Our understanding of the nervous tissues tha. affect the wing flapping of insects mainly focuses on the brain,but wing flapping is a rhythmic movement related to the central pattern generator in the ventral nerve *** verify whether the neural activity of the abdominal ganglion of the honeybee(Apis mellifera)affects the flapping-wing flight,we profiled the response cha.acteristics of indirect flight muscles to abdominal ganglion ***,a cha.ge in the neural activity of ganglion 3 or ganglion 4 ha. a stronger effect on the electrophysiological activity of indirect flight muscles tha. tha. of ganglion *** electrophysiological activity of vertical indirect flight muscles is affected more by the cha.ge in neural activity of the abdominal ganglion tha. tha. of lateral indirect flight ***,the cha.ge in neural activity of the abdominal ganglion mainly causes the cha.ge in the muscular activity of indirect wing muscles,but the activity patterns cha.ge relatively little and there is little cha.ge in the complicated *** work improves our understanding of the neuroregulatory mecha.isms associated with the flapping-wing flight of honeybees.

We estimate tree heights using polarimetric interferometric synthetic aperture radar(PolInSAR)data constructed by the dual-polarization(dual-pol)SAR data and random volume over the ground(RVoG)*** the Sentinel-1 SAR dual-pol(SVV,vertically transmitted and vertically received and SVH,vertically transmitted and horizontally received)configuration,one notes tha. We report the magnetostrictive performance of the Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy *** of M?ssbauer spectra and the XRD results indicate tha. the easy magnetic direction of the Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)compound is alongdirection with spontaneous magnetostrictionλ111 of1900 ***-oriented Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composites with particle volume fractions of20 vol%-55 vol%were *** measurements demonstrate tha. the composite is highly *** raw material cost of Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)is about 85%of tha. of the Terfenol-D(Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.7)Fe_(2))***_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composites possess comparable magnetostriction with those composites made of Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.7)Fe_(2)*** room temperature,the magnetostrictionλ_Ⅱof the Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composite reaches 420 ppm at a low field of 80 kA/m and about1000 ppm at 239 kA/*** addition,the composite exhibits a large saturation magnetostrictionλ_Ⅱover1200 ppm from 300 to 100 K,suggesting its potential applications as a low-cost magnetostrictive material in a wide temperature ***,the current study offers an opportunity to widen the operating temperature range of the magnetostrictive composite.

In this study,a human-sensitive frequency band vibration isolator(HFBVI)with quasi-zero stiffness(QZS)cha.acteristics for heavy-duty truck seats is designed to improve the comfort of heavy-duty truck drivers on uneven ***,the analytical expressions for the force and displacement of the HFBVI are derived with the Lagrange equation and d'Alembert's principle,and are validated through the prototype restoring force ***,the ha.monic balance method(HBM)is used to obtain the dynamic responses under ha.monic excitation,and further the influence of pre-stretching on the dynamic cha.acteristics and transmissibility is ***,the experimental prototype of the HFBVI is fabricated,and vibration experiments are conducted under ha.monic excitation to verify the vibration isolation performance(VIP)of the proposed vibration *** experimental results indicate tha. the HFBVI can effectively suppress the frequency band(4-8 Hz)to which the human body is sensitive to vertical *** addition,under real random road spectrum excitation,the HFBVI can achieve low-frequency vibration isolation close to 2 Hz,providing new prospects for ensuring the health of heavy-duty truck drivers.

To date,few models are available in the literature to consider the creep beha.ior of geosynthetics when predicting the lateral deformation(d)of geosynthetics-reinforced soil(GRS)retaining *** this study,a general hyperbolic creep model was first introduced to describe the long-term deformation of geosynthetics,which is a function of elapsed time and two empirical parameters a and *** conventional creep tests with three different tensile loads(Pr)were conducted on two uniaxial geogrids to determine their creep beha.ior,as well as the a-Pr and b-Pr *** test results show tha. increasing Pr accelerates the development of creep deformation for both ***,a and b respectively show exponential and negatively linear relationships with Pr,which were confirmed by abundant experimental data available in other *** on the above creep model and relationships,an accurate and reliable analytical model was then proposed for predicting the time-dependent d of GRS walls with modular block facing,which was further validated using a relevant numerical investigation from the previous *** evaluation and comparison of the proposed model with six available prediction models were *** a parametric study was carried out to evaluate the effects of wall height,vertical spacing of geogrids,unit weight and internal friction angle of backfills,and factor of safety against pullout on d at the end of construction and 5 years *** findings show tha. the creep effect not only promotes d but also raises the elevation of the maximum d along the wall ***,the limitations and application prospects of the proposed model were discussed and analyzed.

After a century of standstill,bacteria-based tumor therapy ha. resurged recently benefiting from the revolution of tumor immunotherapy,which provides unique solutions to tackle the obstacles of traditional tumor *** and facultative anaerobes with active tropism can selectively colonize at tumor sites and suppress tumor growth via different mecha.isms,serving as attractive tools for tumor treatment either as a monotherapy or combining with other therapies for synergistic anti-tumor *** this critical review,we introduce the recent advances of bacteria-based tumor therapy from the following ***,the general properties of bacteria are reviewed empha.izing on their structural components related to tumor immunotherapy,and the main bacteria tha. ha.e been used in tumor therapy are ***,the benefits of bacteria for tumor therapy are illustrated,such as tumor targetability,deep penetration,and facile genetic engineering for attenuation,enha.ced efficacy,as well as ***,anti-tumor mecha.isms of bacteria are summarized,which refer to intrinsic tumoricidal activities,immune activation,bacteria metabolism,and their capability to regulate gut microbiota ***,bacteria could act as carriers to deliver various types of therapeutics to achieve combination therapy with improved *** addition,several cha.lenges for anti-tumor applications of bacteria are discussed regarding the delivery,efficacy and safety issues,and potential solutions are also ***,the possible improvements and perspectives are discussed in the end,which provide a guideline for the design of advanced bacteria-based tumor therapeutics in the future.
