Scalable graphene foam with ultrahigh conductivity for stabilizing Pt towards efficient hydrogen evolution

For the carbon-based catalyst to be active and stable,especially in harsh electrochemical environments,the key is to decrease the concentration of defects and raise the degree of graphitization of the carbon ***,we develop a highly graphitized graphene foam with multiplicated structure to fabricate self-supporting Pt-based catalysts for efficient and stable hydrogen evolution reaction(heR)*** foam(GO-2850)is obtained through an ultra-high temperature treatment at 2850℃,with perfect graphene structure and extremely low defect,ensuring high electrical conductivity and corrosion ***,its multiplicated structure provides an inherently favorable environment for the dispersion of Pt nanoparticles(Pt NPs)and offers abundant channels for electrolyte infiltration during the catalytic *** a result,the as-prepared Pt/GO-2850 is far active and stable than the Pt NPs supported on commercial carbon paper(Pt/CP)counterpart toward catalyzing heR,exhibiting an outstanding activity and long-term durability(300 h@10 mA·cm^(−2))in acidic/alkaline/seawater *** can be attributed to the stronger interaction between the lower-defect GO-2850 substrate and Pt,as evidenced by characterization and theoretical *** work extends further insight into the design self-supporting catalysts of high activity and stability with promising prominent application toward green energy devices.

PHASE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF EPOXY RESIN MODIFIED BY POLYSILOXANE BEARING PENDANT AMINO GROUPS

Polysiloxane-modified epoxy resins were prepared through the reaction of epoxy resin with polydimethylsiloxanes bearing pendant N-(beta-aminoethyl)-gamma-aminopropyl groups. The morphology and properties of the cured epoxy resins modified by the polysiloxanes were investigated. It was found that the phase structure and properties of the cured epoxy resins depend mainly on the amino group content in the polydimethylsiloxane and the level of the modifier. The change of phase structure in the cured epoxy resin systems was responsible for the dramatic change in their mechanical and surface properties.

Quantitative extraction of methylgermanium species at trace levels and determination by on-column capillary gas chromatography with flame photometric detector

A solvent extraction procedure for the quantitative extraction of trace levels of methylgermanium species as their chloride complex has been developed and the extract was determined by an on column capillary gas chromatography with a lab modified flame photometric detector(FPD) using quartz surface induced germanium emission after pentylation with Grignard reaction. The extracted percentages for TMGe, DMGe and MMGe in a 100ml 9mol/L HCl aqueous solution by a single extraction with 1 ml hexane are 86.6%, 87.4% and 96.2%, respectively. The precision for overall procedure is ranged from 3.9% to 7.5%. The extraction was found to be independent of the initial concentration of methylgermanium species in the aqueous phase, which typically varied from 0.1 to 10 μg. This method is suitable for most types of environmental samples and, are superior to all hydride generation coupled spectrometric and spectrophotometric methods in terms of selectivity and tolerance ability to interference.

Effects of impregnation sequence on the NH_(3)-SCR activity and hydrothermal stability of a Ce-Nb/SnO_(2) catalyst

Hydrothermal stability is crucial for the practical application of deNO_(x)catalyst on diesel vehicles,for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).SnO_(2)-based materials possess superior hydrothermal stability,which is attractive for the development of NH_(3)-SCR *** this work,a series of Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts,with Ce and Nb loading on SnO_(2)support,were prepared by impregnation *** was found that,the NH_(3)-SCR activities and hydrothermal stabilities of the Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts significantly varied with the impregnation sequences,and the Ce-Nb(f)/SnO_(2) catalyst that firstly impregnated Nb and then impregnated Ce exhibited the best *** characterization results revealed that CeNb(f)/SnO_(2)possessed appropriate acidity and redox ***,the strong synergistic effect between Nb and Sn species stabilized the structure and maintained the dispersion of acid *** study may provide a new understanding for the effect of impregnation sequence on activity and hydrothermal stability and a new environmental-friendly NH_(3)-SCR catalyst with potential applications for NO_(x)removal from diesel and hydrogenfueled engines.

