Ultra-compact multifunctional integrated photonic modules have great practical significance to photonic integrated circuits (PICs).However,the design effect and efficiency of the existing mainstream inverse design algorithms are incompetent when designing these *** analyze their shortcomings in this task,and propose a new,to our knowledge,inverse design algorithm named polygon search (PS) algorithm to address these *** utilize the PS algorithm to design an integrated dual-channel mode-conversion-crossing waveguide *** module integrates three functions:interconversion between TE_(0) and TE_(1),interconversion between TE_(0) and TE_(2.,and channel crossing within only a 4μm×4μm footprint,and its performance is verified by experimental *** not only greatly reduces the total footprint of many PICs but also greatly improves their fabricating ***,we propose a PS-designed mode mixer and a PS-designed bending waveguide,and connect them with the integrated modules to form a four-channel crossing-mode-division-multiplexing *** system can provide multiple modes on the basis of channel crossing and transmit the output signal in the same direction in parallel within a single output waveguide,which significantly increases the communication bandwidth and decreases the footprint of *** last,we demonstrate the effect and efficiency advantages of the PS algorithm over several mainstream inverse design algorithms by a comprehensive contrast experiment and explain these advantages in theory from several perspectives.

This paper proposes an improved You Only Look Once(YOLOv3)algorithm for automatically detecting damaged apples to promote the automation of the fruit processing *** the proposed method,a clustering method based on Rao-1 algorithm is introduced to optimize anchor box *** clustering method uses the intersection over the union to form the objective function and the most representative anchor boxes are generated for normal and damaged apple *** verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method,real apple images collected from the Internet are *** with the generic YOLOv3 and Fast Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(Fast R-CNN)algorithms,the proposed method yields the highest mean average precision value for the test ***,it is practical to apply the proposed method for intelligent apple detection and classification tasks.

Offensive language detection has received important attention and plays a crucial role in promoting healthy communication on social platforms,as well as promoting the safe deployment of large language *** data is the basis for developing detectors;however,the available offense-related dataset in Chinese is severely limited in terms of data scale and coverage when compared to English *** significantly affects the accuracy of Chinese offensive language detectors in practical applications,especially when dealing with hard cases or out-of-domain *** alleviate the limitations posed by available datasets,we introduce AugCOLD(Augmented Chinese Offensive Language Dataset),a large-scale unsupervised dataset containing 1 million samples gathered by data crawling and model ***,we employ a multiteacher distillation framework to enhance detection performance with unsupervised *** is,we build multiple teachers with publicly accessible datasets and use them to assign soft labels to *** soft labels serve as a bridge for knowledge to be distilled from both AugCOLD and multiteacher to the student network,i.e.,the final offensive *** conduct experiments on multiple public test sets and our well-designed hard tests,demonstrating that our proposal can effectively improve the generalization and robustness of the offensive language detector.

For name-based routing/switching in NDN, the key challenges are to manage large-scale forwarding Tables, to lookup long names of variable lengths, and to deal with frequent updates. Hashing associated with proper length-detecting is a straightforward yet efficient solution. Binary search strategy can reduce the number of required hash detecting in the worst case. However, to assure the searching path correct in such a schema, either backtrack searching or redundantly storing some prefixes is required, leading to performance or memory issues as a result. In this paper, we make a deep study on the binary search, and propose a novel mechanism to ensure correct searching path without neither additional backtrack costs nor redundant memory consumptions. Along any binary search path, a bloom filter is employed at each branching point to verify whether a said prefix is present, instead of storing that prefix here. By this means, we can gain significantly optimization on memory efficiency, at the cost of bloom checking before each detecting. Our evaluation experiments on both real-world and randomly synthesized data sets demonstrate our superiorities clearly

＜正＞A fundamental problem for evaluating network intrusion detection systems, which detect network intruders by passively monitoring one or more network links over which intruders’ traffic transits, is the ability of generating testing traffic, including large volume of background traffic and intrusive or anomalous traffic. In this paper, we present a new approach to generate testing traffic, in which background traffic is dumped from a real environment and saved as trace files of transformed packets, and by editing trace files with scripts or manually, attacks traffic is created and inserted in background traffic. We discuss how to dump background traffic and a script language that automatically generate different attacks traffic according to different attack signatures. And testing traffic is replayed with off line and fed to network intrusion detection systems. We then present the implementation of generating testing traffic in Linux and discuss some limitations to our approach.

The role that visual discriminative ability plays among giant pandas in social communication and individual discrimination has received less attention than olfactory and auditory ***,we used an eye-tracker technology to investigate pupil fixation patterns for 8 captive male giant pandas Ailuropoda *** paired images(N=2.)of conspecifics against:1)sympatric predators(gray wolves and tigers),and non-threatening sympatric species(golden pheasant,golden snub-nosed monkey,takin,and red panda),2.conspecifics with atypical fur colora-tion(albino and brown),and 3)zookeepers/non-zookeepers wearing either work uniform or plain *** each session,we tracked the pan-da's pupil movements and measured pupil first fixation point(FFP),fixation latency,total fixation count(TFC),and duration(TFD)of attention to each ***,pandas exhibited similar attention(FFPs and TFCs)to images of predators and non-threatening sympatric *** of golden pheasant,snub-nosed monkey,and tiger received less attention(TFD)than images of conspecifics,whereas images of takin and red panda received more attention,suggesting a greater alertness to habitat or food competitors than to potential ***'TFCs were greater for images of black-white conspecifics than for albino or brown phenotypes,implying that familiar color elicited more *** reacted differently to images of men versus *** images of women only,pandas gave more attention(TFC)to familiar combinations(uniformed zookeepers and plain-clothed non-zookeepers),consistent with the familiarity *** pandas can use visual perception to discriminate intra-specifically and inter-specifically,including details of human appearance,has applications for panda conservation and captive husbandry.

Energy efficiency is an important criterion for routing algorithms in the wireless sensor network. Cooperative routing can reduce energy consumption effectively stemming from its diversity gain advantage. To solve the energy consumption problem and maximize the network lifetime, this paper proposes a Virtual Multiple Input Multiple Output based Cooperative Routing algorithm(VMIMOCR). VMIMOCR chooses cooperative relay nodes based on Virtual Multiple Input Multiple Output Model, and balances energy consumption by reasonable power allocation among transmitters, and decides the forwarding path finally. The experimental results show that VMIMOCR can improve network lifetime from 37% to 348% in the medium node density, compared with existing routing algorithms.
