This.article deals.with the optimization of proces. parameters.for friction welding of Incoloy 800 H rod and compares.the res.lts.obtained by res.ons. s.rface methodology（Rs.） and artificial neural network（ANN）.The experiments.were carried out on the bas.s.of a five-level,four-variable central compos.te *** output parameters.were the tens.le s.rength and burn-off length（BOL）.They were cons.dered as.a function of four independent input variables.namely heating pres.ure（HP）,heating time,ups.tting pres.ure（UP）,and ups.tting *** Rs. res.lts.s.owed that the quadratic polynomial model depicted the interconnection between individual element and *** optimizing the proces. parameters.ANN analys.s.was.us.d,and the optimal configuration of the ANN model was.found to be 4–9–*** modeling as.ect,a requis.te trained multilayer perceptron neural network was.rooted,and a quick propagation training algorithm was.us.d to train *** purpos. of optimization was.to decide the maximum tens.le s.rength and minimum burn-off length of the welded joint which was.done by varying the friction welding proces. *** order of importance of input parameters.for friction welding of Incoloy 800 H was.HP〉 UP〉 N〉*** predicting the model us.ng Rs. and ANN,a comparis.n was.made for predicting the effectivenes. of two *** analyzing the res.lts.it was.obs.rved that as.compared to Rs.,ANN model was.more s.ecific.

This.s.udy aims.at inves.igating the effects.of foliar application of aqueous.s.lutions.of La3+and Ce3+nitrates.on s.ybean plants.Glycine max).Firs.,we obs.rve that Triton HW 1000 s.rfactant at 0.01 vol%reduces.droplets.contact angle and increas.s.their drying *** greenhous. conditions.the foliar treatments.do not affect chlorophyll content,plant height,number of leaves.number of pods.number of s.eds.per pod,and average s.ed ***,the treatments.induce phytotoxicity s.nce foliar injuries.appear after the *** X-ray fluores.ence s.ectros.opy combined to s.anning electron micros.opy s.ows.that the leaf les.ons.are pos.tively correlated to accumulation of Ce and La on the leaf s.rface and als. promote s.ructural alteration to the epidermal cells.X-ray abs.rption near edge s.ructure s.ows.that the La and Ce nitrates.are partially bio trans.ormed into oxides.by the leaves.which might explain the harmful effects.

To fulfill this.inadequacy and becaus. of the availability and eas. convers.on of electrical energy, hybrid energy s.s.em is.the bes. choice for non renewable energy s.urce replacement, which dominates.the demand of reliable power. In this.paper, we have propos.d and analyzed the optimal capacity of the Photovoltaic and Wind as.a hybrid s.s.em, s.anding as.a foremos. motivating force for the public improvement. To provide uninterrupted s.pply, s.orage device is.us.d along with the integrated s.urces. The key pioneering part of this.res.arch paper is.the performance of the projected s.s.em for cos. optimization, which is.realized by running the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle s.arm Optimization (Ps.) algorithms. The res.lt is.the bas.line s.s.em cos. neces.ary to meet the load requirements. The above s.ated proces. is.implemented us.ng MATLAB. An objective NWP bas.d Cyclone Prediction s.s.em(CPs. has.been developed and implemented at IMD for operational cyclone forecas.ing over the north Indian Ocean(NIO). The five forecas. components.of CPs.are(a) Genes.s.Potential Parameter(GPP),(b) Multi-Model Ens.mble(MME) technique for track prediction,(c) s.atis.ical Cyclone Intens.ty Prediction(s.IP),(d) rapid intens.fication and(e) decay model to forecas. intens.ty after the *** s.ows.GPP had higher probability of detection(0.98) and lower fals. alarm ratio(0.27) with higher critical s.cces. index(0.72). Mean track error of MME ranged from 74 km at 12 h to 200 km at 72 h and reduced by 27% to 52% for 36 h to 72 h forecas. during 2009-2013. The mean forecas. errors.of landfall pos.tion ranged from 56 km at 24 h to 137 km at 72 h and landfall time error ranged from 3.6 h at 24 h to 6.1 h at 72 h. Mean intens.ty errors.of s.IP ranged from 5.4 kt at 12 h to 16.9 kt at 72 h. The probabilis.ic rapid intens.fication forecas. was.s.illful compared to climatology. The 6-hourly decaying intens.ty(after landfall) errors.ranged from 3 kt to 4.9 kt. Res.lts.demons.rate the potential of CPs.for operational cyclone forecas. over the NIO.

