New antimicrobial strategies are urgently needed to meet the challenges posed by the emergence of drug-resistant bacteria and bacterial *** work reports the facile synthesis of antimicrobial dynamic covalent nano-networks(aDCNs)composing antibiotics bearing multiple primary amines,polyphenols,and a cross-linker acylphenylboronic ***,the iminoboronate bond drives the formation of aDCNs,facilitates their stability,and renders them highly responsive to stimuli,such as low pH and high H2O2 ***,the representative A1B1C1 networks,composed of polymyxin B1(A1),2-formylphenylboronic acid(B1),and quercetin(C1),inhibit biofilm formation of drug-resistant Escherichia coli,eliminate the mature biofilms,alleviate macrophage inflammation,and minimize the side effects of free *** bacterial eradication and inflammation amelioration efficiency of A1B1C1 networks are also observed in a peritoneal infection *** facile synthesis,excellent antimicrobial performance,and biocompatibility of these aDCNs potentiate them as a much-needed alternative in current antimicrobial pipelines.

Competitive Complexation of Copper and Zinc by Sequentially Extracted Humic Substances from Manure Compost

Chicken manure with similar content of copper and zinc was changes of organic carbon and humus substance complexed chosen to conduct a composting experiment to investigate the copper （HS-Cu） and zinc （HS-Zn）, which were extracted by water （H2O）, sodium hydroxide （NaOH）, and sodium pyrophate-NaOH mixture （Na4P2O7-NaOH）, sequentially. Distributions of copper and zinc in fulvic acids （FA） and humic acids （ha） in the three extracts were studied. During manure composting, the concentrations of copper and zinc increased from about 500 mg kg^-1 in the raw material to 1 100 mg kg^-1 in the final products. HS-Cu in H2O, NaOH, and Na4P2O7-NaOH extracts occupied 6.7, 26.7, and 19% averagely of total copper and HS-Zn represented 2.7, 13.7, and 17% averagely of total zinc in compost, respectively. In water extracts, both ha and FA mainly complexed with Cu and the mole ratio of Cu to Zn was 2.8 in ha fractions and was 2.6 in FA fractions, respectively. ha mainly complexed with copper, so that the ratios of ha-Cu to ha-Zn averaged 3.4 in NaOH extracts. FA had a similar potential to complex with copper and zinc, so that the ratio of FA-Cu to FA-Zn was close to 1. In Na4P2O7-NaOH extracts, ha or FA had a similar potential to complex with copper and zinc. The ratio of HS-Cu to HS-Zn was close to 1. With manure composting, Na4P2O7-NaOH extractable HS-Zn increased to a level as high as HS-Cu. This indicated that more and more stable complexes of HS-Zn were formed in the late decomposition period. The competition between copper and zinc to be complexed with humic substance became weaker and weaker with the decomposition process.

Our aim was to evaluate the quality of ejaculated and epididymal frozen-thawed pig sperm of endangered Vietnam native pig breeds. Ejaculated sperm was collected from live boars and epididymal sperm was collected from slaughtered boars of the MuongTe, Kieng Sat and Co BinhThuan breeds and frozen in 0.25 ml straws using a protocol established earlier for modern pig breeds. We evaluated the sperm quality after thawing in terms of motility and rates of viable and abnormal spermatozoa. Our results revealed that the sperm motility and rates of viable and abnormal frozen-thawed sperm were >30%, >44%, and had an effect on the production of pig embryos in vitro. In the Co BinhThuan breed, ejaculated sperm generated higher cleavage, blastocyst and hatching rates than did the epididymal sperm (60.11% vs 56.02%, 17.23% vs 14.31%, 3.78% vs 2.34%, respectively, P hatching blastocyst rate was different between the breeds (P > 0.05). In the Co BinhThuan breed, the rate of pregnancy of ejaculated groups was similar to that of the epididymal group. In conclusion, the ejaculated and epididymal sperm of native Vietnamese pigs were successfully frozen. We succeeded in creating embryos in vitro and pregnant pigs after artificial insemination from frozen-thawed semen in three native Vietnamese pig breeds for the first time. The use of the ejaculated sperm improved the production of native pig embryos in vitro efficiency.

