It has been confirmed that microplastics(MPs)are present in the *** study simulated secondary PE-MPs via aging and mechanical processes to evaluate their effects on Pak choi(Brassica rapa L.)over 21 *** common pollutants,dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane(DDT)and naphthalene,were used in the combined toxicity *** results indicated that the growth of Pak choi was significantly inhibited after exposure to secondary PE-MPs,and the combined effects were antagonistic,owing to the adsorption capacity of secondary PE-MPs to DDT and *** stress in Pak choi can be markedly affected,leading to oxidative damage to plant *** moisture content,soil bulk density,soil density,cation exchange capacity(CEC),and FDA hydrolase in the planted soils increased in the treated groups,and the TOC content changed *** also found that the microbial composition of the soil in the DDT and naphthalene groups showed more significant alterations than that in the other *** diversity analysis showed that species diversity increased in the combined groups but indicated a clear downward trend in the single MPs *** study suggests that secondary PE-MPs harm the growth of Pak choi and can change soil properties,revealing the harm to the ecosystem of MPs in the soil.

With the continued shrinking of the critical dimensions(CDs)of wafer patterning,the requirements for modeling precision in optical proximity correction(OPC)increase *** requirement extends beyond CD controlling accuracy to include pattern alignment accuracy because misalignment can lead to considerable overlay and metal-via coverage issues at advanced nodes,affecting process window and *** paper proposes an efficient OPC modeling approach that prioritizes pattern-shift-related elements to tackle the issue *** method integrates careful measurement selection,the implementation of pattern-shift-aware structures in design,and the manipulation of the cost function during model tuning to establish a robust *** experiments are performed on a via layer fabricated using a negative tone *** demonstrate that pattern shifts can be constrained within a range of+1 nm,remarkably better than the original range of±3 ***,simulations reveal notable differences between post OPC and original masks when considering pattern shifts at locations sensitive to this *** validation confirms the accuracy of the proposed modeling approach,and a firm consistency is observed between the simulation results and experimental data obtained from actual design structures.

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)based on metallic Li exhibit high energy density to be competent for advanced energy storage ***,the unstable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)layer due to continuous decomposition of electrolytes,and the attendant problem of Li dendrite growth frustrate their commercialization ***,a hybrid SEI comprising abundant LiF,lithiophilic Li-Ge alloy,and Ge nanoparticles is constructed via a simple brush coating *** fluorinated interface layer with embedded Ge-containing components isolates the Li anode from the corrosive electrolyte and facilitates homogenous Li nucleation as well as uniform ***,the modified Li anode exhibits remarkable stability without notorious Li dendrites,delivering stable cycling lives of more than 1000 h for symmetric Li||Li cells and over 600 cycles for Li||Cu cells at 1 mA·cm^(−2).Moreover,the reinforced Li anodes endow multiple full-cell architectures with dramatically improved cyclability under different test *** work provides rational guidance to design an artificial hybrid SEI layer and would stimulate more ideas to solve the dendrite issue and promote the further development of advanced LMBs.

Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs)have attracted widespread concern due to their high toxicity,and their difficult manipulation in laboratories has made the research process ***,in our work,furan is selected as the model compound owing to the same structure of a central oxygenate *** catalytic oxidation is regarded as an effective and applicable method for the abatement of PCDD/Fs,the synthesis of low-temperature catalysts is still a challenging problem in practical *** this situation,we prepared a novel V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)catalyst modified with N-doped hierarchical porous carbon(NHPC)via a wet impregnation *** V/T-1%NHPC catalyst could achieve expectant low-temperature performances with 50%furan conversion at 150℃and a complete conversion at 200℃,which decreased 23℃and 40℃compared to the V/T catalyst ***,the addition of NHPC presented lifting chemical stability during long-time *** addition of NHPC in V/T catalysts decreased the formation of crystalline V_(2)O_(5) and increased the percentages of V^(5+)and O_(lat),which improved the utilization of vanadium ions and the catalytic ***,the higher binding energy shift of O_(lat) implied more reaction possibility with other oxidise ***,this work proved the lifting catalytic activity by the interaction between catalysts and NHPC,and proposed the promoting effects of the N *** results showed that the content of the pyridinic N and graphitic N in NHPC changed after combining with V/T catalyst,which played crucial roles in the excellent catalytic ***,this work provides comprehensive research of the V/T-1%NHPC catalyst toward furan oxidation at low temperature and explain the effects of N-doped biomass carbon in catalytic activity clearly,which gave a new thought to design low-temperature catalysts in PCDD/Fs ***,the internal functional mech