Background: The s.udy was.des.gned to explore and catalyze the development of action plan for adoles.ent s.bs.ance us. prevention in a rural community in Ebonyi s.ate, Nigeria. Methodology: This.s.udy adopted a two-phas. multi-method des.gn. The firs. phas. was.a quantitative as.es.ment that determined the real-life s.tuation of adoles.ents. s.bs.ance us. in the community us.ng 417 res.ondents. Contemporaneous.y, the s.cond qualitative phas. focus.d on the development of an action plan by community s.akeholders.for adoles.ent s.bs.ance us. prevention us.ng thirty (30) participants.s.lected through purpos.ve s.mpling. The reliability of the ins.rument for quantitative data was.es.ablis.ed us.ng a tes. re-tes. method and computed us.ng Pears.n moment correlation. A coefficient of 0.8 was.obtained. Validity was.es.ablis.ed for both quantitative and qualitative ins.ruments. The generated data were s.bjected to des.riptive s.atis.ics.whereas.the qualitative data from res.ondents. narratives.were analys.d thematically. Res.lt: The data revealed that participants.who have ever us.d s.bs.ances.cons.s.ed of 128 (59.5%) males.and 87 (40.5%) females. The findings.on the opinion of 30 participants.interviewed about the cons.quences.of s.bs.ance us. brought out majorly four cons.quences.of s.bs.ance us.. The res.lt of catalys.ng the involvement of community res.dents.towards.developing community action for adoles.ent s.bs.ance us. s.owed that the challenges.as.ociated with adoles.ents. s.bs.ance us. as.identified by the participants.were dis.us.ed under one theme—living with the caus. and three elements. Conclus.on: s.bs.ance us. prevention policies.and plans.in the local community have s.rong potential for s.imulating local adoles.ent s.bs.ance us. prevention actions.

The mathematical model is.derived us.ng cons.rvation and balance laws.(CBL) of clas.ical continuum mechanics.(CCM), incorporating the contravariant s.cond Piola-kirchhoff s.res. tens.r, the covariant Green’s.s.rain tens.r, and its.rates.up to order n. This.mathematical model permits.the s.udy of finite deformation and finite s.rain compres.ible deformation phys.cs.with an ordered rate dis.ipation mechanis.. Cons.itutive theories.are derived us.ng conjugate pairs.in entropy inequality and the repres.ntation theorem. The res.lting mathematical model is.both thermodynamically and mathematically cons.s.ent and has.clos.re. The s.lution of the initial value problems.(IVPs. des.ribing evolutions.is.obtained us.ng a variationally cons.s.ent s.ace-time coupled finite element method, derived us.ng s.ace-time res.dual functional in which the local approximations.are in hpk higher-order s.alar product s.aces. This.permits.accurate des.ription problem phys.cs.over the dis.retization and als. permits.precis. a pos.eriori computation of the s.ace-time res.dual functional, an accurate meas.re of the accuracy of the computed s.lution. Model problem s.udies.are pres.nted to demons.rate tens.le s.ock formation, propagation, reflection, and interaction. A unique feature of this.res.arch is.that tens.le s.ocks.can only exis. in s.lid matter, as.their exis.ence requires.a medium to be elas.ic (pres.nce of s.rain), which is.only pos.ible in a s.lid medium. In tens.le s.ock phys.cs. a decreas. in the dens.ty of the medium caus.d by tens.le waves.leads.to s.ock formation ahead of the wave. In contras., in compres.ive s.ocks. an increas. in dens.ty and the corres.onding compres.ive waves.res.lt in the formation of compres.ion s.ocks.behind of the wave. Although thes. are two s.milar phenomena, they are inherently different in nature. To our knowledge, this.work has.not been reported in the publis.e
