Industrial coking facilities are an important emission source for volatile organic compounds(VOCs).This study analyzed the atmospheric VOC characteristics within an industrial coking facility and its surrounding *** concentrations of total VOCs(TVOCs)in the surrounding residential activity areas(R1 and R2),the coking facility(CF)and the control area(CA)were determined to be 138.5,47.8,550.0,and 15.0μg/m^(3),*** cold drum process and coking and quenching areas within the coking facility were identified as the main polluting *** spatial variation in VOCs composition was analyzed,showing that VOCs in the coking facility and surrounding areas were mainly dominated by aromatic compounds such as BTX(benzene,toluene,and xylenes)and naphthalene,with concentrations being negatively correlated with the distance from the coking facility(p1).The sources of VOCs in different functional areas across the monitoring area were analyzed,finding that coking emissions accounted for 73.5%,33.3% and 27.7% of TVOCs in CF,R1 and R2,*** results demonstrated that coking emissions had a significant impact on VOC concentrations in the areas surrounding coking *** study evaluates the spatial variation in exposure to VOCs,providing important information for the influence of VOCs concentration posed by coking facility to surrounding residents and the development of strategies for VOC abatement.

The temperature appeared rising trend during the 20th century in china's tropics. Two cooling stages and two warming stages in the process of climatic fluctuation can be recognized. After the 1980s the climate is the warmest which corresponds to the global change, but the warmest period is the 1940s in Kunming. The climate pattern mostly appears contemporaneity of warming and humidity, which is different from the situation of whole china. The natural disasters tend to be aggravated. The number of typhoons increased. Flood damages occurred frequently in the years of more typhoons. The number of droughts and cold damages increased. It was snowed in guangzhou. There was frost in Haikou and Yaxian. Four years of heavy snow have been recorded in Kunming.

The eastern and western fronts of plate movement in Taiwan Island and Tibetan Plateau respectively are the two major sources of tectonic force for the morphogensis during Quaternary in china's tropics. Seven examples of geomorphological effects of plate movement are enumerated to discuss the differentiation of tectonic landforms in space and time during Quaternary. The tectonic movement tends to be more active since middle Pleistocene. Some phenomena such as the arc-shape mountain systems, volcanism and crustal deformation imply that the juncture zone of eastern and western tectonic forces is located at about 110 o E.

Forty-eight samples are chosen to discuss the distribution in space and time of the cooling fluctuation events during Holocene in the tropical zone of china in this paper. The authors consider that the Neoglaciations II and III (or Cooling Event) have a widespread impact on the drop in temperature of 1–2 °C or less than 2 °C. The YD Event was dated at 11,300-10,200 a BP in the tropical mainland and its dating is 11,400-10,500 a BP in the sea area with a drop in temperature of 4–6 °C. The distribution of Event B and Neoglaciation I is taking a position of north, with a drop in temperature of 2.5–3.0 °C. The Cooling Event shows the temporality in time. The Cooling Event shows the limitation of regional distribution with a drop in temperature of less than 1.5°C. The more recent the cooling event is, the smaller the drop amplitude in temperature will be. In the eastern part of tropical zone seven events are complete in all varieties but the cooling fluctuation is weaker in the western part. In Hainan Island and South china Sea the appearance of cooling fluctuations is synchronous with each other.

Discontinuity is critical for strength,deformability,and permeability of rock *** information is one of the essential discontinuity characteristics and is usually accessed by orientation *** methods of identifying optimal discontinuity set numbers are usually achieved by clustering validity indexes,which mainly relies on the aggregation and dispersion of clusters and leads to the inaccuracy and instability of *** paper proposes a new method of Fisher mixed evaluation(FME)to identify optimal group numbers of rock mass discontinuity *** FME,orientation distribution is regarded as the superposition of Fisher mixed *** grouping results are identified by considering the fitting accuracy of Fisher mixed distributions,the probability monopoly and central location significance of independent Fisher centers.A Halley-Expectation-Maximization(EM)algorithm is derived to achieve an automatic fitting of Fisher mixed *** real rock discontinuity models combined with three orientation clustering algorithms are adopted for discontinuity *** clustering validity indexes are used to automatically identify optimal group numbers for *** results show that FME is more accurate and robust than the other clustering validity indexes in optimal discontinuity group number identification for different rock models and orientation clustering algorithms.

Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)are important biomarkers in the development and progression of lung cancer because they can reach other organs through the blood circulation and form distant metastases,exacerbating lung cancer *** presence of CTCs is also the main reason for the failure of nanomedicine-based lung cancer ***,magnetic MoSe_(2) nanosheets loaded with programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1),named PD-L1-MFP NS,were employed here to precisely capture lung cancer CTCs in the blood circulation through the tumor-targeting effect of PD-L1 killing CTCs with highly effective photothermal therapy(PTT).In addition,by increasing the expression of cytomegalovirus UL16-binding protein(ULBP)ligands on tumor cells,the PD-L1-MFP NS further activated natural killer(NK)cells and triggered NK cell-induced cancer immunotherapy,thereby enhancing the overall tumor-killing *** summary,this material designed to capture CTCs provides a substantial advancement for personalized PTT-triggered immunotherapy and has great clinical translational potential.

Metal tellurides(MTes) are highly attractive as promising anodes for high-performance potassium-ion batteries. The capacity attenuation of most reported MTe anodes is attributed to their poor electrical conductivity and large volume variation. The evolution mechanisms, dissolution properties, and corresponding manipulation strategies of intermediates(K-polytellurides, K-pTe_(x)) are rarely mentioned. Herein,we propose a novel structural engineering strategy to confine ultrafine CoTe_(2) nanodots in hierarchical nanogrid-in-nanofiber carbon substrates(CoTe_(2)@NC@NSPCNFs) for smooth immobilization of K-pTe_(x) and highly reversible conversion of CoTe_(2) by manipulating the intense electrochemical reaction process. Various in situ/ex situ techniques and density functional theory calculations have been performed to clarify the formation, transformation, and dissolution of K-pTe_(x)(K_(5)Te_(3) and K_(2)Te), as well as verifying the robust physical barrier and the strong chemisorption of K_(5)Te_(3) and K_(2)Te on S, N co-doped dual-type carbon substrates. Additionally, the hierarchical nanogrid-in-nanofiber nanostructure increases the chemical anchoring sites for K-pTe_(x), provides sufficient volume buffer space, and constructs highly interconnected conductive microcircuits, further propelling the battery reaction to new heights(3500 cycles at 2.0 A g^(-1)). Furthermore, the full cells further demonstrate the potential for practical applications. This work provides new insights into manipulating K-pTe_(x) in the design of ultralong-cycling MTe anodes for advanced PIBs.

Conventionally,soil cadmium(Cd)measurements in the laboratory are expensive and timeconsuming,involving complex processes of sample preparation and chemical *** study aimed to identify the feasibility of using sensor data of visible near-infrared reflectance(Vis-NIR)spectroscopy and portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(PXRF)to estimate regional soil Cd concentration in a time-and *** sensor data of Vis-NIR and PXRF,and Cd concentrations of 128 surface soils from Yunnan Province,china,were ***-product analysis(OPA)was used for synthesizing the sensor data and Granger-Ramanathan averaging(GRA)was applied to fuse the model *** neural network(ANN)models were built using Vis-NIR data,PXRF data,and OPA data,*** showed that:(1)ANN model based on PXRF data performed better than that based on Vis-NIR data for soil Cd estimation;(2)Fusion methods of both OPA and GRA had higher predictive power(R^(2))=0.89,ratios of performance to interquartile range(RPIQ)=4.14,and lower root mean squared error(RMSE)=0.06,in ANN model based on OPA fusion;R^(2)=0.88,RMSE=0.06,and RPIQ=3.53 in GRA model)than those based on either Vis-NIR data or PXRF *** conclusion,there exists a great potential for the combination of OPA fusion and ANN to estimate soil Cd concentration rapidly and accurately.
