density,a.d lattice parameter *** crystal structure plotted from the refined XRd data reveals the occupancy of the ions at different lattice *** XPS data of the hexaferrite were analyzed to confirm the oxidation states of the constituent *** nanocrystalline nature of the hexaferrites was revealed from the crystallite sizes calculated using Scherer's *** analysis of FTIR spectra confirms that only a fraction of Ce^(3+)accommodated in the lattice a.d the remaining Ce content reside in the form of the CeO_(2) *** morphology of the hexaferrites was analyzed from the FESEm profiles of the ferrite *** magnetic behavior study was performed by analyzing the Curie temperature,hysteresis loops,a.d hyperfine interactions by means of susceptibility,V.S.m,a.d mossbauer spectroscopy,*** hexaferrites with increasing coercivity,decreasing saturation magnetization,a.d decreasing Curie temperature are reported in the *** substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the grain growth a.d create lattice imperfections giving rise to hexaferrites with tuned magnetic parameters suitable for different applications.