The widespread use of feed additives in intensive and large-scale pig farming has resulted in high levels of heavy metals in pig *** long-term application of organic fertilizers containing high levels of heavy metals leads to the accumulation of heavy metals in the soil,which not only causes heavy metal pollution in the soil,and also affect food safety and endanger human *** is an economical and effective technical measures to achieve environmentally-sustainable treatment of pig manure and is a practical method to reduce the problem of heavy metals and to improve the resource value of pig *** composting process is accompanied by high temperatures and the production and emission of gases,and also lead to changes in the nitrogen content of the compost and provide opportunity for heavy metal passivation *** paper summarizes the forms and types of heavy metals present in pig manure and reviews the progress of research as well as the techniques and problems of in the composting process,and provides recommendations for research on heavy metal passivation and nitrogen retention in pig manure composting.

Network-assisted full-duplex(NAFD) cell-free distributed massive multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO) systems enable uplink(UL) and downlink(DL) communications within the same timefrequency resources,which potentially reduce latency by avoiding the overhead of switching UL/DL ***,how to choose UL/DL modes remains an important factor affecting system *** the dramatic increase in the number of users and access points(APs),massive access brings significant overhead in the mode ***,the different quality of service(QoS) among users also makes the effective utilization of resources *** one of the most promising technologies in sixth-generation(6G),network slicing enables the adaptive configuration of limited UL/DL resources through the resource isolation assisted NAFD ***,we propose a slicing capacity-centered *** this scheme,APs are motivated by slicing requirements and associated slices to form different *** mode selection and resource allocation are performed within each subsystem to reduce overhead and improve resource *** implement this scheme efficiently,a double-layer deep reinforcement learning(DRL)mechanism is used to realize the joint optimization of mode selection and resource *** results show that the slicing capacity-centered scheme can effectively improve resource utilization and reduce overhead.

Multifunctional polyeugenol-based nanoparticles with antioxidant and antibacterial properties

Over the past few decades,extensive scientific has been dedicated to polymer synthesis employing renewable *** this study,we devised and synthesized multifunctional polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,exhibiting remarkable antioxidant and antibacterial *** grafting of eugenol onto the nanoparticle surface was achieved via a thiol-ene chemical reaction with a grafting rate of 3.5%.To comprehend the properties of the synthesized nanoparticles,we employed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and pyrolysis-gas chromatography mass *** scanning electron microscopic and transmission electron microscopic analyses revealed the presence of a crosslinked structure within the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,as well as a heteroge-neous microsphere structure on the *** to the inherent crosslinking structure,the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles demonstrated robust the resistance to solvents,as ascertained through thermog-ravimetric analysis and solvent resistance ***,nitrogen adsorption/desorption studies confirmed the adsorption capacity of the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,rendering them potentially suitable for drug transport ***,the assays for assessing cytocompatibility and reactive oxygen species scavenging activities demonstrated better performance of the eugenol-based nano-particles compared to ***,the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles exhibited certain bactericidal activities against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,and Fusobacterium ***,these observations indicated the nontoxic nature and expansive application prospects of the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles in the domains of medicine and food *** work presented a pioneering concept for the development of antioxidant and antibacterial multifunctional polymer materials derived from eugenol.
