Immature embryos of rice varieties 'Xiushui11' and 'Chunjiang 11' precultured for 4d were infected and transformed by Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain EHA101/pExT7 (containing the spider insecticidal gene). The resistant cant were transferred onto the differentiation medium and plants were regenerated. The transformation frequency reached 56%-72% measured as numbers of Geneticin (G418)-resistant calli produced and 36%-60% measured as numbers of transgenic plants regenerated, respectively. PCR and Southern blot analysis of transgenic plants confirmed that the T-DNA had been integrated into the rice genome. Insect bioassays using T1 transgenic plants indicated that the mortality of the leaffolder (Cnaphalocrasis medinalis) after 7d of leaf feeding reached 38%-61% and the corrected mortality of the striped stem borer (Chilo suppressalis) after 7d of leaf feeding reached 16%-75%. The insect bioassay results demonstrated that the transgenic plants expressing the spider insecticidal protein conferred enhanced resistance to these pests.

Owing to their exceptional properties, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) and high-entropy materials have emerged as promising research areas and shown diverse applications. Here,the recent advances in the field are comprehensively reviewed,organized into five sections. The first section introduces the background of HEAs, covering their definition, significance,application prospects, basic properties, design principles, and microstructure. The subsequent section focuses on cutting-edge high-entropy structural materials, highlighting developments such as nanostructured alloys, grain boundary engineering,eutectic systems, cryogenic alloys, thin films, micro-nano-lattice structures, additive manufacturing, high entropy metallic glasses, nano-precipitate strengthened alloys, composition modulation, alloy fibers, and refractory systems. In the following section, the emphasis shifts to functional materials, exploring HEAs as catalysts, magneto-caloric materials, corrosion-resistant alloys, radiation-resistant alloys, hydrogen storage systems, and materials for biomedicine. Additionally, the review encompasses functional high-entropy materials outside the realm of alloys, including thermoelectric, quantum dots, nanooxide catalysts, energy storage materials, negative thermal expansion ceramics,and high-entropy wave absorption materials. The paper concludes with an outlook, discussing future directions and potential growth areas in the field. Through this comprehensive review,researchers, engineers, and scientists may gain valuable insights into the recent progress and opportunities for further exploration in the exciting domains of high-entropy alloys and functional materials.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is highly prevalent among older men, impacting on their quality of life, sexual function, and genitourinary health, and has become an important global burden of disease. Transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate (TUPKP) is one of the foremost surgical procedures for the treatment of BPH. It has become well established in clinical practice with good efficacy and safety. In 2018, we issued the guideline “2018 Standard Edition”. However much new direct evidence has now emerged and this may change some of previous recommendations. The time is ripe to develop new evidence-based guidelines, so we formed a working group of clinical experts and methodologists. The steering group members posed 31 questions relevant to the management of TUPKP for BPH covering the following areas: questions relevant to the perioperative period (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative) of TUPKP in the treatment of BPH, postoperative complications and the level of surgeons’ surgical skill. We searched the literature for direct evidence on the management of TUPKP for BPH, and assessed its certainty generated recommendations using the grade criteria by the European Association of Urology. Recommendations were either strong or weak, or in the form of an ungraded consensus-based statement. Finally, we issued 36 statements. Among them, 23 carried strong recommendations, and 13 carried weak recommendations for the stated procedure. They covered questions relevant to the aforementioned three areas. The preoperative period for TUPKP in the treatment of BPH included indications and contraindications for TUPKP, precautions for preoperative preparation in patients with renal impairment and urinary tract infection due to urinary retention, and preoperative prophylactic use of antibiotics. The large sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope（laMOST） general survey is a spectroscopic survey that will eventually cover approximately half of the celestial sphere and collect 10 million spectra of stars, galaxies and QSOs. Objects in both the pilot survey and the first year regular survey are included in the laMOST DR1. The pilot survey started in October 2011 and ended in June 2012, and the data have been released to the public as the laMOST Pilot Data Release in August 2012. The regular survey started in September 2012, and completed its first year of operation in June 2013. The laMOST DR1 includes a total of 1202 plates containing 2 955 336 spectra, of which 1 790 879 spectra have observed signalto-noise ratio（SNR） ≥ 10. All data with SNR ≥ 2 are formally released as laMOST DR1 under the laMOST data policy. This data release contains a total of 2 204 696 spectra, of which 1 944 329 are stellar spectra, 12 082 are galaxy spectra and 5017 are quasars. The DR1 not only includes spectra, but also three stellar catalogs with measured parameters： late A,FGK-type stars with high quality spectra（1 061 918 entries）, A-type stars（100 073 entries）, and M-type stars（121 522 entries）. This paper introduces the survey design, the observational and instrumental limitations, data reduction and analysis, and some caveats. A description of the FITS structure of spectral files and parameter catalogs is also provided.

