In recent years,the expansion of renewable energy in electric power systems has been increasing at such a rapid pace that it has started affecting frequency *** generators connected to the grid produce variable amounts of power,and in most cases have no inherent inertia response(IR)to the system ***,the high penetration of renewable generators in the system results in low inertia and frequency *** renewable generators account for a high proportion of the supply in a power system,the use of energy storage systems(ESSs)with frequency-support algorithms(in the place of synchronous generators)can stabilize the *** participation of ESSs in frequency support must be organized precisely,so that they are fully devoted to their own *** this paper,the frequency-support parameters of ESSs are calculated for achieving stable frequency response from a *** estimation and calibration process is conducted during the active power-order change of the ESSs in the substation,and is verified through electromagnetic-transients-including-DC(EMTDC)-based simulations.

Nephrotic syndrome(NS)is a kidney disease characterized by hypertriglyceridemia,massive proteinuria,hypo-albuminemia and peripheral ***-gamibang(SKHGMB)was recorded in a traditional Chinese medical book named“Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)”and its three prescriptions Sinkihwan,Geumgwe-sinkihwan,and Jesaeng-sinkihwan belong to *** study confirmed the effect of SKHGMB on renal dysfunction in an NS model induced by puromycin aminonucleoside(PAN).The experimental NS model was induced in male Sprague Dawley(SD)rats through injection of PAN(50 mg·kg^(-1))via the femoral *** not only reduced the size of the kidneys increased due to PAN-induced NS,but also decreased proteinuria and *** addition,SKHGMB significantly ameliorated creatinine clearance,creatinine,and blood urea *** relieved glomeruli dilation and tubules fibrosis in the glomeruli of the NS *** inhibited the protein and mRNA levels of the NLRP3 inflammasome including NLRP3,ASC,and pro-caspase-1 in NS *** reduced the protein and mRNA levels of fibrosis regulators in NS *** results indicated that SKHGMB exerts protective effects against renal dysfunction by inhibiting of renal inflammation and fibrosis in NS rats.

To develop a convenient food formulation for supplying antioxidants,hyaluronic acid(HA)-based orally dis-integrating film(ODF)containing vitamin C(Vit C)and catechin(CAT)with various molar ratios(Vit C:CAT,1:0,1:0.2,1:0.4,1:0.6,1:0.8 and 1:1.0,by name of CAT0,CAT0.2,CAT0.4,CAT0.6,CAT0.8 and CAT1.0,respec-tively)were prepared,and the physico-chemical,and sensory properties of the films were *** addition,the release properties of the Vit C and CAT in the films were also *** the results,there was no sig-nificant difference in the moisture content among the films,but the thickness significantly increased with the CAT *** water vapor permeability(WVP)started decreasing at *** texture,the addition of CAT decreased tensile strength,and showed inverse relationship with film *** higher the CAT content was,the more brittle and fragile the texture obtained *** vitamin C content in the film significantly decreased as the CAT content increased,whereas the antioxidant effects continued to increase with CAT *** a sensory evaluation,CAT0.2 was the most preferred,followed by CAT0 and CAT0.4,and for those samples containing over 0.6 M ratio CAT,the acceptability dramatically *** on the above results,the most suitable molar ratio of Vit C:CAT was 1:*** a result of the analysis of the release pattern of the optimized ODF(CAT0.4),both Vit C and CAT exhibited rapid release of over 70%within 30 and 20 min,respectively,in all simulated body *** the prepared ODF can be considered as a suitable delivery formulation for convenient and fast-acting antioxidant.

The low-temperature physical vapor deposition process of atomically thin two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide(2D TMD) has been gaining attention owing to the cost-effective production of diverse electrochemical catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) applications. We, herein, propose a simple route toward the cost-effective physical vapor deposition process of 2D WSe2 layered nanofilms as HER electrochemical catalysts using RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature(<27℃). By controlling the variable sputtering parameters, such as RF power and deposition time, the loading amount and electrochemical surface area(ECSA) of WSe2 films deposited on carbon paper can be carefully determined. The surface of the sputtered WSe2 films are partially oxidized, which may cause spherical-shaped particles. Regardless of the loading amount of WSe2, Tafel slopes of WSe2 electrodes in the HER test are narrowly distributed to be ~120–138 mV dec-1, which indicates the excellent reproducibility of intrinsic catalytic activity. By considering the trade-off between the loading amount and ECSA, the best HER performance is clearly observed in the 200 W-15 min sample with an overpotential of 220 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2. Such a simple sputtering method at low temperature can be easily expanded to other 2D TMD electrochemical catalysts, promising potentially practical electrocatalysts.

A Gd-doped ceria（GDC） buffer layer is required between a conventional yttria-stabilized zirconia（YSZ） electrolyte and a La-Sr-Co-Fe-O3（LSCF） cathode to prevent their chemical reaction. In this study,the effect of varying the conditions for fabricating the GDC buffer layer, such as sintering temperature and amount of sintering aid, on the solid oxide fuel cell（SOFC） performance was investigated. A finer GDC powder（i.e., ultra-high surface area）, a higher sintering temperature（1290℃）, and a larger amount of sintering aid（12%） resulted in improved densification of the buffer layer; however, the electrochemical performance of an anode-supported cell containing this GDC buffer layer was poor. These conflicting results are attributed to the formation of（Zr, Ce）O2 and/or excess cobalt grain boundaries（GBs） at higher sintering temperatures with a large amount of sintering aid（i.e., cobalt oxide）. A cell comprising of a cobalt-free GDC buffer layer, which was fabricated using a low-temperature process, had lower cell resistance and higher stability. The results indicate that electrochemical performance and stability of SOFCs strongly depend on fabrication conditions for the GDC buffer layer.

AIM:To investigate the association between juvenile open angle glaucoma(JOAG)and mental health among ***:This study used nationally representative data from the 8th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES)*** diagnosis followed the International Society of Geographical and Epidemiological Ophthalmology criteria based on glaucomatous structural defects,visual field defects,corrected vision,and intraocular *** outcomes,suicidal behaviors,psychiatric counseling,and depression were evaluated through mental health *** ratios(ORs)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs)were estimated using logistic regression models,adjusting for ***:Among 7090 participants,3446 met the inclusion criteria for analysis,and 88(2.6%)were diagnosed with open angle glaucoma(OAG).After adjusting for age,sex,and best-corrected visual acuity(VA),participants with OAG were revealed to have significantly higher odds of suicidal behaviors(i.e.,ideation,planning,or attempts)compared with those without OAG(OR:2.70;95%CI:1.12-6.54;P=0.028).This association remained significant after further adjustments for socioeconomic status,lifestyle factors,and presence of chronic conditions(P=0.031 and 0.035,respectively).However,there was no significant difference for the other two outcomes,psychiatric counseling and *** age-stratified analysis revealed a stronger association between OAG and suicidal behaviors in younger JOAG participants(<40y)than in older OAG participants(≥40y;OR:3.80 vs 2.22;95%CI:0.79-18.22 vs 0.56-8.80,respectively).CONCLUSION:OAG patients show a higher risk of suicidal behaviors than those without glaucoma particularly in JOAG patients.

This work reports that the intensity ratio of spectral lines having similar self-absorption characteristics during laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) analysis can become nearly constant over a wide range of irradiation conditions if the intensities are integrated over a sufficiently long time. It is shown that the plasma temperature and intensity ratio of these spectral lines have temporal similarity. The spectral lines with similar self-absorption properties may be selected to improve the accuracy and consistency of LIBS analysis results under an environment with fluctuating measurement conditions.