Fragrant rice has a high market value,and it is a popular rice type among consumers owing to its pleasant *** methods,nitrogen(N)fertilizers,and silicon(Si)fertilizers can affect the grain yield and fragrance of fragrant ***,the core commercial rice production attributes,namely the head rice yield(HRY)and 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline(2-AP)content of fragrant rice,under various nitrogen and silicon(N-Si)fertilization levels and different plantation methods remain *** field experiment in this study was performed in the early seasons of 2018 and 2019 with two popular indica fragrant rice cultivars(Yuxiangyouzhan and Xiangyaxiangzhan).They were grown under six N-Si fertilization treatments(combinations of two levels of Si fertilizer,0 kg Si ha^(−1)(Si0)and 150 kg Si ha^(−1)(Si1),and three levels of N fertilizer,0 kg N ha^(−1)(N0),150 kg N ha^(−1)(N1),and 220 kg N ha^(−1)(N2))and three plantation methods(artificial transplanting(AT),mechanical transplanting(MT),and mechanical direct-seeding(MD)).The results showed that the N-Si fertilization treatments and all the plantation methods significantly affected the HRY and 2-AP content and related parameters of the two different fragrant rice *** with the Si0N0 treatment,the N-Si fertilization treatments resulted in higher HRY and 2-AP *** rates of brown rice,milled rice,head rice,and chalky rice of the fragrant rice also improved with the N-Si fertilization *** N-Si fertilization treatments increased the activities of N metabolism enzymes and the accumulation of N and Si in various parts of the fragrant rice,and affected their antioxidant response *** key parameters for the HRY and 2-AP content were assessed by redundancy ***,the structural equation model revealed that the Si and N accumulation levels indirectly affected the HRY by affecting the N metabolism enzyme activity,N use efficiency,and grain quality of fragrant ***,high N

目的研究绿茶提取物（GTE）及其主要成分表没食子儿茶素没食子酸酯（EGCG）干预对人乳头瘤病毒16（HPV-16）癌蛋白（E6和E7）诱导的人宫颈癌C-33A细胞缺氧诱导因子1α（HIF-1α）和血管内皮生长因子（VEGF）表达的影响。方法将宫颈癌细胞分为瞬时转染空质粒ha-pSG5（空质粒组）、ha-pSG5-HPV-16E6质粒（16E6组）、16E7质粒（16E7组）和模拟转染组，转染后18、24和48h以蛋白质印迹法检测各组细胞HIF-1α蛋白的表达，酶联免疫吸附试验检测VEGF蛋白的表达。转染后24h，分别用不同浓度GTE或EGCG处理16E6、16E7组细胞不同时间，并设未用GTE或EGCG处理组（未干预组），同法检测各组细胞HIF-10α和VEGF蛋白的表达，实时PCR检测HIF-1α和VEGF mRNA的表达。结果转染后24h，16E6和16E7组细胞HIF-10L蛋白表达明显增加；VEGF蛋白分别为（870166）、（1487±51）pg／ml，均明显高于空质粒组[（366±65）pg／ml，均P〈0．01]。40μg/ml GTE或50μmol／L EGCG处理16h即可明显抑制16E6、16E7组细胞HIF-1α蛋白表达；16E6组VEGF蛋白分别为（476±34）、（477±65）pg／ml，VEGF mRNA分别为1．208±0．196、1．174±0．208，均明显低于未干预组[分别为（870±66）pg／ml、1．805±0．081，均P〈0．01）；16E7组VEGF蛋白分别为（649±55）、（514±37）pg／ml，VEGF mRNA分别为1．442±0．136、1．399±0．064，均明显低于未干预组[分别为（1487±51）pg／ml、2．123±0．120，均P〈0．01）。80μg／mlGTE或100μmol／I。EGCG对VEGF蛋白表达的抑制作用明显强于40μg／ml GTE或50μmol／LEGCG（均P〈0．01）。结论GTE和EGCG对HPV-16癌蛋白诱导的人宫颈癌细胞HIF-1α蛋白、VEGF蛋白及mRNA表达具有明硅抑制作用，其中对VEGF蛋白表达的抑制作用呈明显的剂量依赖性。

Hypocrellin A（ ha）, a photosensitive perylenequinone compound of Hypocrella bambusae, inhibited the proliferation of several tumor cell lines. Human cervical cancer cells, HeLa ceils, were used as a model to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of ha-induced tumor cell death. The results show that ha can induce the oligonucleosomal fragmentation of DNA in HeLa cells and also can increase the expression of apoptosis inducer Bax mRNA and that it decreases the expression of apoptosis suppressor, Bcl-2 mRNA, in mitochondria. It can be concluded from the data that ha-induced apoptosis is related to the balance between Bcl-2 and Bax gene expressions.

A polymethyltrimethoxysilane（PMTMS）/hydroxyapatite（ha） hybrid coating was successfully fabricated on a magnesium alloy by hydrothermal treatment and immersion method. The microstructure and composition of the coating were characterized by using X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron *** physical properties were investigated using scratch testing. At the same time, the corrosion resistance was evaluated via electrochemical and immersion tests. The results demonstrated that the corrosion resistance of the silane hybrid coating was significantly enhanced compared with the naked magnesium alloy. Especially, the corrosion current density of the PMTMS/ha magnesium alloy was three orders of magnitude lower than that of the bare material.