遗传性耳聋是一种常见的遗传性疾病,新生儿的发病率为1‰~3‰。患者终身携带致病突变,导致不可逆性耳聋,至今尚无临床可用的治疗药物。在部分遗传性耳聋动物模型中,基因治疗已被证实为潜在有效的治疗方法。国内外已开展了多项遗传性耳聋基因治疗的临床试验。其中,由东南大学附属中大医院牵头,联合国内多家医院成功开展的遗传性耳聋基因治疗临床试验,取得了显著的疗效,并积累了丰富的经验。为规范遗传性耳聋基因治疗并提供临床研究指导,全国多家医院的耳科专家讨论制定了遗传性耳聋基因治疗临床指南,内容涵盖了伦理审查、遗传性耳聋的诊断和入组标准、临床前准备、药物、疗效与安全性评估标准、术后言语康复等。本指南将为耳聋基因治疗的临床诊疗提供规范的理论和技术指导。

Background:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a serious and even lethal respiratory *** mortality of critically ill patients with COVID-19,especially short term mortality,is *** is crucial and urgent to develop risk models that can predict the mortality risks of patients with COVID-19 at an early stage,which is helpful to guide clinicians in making appropriate decisions and optimizing the allocation of hospital ***:In this retrospective observational study,we enrolled 949 adult patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 admitted to Tongji Hospital in Wuhan between January 28 and February 12,***,clinical and laboratory data were collected and analyzed.A multivariable Cox proportional hazard regression analysis was performed to calculate hazard ratios and 95%confidence interval for assessing the risk factors for 30-day ***:The 30-day mortality was 11.8%(112 of 949 patients).Forty-nine point nine percent(474)patients had one or more comorbidities,with hypertension being the most common(359[37.8%]patients),followed by diabetes(169[17.8%]patients)and coronary heart disease(89[9.4%]patients).Age above 50 years,respiratory rate above 30 beats per minute,white blood cell count of more than 10×109/L,neutrophil count of more than 7×109/L,lymphocyte count of less than 0.8×109/L,platelet count of less than 100×109/L,lactate dehydrogenase of more than 400 U/L and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein of more than 50 mg/L were independent risk factors associated with 30-day mortality in patients with COVID-19.A predictive CAPRL score was proposed integrating independent risk *** 30-day mortality were 0%(0 of 156),1.8%(8 of 434),12.9%(26 of 201),43.0%(55 of 128),and 76.7%(23 of 30)for patients with 0,1,2,3,≥4 points,***:We designed an easy-to-use clinically predictive tool for assessing 30-day mortality risk of *** can accurately stratify hospitalized patients with COVID-19 into rel

We present the observational results from a detailed timing analysis of the black hole candidate EXO 1846-031 during its outburst in 2019 with the observations of Insight-HXMT,NICER and *** outburst can be classified roughly into four different ***-C quasi-periodic oscillations(QPOs)observed by NICER(about 0.1-6 Hz)and Insight-HXMT(about 0.7-8 Hz)are also reported in this ***,we study various physical quantities related to QPO *** QPO rms-frequency relationship in the energy band 1-10 keV indicates that there is a turning pointing in frequency around2 Hz,which is similar to that of GRS 1915+105.A possible hypothesis for the relationship above may be related to the inclination of the source,which may require a high inclination to explain *** relationships between QPO frequency and QPO rms,hardness,total fractional rms and count rate have also been found in other transient sources,which can indicate that the origin of type-C QPOs is non-thermal.
