Experimental Investigation of Flexible hawkmoth-like Wings on the Wing-wake Interaction in Hovering Flight

To study wing-wake interaction for various wing flexibilities, force measurements and digital particle image velocimetry were carried out on flapping hawkmoth-like wings in a water tank. Wing thickness was employed as a design variable for the wing flexi- bility distributions. Abrupt flap-down and phase delay in flexible wings influenced the behaviors of the Leading-Edge Vortex （LEV） and Trailing-Edge Vortex （TEV）, generated by the previous stroke. While the rigid wing exhibited a detached LEV at the end of the stroke, wing with specific flexibilities obtained attached LEVs. The attached LEVs induced a relatively rapid flow toward the wing surface as a result of encountering the TEV, and the flow caused a higher lift peak. On the other hand, the wings with larger wing deformations generated distinctive changes in LEV and TEV behaviors. The flap-down helped the TEV form closer to the wing surface, and it thus caused a downwash rather than wing-wake interaction. Furthermore, the most flexible wing had a newly-formed pair of LEVs above the wing during the wing reversal, thereby being not able to generate the wing-wake interaction. These results help to understand the different vortex structures generated by flexible wings during the wing reversal and the corresponding effects of wing-wake interaction.

Electro-hydraulic actuators(Eha)have recently played a signiﬁcant role in modern industrial applications,especially in systems requiring extremely high *** can be explained by Eha’s ability to precisely control the position and force through advanced sensors and innovative control *** of the promising approaches to improve control accuracy for Eha systems is applying classical to modern control algorithms,in which the proportional–inte-gral–derivative(PID)algorithm,fuzzy logic controller,and a hybrid of these methods are popular *** this paper,we developed a novel version of the fuzzy control algorithm and linear feedback control method,namely fuzzy lin-ear feedback control,to improve the control *** achieve the highest performance,weﬁrst designed a mathematical Eha model based on the Matlab/Simulink software packages thanks to the selected parameters,which are similar to a real Eha ***,we respectively applied PID,fuzzy PID(FPID),and fuzzy linear feedback control(FLFC)before comparing them to have a full view of the outstanding advantages of the proposed *** simulation results showed that the proposed FLFC algorithm is approximately 99%and 77%super-ior in performance to the PID and feedback control algorithms,respectively.

Comprehensive analysis of two-dimensional charge transport mechanism in thin-film transistors based on random networks of single-wall carbon nanotubes using transient measurements

Understanding charge transport mechanisms in thin-film transistors based on random networks of single-wall carbon nanotubes(SWCNT-TFTs)is essential for further advances to improve the potential for various nanoelectronic ***,a comprehensive investigation of the two-dimensional(2D)charge transport mechanism in SWCNT-TFTs is reported by analyzing the temperature-dependent electrical characteristics determined from the direct-current and non-quasi-static transient measurements at 80-300 *** elucidate the time-domain charge transport characteristics of the random networks in the SWCNTs,an empirical equation was derived from a theoretical trapping model,and a carrier velocity distribution was determined from the differentiation of the transient ***,charge trapping and de-trapping in shallow-and deep-traps in SWCNT-TFTs were analyzed by investigating charge transport based on their trapping/de-trapping *** comprehensive analysis of this study provides fundamental insights into the 2D charge transport mechanism in TFTs based on random networks of nanomaterial channels.

On the System Performance of Mobile Edge Computing in an Uplink NOMA WSN With a Multiantenna Access Point Over Nakagami-m Fading

In this paper,we study the system performance of mobile edge computing(MEC)wireless sensor networks(WSNs)using a multiantenna access point(AP)and two sensor clusters based on uplink nonorthogonal multiple access(NOMA).Due to limited computation and energy resources,the cluster heads(CHs)offload their tasks to a multiantenna AP over Nakagami-m *** proposed a combination protocol for NOMA-MEC-WSNs in which the AP selects either selection combining(SC)or maximal ratio combining(MRC)and each cluster selects a CH to participate in the communication process by employing the sensor node(SN)*** derive the closed-form exact expressions of the successful computation probability(SCP)to evaluate the system performance with the latency and energy consumption constraints of the considered *** results are provided to gain insight into the system performance in terms of the SCP based on system parameters such as the number of AP antennas,number of SNs in each cluster,task length,working frequency,offloading ratio,and transmit power ***,to determine the optimal resource parameters,i.e.,the offloading ratio,power allocation of the two CHs,and MEC AP resources,we proposed two algorithms to achieve the best system *** approach reveals that the optimal parameters with different schemes significantly improve SCP compared to other similar *** use Monte Carlo simulations to confirm the validity of our analysis.

Surgical repair of intractable chylous ascites following laparoscopic anterior resection

Chylous ascites is the accumulation of a milk-like peritoneal fluid rich in triglycerides and it is an unusual complication following surgical treatment of colorectal cancer. Conservative management is usually sufficientin patients with chylous ascites after surgery. However,we describe a patient with intractable chylous ascites after laparoscopic anterior resection for sigmoid colon cancer who failed initial conservative treatment. This patient was successfully managed by surgery.

Nutrients concentration and changes in decade-scale in the central Bohai Sea

The nutrients contents and distributions are discussed briefly, based on the data obtained in 1998～1999. Besides explanation of the results,a 20 a time series data of nutrients and biological parameters for central Bohai Sea are reviewed. It is found that both concentration and relative content of nutrients have been changed dramatically. The increase of nitrogen and decrease of phosphate and silicate led to the dramatically increase of N/P ratio and the decrease of Si/N ratio. The situation of nitrogen limiting in central Bohai Sea is gradually changing to that of relative lack of phosphate and silicate. The decrease of the Huanghe River input to the Bohai Sea may be responsible for this change. These in turn may limit the growth of diatom and thus promote the development of pyrrophyta if other conditions (e.g. temperature and hydrodynamics) are suitable. We conclude that this may be the major inducement factor of pyrrophyta red tide in the Bohai Sea.

目的探讨无人驾驶车在智能交通系统、大数据、人工智能等技术支持下,对人类移动性的范式拓展与设计思考,研究新型人类移动性下无人驾驶车的交互设计方法。方法采用文献调查法、田野调查法和用户参与式设计方法进行分析研究。结果无人驾驶车对人类移动性的拓展包含信息转化,时空维度转换,固有信息与即生信息、转化信息构成了人类新的社交网络以及移动性的内容知识图谱。链接物资流、信息流和资金流的人类移动性构建在多种空间的灵活信息架构中。结论新型人类移动性的无人驾驶车交互设计,将交互内容、功能、媒介的设计,与人类移动性的数据采集、数据处理、数据应用相映射,交互模型中人的身份变得多元,人类群体移动性的交互模式形成新的交互行为逻辑,交互环境由人工智能数字环境和人类智能非数字环境共同构成混合智能的交互样态,信息架构基于自动驾驶形成自适应用户自产生内容UGC前馈和无人驾驶车专业生产内容PGC反馈的智能信息,新的人类移动性催生出由交互载体、功能、内容三要素构成的新的人机交互范式。