Efficient Pt/KFI zeolite catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NOxby hydrogen

Aiming at purification of NO_(x)from hydrogen internal combustion engines(HICEs),the hydrogen selective catalytic reduction(H_(2)-SCR)reaction was investigated over a series of Pt/KFI zeolite catalysts.H_(2)can readily reduce NO_(x)to N_(2)and N_(2)O while O_(2)inhibited the deNO_(x)efficiency by consuming the reductant H_(2).The Pt/KFI zeolite catalysts with Pt loading below 0.1wt.% are optimized H_(2)-SCR catalysts due to its suitable operation temperature window since high Pt loading favors the H_(2)-O_(2)reaction which lead to the insufficient of *** to metal Pt^(0)species,Pt^(δ+)species showed lower activation energy of H_(2)-SCR reaction and thought to be as reasonable active ***,Eley-Rideal(E-R)reaction mechanism was proposed as evidenced by the reaction orders in kinetic ***,the optimized reactor was designed with hybrid Pt/KFI catalysts with various Pt loading which achieve a high NO_(x)conversion in a wide temperature range.

Chlorajaponins A—Q,Lindenane-Related Sesquiterpenoid Dimers from Chloranthus japonicus and Their Biological Activities

Seventeen undescribed lindenane-related sesquiterpenoid dimers,chlorajaponins A—Q(1—17),and 13 reported analogs(18—30)were isolated from Chloranthus japonicus *** 1 possesses an unprecedented 3/5/7/5/5/6/5/3 fused octacyclic scaffold,featuring a 6(5→4)-abeo-lindenane monomer,while 2 exhibits a 3/5/6/6/5/6/5/3 fused octacyclic *** structures were determined through a combination of spectroscopic analyses and X-ray *** 1,2,and 18 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation and effectively reduced the levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol,as well as the levels of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in a hepG2 cell *** addition,compounds 1,2,and 18 significantly suppressed the protein expression of the fatty acid synthase(FASN)and the sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBP1).Moreover,the anti-inflammatory assay showed that compounds 19—22 and 25 inhibited the NO production induced by lipopolysaccharide in RAW 264.7 macrophages with IC50 values of 7.89±0.44,6.25±0.46,2.98±0.29,10.77±0.60,and 3.60±0.28μmol/L.

Marginal cost pricing for coal fired electricity in coastal cities of china.The case of Mawan Electricity Plant in Shenzhen City, china

By developing a GDMOD model to estimate the environmental externalities associated with electricity generation, this project provides a detailed analysis of the damages and costs caused by different pollutants at varying distances from the Mawan Electricity Plant in Shenzhen, china. The major findings of this study can be summarized that (1) environmental damages caused by electricity production are large and are mainly imposed on regions far away from the electricity plant; (2) air pollution is the most significant contributor to the total damages, and SO_2, NOx, and particulate matter are the three major pollutants with highest damages; (3) the damages caused per unit of particulate, NOx, and SO_2 emissions are much higher than pollution treatment and prevention costs. The research results of this project showed that china.needs to have a more effective levy system on SO_2, and a more manageable electricity tariff mechanism to internalize the environmental externalities. The results have also implications for pollution control strategies, compensation schemes as well as emission trading arrangements.

Numerical experiments for the impacts of temperature and precipitation variation on the growth and development of winter wheat

The growth process of winter wheat was simulated by CERES-wheat model assuming the daily temperature increase -1, 0,1, 2℃ and daily precipitation increase -20, -10, -5, 0, 5, 10, and 20 percent, respectively. The case study site is Zhenjiang City of Jiangsu Province in the east china. Simulation results show that the impacts of temperature variation on winter wheat is stronger than that of precipitation. Climate warming would speed development rate and shorten phonological period. In general, the adverse effect of climate change on grain yield is greater than that of its beneficial effect, especially when the climate becoming cooler and dryer. The increase of temperature and decrease of precipitation would reduce the plant extractablc soil water content.
