Five tec.onic.modes of mantle c.nvec.ion are obtained and analyzed with three-dimensional numeric.l models in a sp.eric.l shell domain. The five tec.onic.c.nvec.ive modes are non-p.ate mobile-lid, p.ate-like mobile-lid, ep.sodic.p.ate-like mobile-lid, ep.sodic.stagnant-lid, and stagnant-lid c.nvec.ive modes, resp.c.ively. The typ.c.l c.arac.eristic. of these five tec.onic.modes and their numeric.l c.assific.tion c.iteria based on p.ateness, mobility, and their standard deviations are p.esented and disc.ssed. The results show that the yield stress of the lithosp.ere has p.ofound effec.s on the tec.onic.c.nvec.ive *** the gradual inc.ease of yield stress, the tec.onic.mode of mantle c.nvec.ion c.anges from one to another sequentially through the aforementioned five modes. Additionally, as the Rayleigh number inc.eases, the range of yield stress for the p.atelike mobile-lid c.nvec.ive mode dec.eases, and the dimensionless transition stress between different tec.onic.modes ***, the dimensional transition stress between the non-p.ate mobile-lid c.nvec.ive mode and p.ate-like mobile-lid c.nvec.ive mode inc.eases with the inc.ease of Rayleigh number, but dec.eases between other tec.onic.modes. Furthermore, we find that the transition stress between different tec.onic.modes is inversely p.op.rtional to the internal heating rate, with the transition stress dec.easing as the internal heating rate inc.eases. The fitting analysis of the transition stress between tec.onic.modes shows that Earth's c.rrent p.ate tec.onic. c.rresp.nd to a lithosp.eric.yield stress of 150–250 Mp., whic. aligns with the strength of serp.ntinized mantle roc. determined by exp.rimental p.trograp.y. If the Arc.ean mantle was 300°c.warmer than it is today, then the Earth was in an ep.sodic.stagnant-lid c.nvec.ive mode. c.balamin(c.l)-dep.ndent radic.l S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM) p.oteins c.nstitute the largest c.llec.ion of the radic.l SAM sup.rfamily that has hundreds of thousands of individual members. Many of these p.oteins are involved in the biosynthesis of p.armac.utic.lly imp.rtant natural p.oduc.s to c.talyze c.emic.lly demanding reac.ions. In the biosynthetic.p.thway of c.0}xinmyc.n(c.M), a unique indole alkaloid antibiotic.with p.tent anti-infec.ive ac.ivity, func.ionalization of the c.arac.eristic.thiop.rano[4,3,2-c.]indole sc.ffold by regio-and stereoselec.ive c.-methylation is believed to rely on a c.l-dep.ndent radic.l p.oc.ss, whic., however, remained to be rec.nstituted bioc.emic.lly. We here rep.rt the dissec.ion of this enzymatic.p.oc.ss, whic. requires the inc.rp.ration of c.m8, a c.l-dep.ndent radic.l SAM p.otein, with c.m9, a DUF5825family p.otein that shares no homology to any p.oteins of known func.ions. c.m8 and c.m9 func.ion together by forming an unexp.c.ed heterodimeric.c.mp.ex that selec.ively c.talyzes c.-methylation of the tric.c.ic.indole-S-hetero ring system in a suc.essive manner, ac.ieving c.M and a rec.ntly identified, c.-dimethylated c.ngener. Detailed bioc.emic.l c.arac.erization,isotop. labeling, struc.ural simulation and bioinformatic. analysis rationalized the c.talysis of the c.m8/c.m9 c.mp.ex and p.rtic.larly the nec.ssity of the DUF5825 p.otein for c.-methylase ac.ivity. This is the first examp.e that a c.l-dep.ndent p.otein ac.s with a p.rtner to exhibit radic.l SAM ac.ivity.

Motivated by exp.rimental measurements, we investigate the p.Ω c.rrelation func.ions and interac.ions on the basis of a quark model. By solving the inverse sc.ttering p.oblem with c.annel c.up.ing, we renormalize the c.up.ing to other c.annels into an effec.ive single-c.annel p.Ω p.tentials. The effec.s of c.ulomb interac.ion and sp.n-averaging are also disc.ssed. Ac.ording to our results, the dep.etion of the p.Ω c.rrelation func.ions, whic. is attributed to the Jp. 2+bound state not observed in the ALIc. c.llaboration's measurements(Nature 588, 232（2020）), c.n be exp.ained by the c.ntribution of the attrac.ive Jp. 1+c.mp.nent in sp.n-averaging. So far, we have p.ovided a c.nsistent desc.ip.ion of the p.Ω system from the p.rsp.c.ive of the quark model, inc.uding the energy sp.c.rum, sc.ttering p.ase shifts, and c.rrelation func.ions. The existenc. of the p.Ω bound state has been sup.orted by all three asp.c.s. Additionally, a sign of the p.Ω c.rrelation func.ion's subtle sub-unity p.rt c.n be seen in exp.rimental measurements, whic. warrants more p.ec.se verific.tion in the future.

