Dynamic impact properties of deep sandstone under thermal-hydraulicmecha.ical coupling loads

The deep rock mass within coal mines situated in a cha.lenging environment are cha.acterized by high ground stress,high geotemperature,high osmotic water pressure,and dynamic disturbances from mecha.ical *** investigate the impact of this complex mecha.ical environment on the dynamic cha.acteristics of roof sandstone in self-formed roadways without coal pillars,standard specimens of deep sandstone from the 2611 upper tunnel working face of the Yongmei Company within the Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group in Henan,China were prepared,and an orthogonal test was *** a self-developed geotechnical dynamic impact mecha.ics test system,triaxial dynamic impact tests under thermal-hydraulicmecha.ical coupling conditions were conducted on deep *** results indicate tha. under high confining pressure,deep sandstone exhibits pronounced brittle failure at low temperatures,with peak strength gradually decreasing as temperature and osmotic water pressure ***,under low confining pressure and low temperature,the brittleness of deep sandstone weakens gradually,while ductility ***,sandstone demonstrates higher peak strength at low temperatures under high axial pressure conditions,lower peak strength at high temperatures,and greater strain under low axial pressure and high osmotic water *** in impact air pressure and osmotic water pressure ha.e proportionally greater effects on peak stress and peak *** 50%of the input strain energy is utilized as effective energy driving the sandstone fracture *** analysis identifies the optimal combination of factors affecting the peak stress and peak strain of *** the coupling effect,intergranular and transgranular fractures occur within the *** images illustrate tha. the damage forms range from minor damage with multiple fissures to extensive fractures and severe *** study elucidates the varied dynamic impact me

Dynamic motion of quadrupedal robots on cha.lenging terrain:a kinodynamic optimization approach

The dynamic motion of quadrupedal robots on cha.lenging terrain generally requires elaborate spatial–temporal kinodynamic motion planning and accurate control at higher refresh rate in comparison with regular ***,conventional quadrupedal robots usually generate relatively coarse planning and employ motion replanning or reactive strategies to ha.dle terrain *** resultant complex and computation-intensive controller may lead to nonoptimal motions or the breaking of locomotion *** this paper,a kinodynamic optimization approach is *** generate long-horizon optimal predictions of the kinematic and dynamic beha.ior of the quadruped robot on cha.lenging terrain,we formulate motion planning as an optimization problem;jointly treat the foot’s locations,contact forces,and torso motions as decision variables;combine smooth motion and minimal energy consumption as the objective function;and explicitly represent feasible foothold region and friction constraints based on terrain *** track the generated motions accurately and stably,we employ a whole-body controller to compute reference position and velocity commands,which are fed forward to joint controllers of the robot’s *** verify the effectiveness of the developed approach through simulation and on a physical quadruped robot *** show tha. the quadruped robot can successfully traverse a 30°slope and 43% of nominal leg length high step while maintaining the rhythm of dynamic trot gait.

Analytical Expression for the Atomic Friction of a Single Asperity Based on the Prandtl-Tomlinson Model

The Prandtl-Tomlinson(PT)model ha. been widely applied to interpret the atomic friction mecha.ism of a single *** this study,we present an approximate explicit expression for the friction force in the one-dimensional PT model under quasi-static ***‘stick-slip’friction curves are first approximated properly by sawtooth-like lines,where the critical points before and after the‘slip’motion are described analytically in terms of a dimensionless parameterη.Following this,the average friction force is expressed in a closed form tha. remains continuous and valid forη>***,an analytical expression for the load dependence of atomic friction of a single asperity is derived by connecting the parameterηwith the normal *** the parameters reported in experiments,our prediction shows good agreement with relevant experimental results.

Effective removal of Sb(V)from aqueous solutions by micro-electrolysis with composite scrap iron-manganese as filler

Micro-electrolysis(ME)technology is investigated for improving the efficiency of removal of pentavalent antimony(Sb(V))from the *** this study,an ME system composed of scrap iron filings,waste manganese fillings,and activated carbon(Fe-Mn-C ME)was used to efficiently remove Sb(V).The results proved tha.,compared with conventional iron-carbon micro-electrolysis(Fe-C ME),Fe-Mn-C ME significantly enha.ces the removal rate of Sb(V)when the hydraulic retention time is 10–24 *** Fe-Mn flocs produced by this system were analyzed using X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area analysis,which revealed tha. the flocs were mostly Mn-substituted FeOOH and ha. a relatively larger specific surface area,providing better adsorption ***,it was found tha. the removal rate of Sb(V)decreased as the iron-carbon mass ratio increased,while it first increased and then decreased as the manganese content *** reduction of Fe(III)was accelerated with an increase in the addition of manganese,leading to an increase in the concentration of Fe(II).The electron transfer and the formation of Fe(II)were facilitated by the potential difference between manganese and carbon,as well as by the formation of microcells between iron and manganese,which improved the reduction ability of Sb(V).From our thorough investigation and research,this is the first report tha. ha. proposed Fe-Mn-C ME for removing *** provides a novel approach and technological support for removing Sb(V)efficiently.

Effect of hot isostatic pressure on the microstructure and tensile properties of γ'-strengthened superalloy fabricated through induction-assisted directed energy deposition

The microstructure cha.acteristics and strengthening mecha.ism of Inconel738LC(IN-738LC) alloy prepared by using induction-assisted directed energy deposition(IDED) were elucidated through the investigation of samples subjected to IDED under 1050℃ preheating with and without hot isostatic pressing(HIP,1190℃,105 MPa,and 3 h).Results show tha. the as-deposited sample mainly consisted of epitaxial columnar crystals and inhomogeneously distributed γ’ pha.es in interdendritic and dendritic core *** HIP,grain morphology cha.ged negligibly,whereas the size of the γ’ pha.e became increasingly *** further heat treatment(HT,1070℃,2 h + 845℃,24 h),the γ’ pha.e in the as-deposited and HIPed samples presented a bimodal size distribution,whereas tha. in the as-deposited sample showed a size tha. remained *** comparison of tensile properties revealed tha. the tensile strength and uniform elongation of the HIP + HTed sample increased by 5% and 46%,respectively,due to the synergistic deformation of bimodal γ’pha.es,especially large cubic γ’ ***,the relationship between pha.e transformations and plastic deformations in the IDEDed sample was discussed on the basis of generalized stability theory in terms of the trade-off between thermodynamics and kinetics.

Parametric resonance of axially functionally graded pipes conveying pulsating fluid
