Analysis of Genetic Diversity of Processing Apple Varieties

Genetic diversity of 18 processing apple varieties and two fresh varieties were evaluated using 12 simple sequence repeats （SSR） primer pairs previously identified in Malus domestica Borkh. A total of 87 alleles in 10 loci were detected using 10 polymorphic SSR markers selected within the range of 5-14 alleles per locus. All the 20 varieties could be distinguished using two primer pairs and they were divided into four groups using cluster analysis. The genetic similarity （GS） of groups analyzed using cluster analysis varied from 0.14 to 0.83. High acid variety Avrolles separated from other varieties with GS less than 0.42. The second group contained Longfeng and Dolgo from Northeast of China, the inherited genes of Chinese crab apple. The five cider varieties with high tannin contents, namely, Dabinette, Frequin rouge, Kermerrien, ***, and *** were clustered into the third group. The fourth group was mainly composed of 12 juice and fresh varieties. Principal coordinate analysis （PCO） also divided all the varieties into four groups. Juice and fresh apple varieties, Longfeng and Dolgo were clustered together, respectively, using both the analyses. Both the analyses showed there was much difference between cider and juice varieties, cider and fresh varieties, as well as Chinese crab apple and western European crab apple, whereas juice varieties and fresh varieties had a similar genetic background. The genetic diversity and differentiation could be sufficiently reflected by combining the two analytical methods.

The Large Hadron Collider(LHC), the world's largest and most powerful particle accelerator, has been a pivotal tool in advancing our understanding of fundamental physics. By colliding heavy ions, such as lead ions, the LHC recreates conditions similar to those just after the Big Bang. This allows scientists to study the quark-gluon plasma(QGP), a state of matter in which quarks and gluons are not confned within protons and neutrons. These studies provide valuable insights into the strong force and the behavior of the early universe. In this paper, we present a comprehensive overview of recent signifcant fndings from A Large Ion Collider Experiment(ALICE) at the LHC. The topics covered include measurements related to the properties of the QGP, particle production, fow and correlations, dileptons, quarkonia, and electromagnetic probes, heavy favor, and jets. Additionally, we introduce future plans for detector upgrades in the ALICE experiment.

SOLUTION CRYSTALLIZATION BEHAVIOR OF LINEAR AND STAR-SHAPED POLY(ETHYLENE GLYCOL)-b-POLY(ε-CAPROLACTONE) BLOCK COPOLYMERS

Lamellar crystals of diblock, triblock and four-arm poly（ethylene glycol）-b-poly（ε-caprolactone）（PEG-b-PCL） crystalline-crystalline copolymers were successfully obtained from their solution. Morphology and structure of lamellar crystals of crystalline-crystalline copotymers were investigated using tapping-mode atomic force microscopy （AFM） and selected area electron diffraction （SAED）. All of these samples showed the truncated-lozenge multilayer basal shapes with central screw dislocation or central stack, which were all obtained simultaneously from the oil bath. The diffraction pattern of PEG block lamellar crystal is attributed to the （120） diffracting planes and the pattern of PCL block lamellar crystal is attributed to the （1 I0） diffracting planes and （200） diffracting planes according to the SAED results. Four （110） crystal growth planes and two （200） crystal growth planes are discovered for the PCL blocks, but the （120） crystal growth planes of PEG blocks are hided in the figure of AFM. The crystalline structure of the four-arm copolymers （FA） is more disorder and confused than that of the diblock （DI） copolymer and the striated fold surface structures of lamellar crystals of four-arm copolymers （FA） are smoother than these of linear analogues, owing to the confused crystallization of blocks caused by the mutual restriction of blocks and the hindrance of the dendritic cores. In addition, the aspect ratio of FA is greater than that of the others. It is hypothesized that there are two reasons for the change of aspect ratios. First, the （200） diffracting planes of PCL crystals grew slowly compared to their （110） diffracting planes because of difference in the energy barrier. Secondly, edge dislocations on the （200） diffracting planes are also responsible for the variation of the aspect ratio. Consequently, the crystalline defects are augmented by the competing blocks crystallized simultaneously and the hindrance of the dendritic cores.

Global Impact and Balancing Act:Deciphering the Effect of Fluorination on B 1s Binding Energies in Fluorinated h‑BN Nanosheets

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)is an important characterization tool in the pursuit of controllable fluorination of two-dimensional hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN).However,there is a lack of clear spectral interpretation,and seemingly conflicting measurements *** discern the structure−spectroscopy relation,we performed a comprehensive first-principles study on the boron 1s edge XPS of fluorinated h-BN(F-BN)*** gradually introducing 1−6 fluorine atoms into different boron or nitrogen sites,we created various F-BN structures with doping ratios ranging from 1 to 6%.Our calculations reveal that fluorines landed at boron or nitrogen sites exert competitive effects on the B 1s binding energies(BEs),leading to red or blue shifts in different *** calculations affirmed the hypothesis that fluorination affects 1s BEs of all borons in theπ-conjugated system,opposing the transferability from h-BN to ***,we observe that BE generally increases with higher fluorine concentration when both borons and nitrogens are nonexclusively *** findings provide critical insights into how fluorination affects boron’s 1s BEs,contributing to a better understanding of fluorination functionalization processes in h-BN and its potential applications in materials science.

Effect of electron-electron interaction on polarization process of exciton and biexciton in conjugated polymer

By using one-dimensional tight-binding model modified to include electron-electric field interaction and electron-electron interaction,we theoretically explore the polarization process of exciton and biexciton in *** dynamical simulation is performed by adopting the non-adiabatic evolution *** results show that under the effect of moderate electric field,when the strength of electron-electron interaction is weak,the singlet exciton is stable but its polarization presents obvious *** the enhancement of interaction,it is dissociated into polaron pairs,the spin-flip of which can be observed through modulating the interaction *** the triplet exciton,the strong electron-electron interaction restrains its normal polarization,but it is still *** the case of biexciton,the strong electron-electron interaction not only dissociate it,but also flip its charge *** yield of the possible states formed after the dissociation of exciton and biexciton is also calculated.