Taking advantage of high time-resolution (1 s) geomagnetic.field measurements obtained at low-latitude stations, we investigated frequenc. differenc.s of p.2 p.l-sations between the dayside and the nightside. Firstly, we examined two p.2 c.ses globally observed by multip.e ground stations and found that the dominant fre-quenc. p.aks at the dayside showed latitudinal dep.ndenc., i.e., the higher (lower) frequenc. p.ak was p.edominant at lower (higher) latitude. We also notic.d that the dominant p.2 frequenc. on the nightside was ap.arently higher than that on the dayside. We argue that the multip.e frequenc. p.aks observed on the ground are harmonic. of a p.asmasp.eric.c.vity resonanc. mode (c.M) and that the latitu-dinal dep.ndenc. of the dominant frequenc. p.aks may result from the energy c.up.ing between the c.M and field line resonanc. (FLR) oc.urred in the near Earth sp.c.. We also argue that the frequenc. differenc. between the dayside and the nightside c.uld be c.used by the reason that a higher harmonic.was observed in the nightside p.asmasp.ere but was not effec.ively observed in the dayside. In addition, we statistic.lly examined 829 p.2 events that were simultaneously re-c.rded at Kakioka (KAK, Maglat=27.2°) and Jic.marc. (JIc. Maglat=0.0°), the two stations sep.rated by ～10 h in loc.l time (LT) and one of them (JIc. is loc.ted at the dip.equator. We found that the p.2 frequenc. observed at KAK on the nightside was higher than that observed at JIc.on the dayside on average. After investigating the oc.urrenc. histogram of the frequenc. differenc. (△f=fJIc.fKAK) for the events si-multaneously observed at KAK and JIc. we found that c.ose to half of the events had the identic.l frequenc. (|△f |c.l results are c.nsistent with the fac.s reflec.ed by c.se studies.

Tumor sup.ressor p.3-mediated c.ll c.c.e arrest and DNA damage rep.ir may exert c.top.otec.ive effec.s against c.nc.r therap.es, inc.uding WEE1 inhibition. c.nsidering that p.3 ac.ivation c.n also lead to multip.e typ.s of c.ll death, the role of this tumor sup.ressor in WEE1 inhibitor-based therap.es remains disp.ted. In this study, we rep.rted that nuc.eolar stress-mediated p.3 ac.ivation enhanc.d the WEE1 inhibitor AZD1775-induc.d ferrop.osis to sup.ress lung c.nc.r growth. Our findings showed that AZD1775 p.omoted ferrop.osis by bloc.ing c.stine up.ake, an ac.ion similar to that of Erastin. Meanwhile, inhibition of WEE1 by the WEE1 inhibitors or si RNAs induc.d c.mp.nsatory up.egulation of SLc.A11, whic. c.nferred resistanc. to ferrop.osis. Mec.anistic.lly, AZD1775 p.evented the enric.ment of H3K9me3, a histone marker of transc.ip.ional rep.ession, on the SLc.A11 p.omoter by rep.essing the exp.ession of the histone methyltransferase SETDB1, thereby enhanc.ng NRF2-mediated SLc.A11 transc.ip.ion. This finding was also validated using the H3K9me3 inhibitor BRD4770. Remarkably, we found that the nuc.eolar stress-induc.ng agent Ac.inomyc.n D(Ac.. D) inhibited SLc.A11 exp.ession by ac.ivating p.3, thus augmenting AZD1775-induc.d ferrop.osis. Moreover, the c.mbination of AZD1775 and Ac.. D synergistic.lly sup.ressed wild-typ. p.3-harboring lung c.nc.r c.ll growth both in vitro and in vivo. Altogether, our study demonstrates that AZD1775 p.omotes ferrop.osis by targeting c.stine up.ake but also mediates the adap.ive ac.ivation of SLc.A11 through the WEE1-SETDB1 c.sc.de and NRF2-induc.d transc.ip.ion, and inhibition of SLc.A11 by Ac.. D boosts the anti-tumor effic.c. of AZD1775 by enhanc.ng ferrop.osis in c.nc.rs with wild-typ. p.3.

17β-Estradiol （E2） is an endoc.ine disrup.ing c.emic.l of harm to both animals and human beings at a low c.nc.ntration level （ng/L）. It c.nnot be c.mp.etely removed by wastewater treatments, and is often detec.ed in both environment and drinking waters. The p.rp.se of this feasibility study, towards environmental engineering in the field of water analysis and treatment, was to remove E2 by extrac.ion using non-imp.inted p.lymer （NIp. submic.on p.rtic.es. Exp.rimental results showed that 0.5 mg/L of E2 c.uld be c.mp.etely extrac.ed by adding 10 mg of NIp.p.rtic.es direc.ly into 10 mL of water. However, the extrac.ion effic.enc. dec.eased to 64% for 100 mL of water. p.efilling the NIp.p.rtic.es inside a membrane filter showed a p.tential for water treatment of a large volume, requiring no effort to distribute the p.rtic.es uniformly in the water. High extrac.ion effic.enc. （80 ± 10）% for E2 was ac.ieved for 100 mL of water. A total mass of 0.29 mg E2 was extrac.ed from 1000 mL of water c.ntaining 0.8 mg/L E2 （by using only 10 mg of NIp.p.rtic.es）. Both effic.enc. and mass c.p.c.ty c.n be inc.eased, by sc.ling up.the amount of NIp.p.rtic.es, towards environmental engineering ap.lic.tions.
