EPG Comparison of Sitobion avenae (Fab.) Feeding Behavior on Three Wheat Varieties

This article was to study the potential resistance mechanism of three different wheat varieties （Ww2730, Xiaoyan 22 and Batis） in the seedling stage to Sitobion avenae. The aphid feeding behavior was ascertained by stylet penetration activities monitoring using the electrical penetration graph （EPG） technique. When the aphids feed on Ww2730 seedlings, the time for the 1st duration probing was later than that on Xiaoyan 22 and Batis significantly, and the number of interrupted probing before the 1st duration probing was more than that on Xiaoyan 22 and Batis significantly, and the 1st duration probing was shorter than that on Xiaoyan 22 and Batis significantly. The durations of the stylet pierce from the extra- to the intra-cellular （pd Ⅱ-1） on Ww2730 and Xiaoyan 22 were longer than those on Batis significantly. The duration of the potential drop （pd） in C wave on Ww2730 was longer than that on Xiaoyan 22 and Batis significantly. The times and duration of the G wave （ingestion in xylem） on Ww2730 were more and longer than those on Xiaoyan 22 and Batis significantly. The times of spot G wave on Batis was more than that on Ww2730 significantly, but the duration of spot G was shorter than that on Xiaoyan 22 and Ww2730 significantly. The total time of E1 wave, the longest duration of E1 fractions, and the mean duration time of E1 fractions that followed E2 wave on Xiaoyan 22 and Batis were all significantly longer than those on Ww2730. There was no difference of the mean duration of the 1st E1 wave on the 3 varieties, but the mean durations of other E1 wave on Ww2730 and Xiaoyan 22 were shorter than those on Batis significantly. The other wave parameters, including times and durations of F and E2 were all not different on the 3 wheat varieties. It is suggested that the resistance mechanism of wheat variety Ww2730 to S. avenae is a restriction factor of feeding in epidermis, the thicker cell wall in mesophyll, and secondary metabolites or nutrition unbalance in phloem in

Cosmological interpretation for the stochastic signal in pulsar timing arrays

The pulsar timing array(PTA)collaborations have recently reported compelling evidence for a stochastic signal consistent with a gravitational-wave *** this paper,we combine the latest data sets from NANOGrav,PPTA,and EPTA to explore cosmological interpretations for the PTA signal from first-order phase transitions,domain walls,and cosmic strings,*** find that the domain wall model is strongly disfavored with the Bayes factors compared with the first-order phase transitions and cosmic strings being 1/90 and 1/189,respectively,breaking the degeneracy among these models in individual data *** also find that:(1)a strong phase transition at temperatures below the electroweak scale is favored,and the bubble collisions make the dominant contribution to the energy density spectrum;(2)a small reconnection probability p<1.55×10^(-1)allowed by strings in(super)string theory is favored at the 95%confidence level,and ground-based detectors can further constrain the parameter space.

Selective photosynthesis of imines from biomass-derived aldehydes over Ni/TiO_(2)

Photocatalytic reductive amination of biomass-derived aldehydes is a desirable way to selectively upgrade biomass into value-added nitrogen-containing chemicals under mild ***,it is challenging to produce imines in high selectivity because of the undesirable side reactions caused by the activity of functional ***,we demonstrate the highly reactive and selective production of imines from biomass derived aldehydes via the photocatalytic reductive amination,using a defective TiO_(2)supported nickel *** employment of methanol as the hydrogen donor and ammonia solution as the nitrogen source avoids the use of high-pressure H_(2)and expensive amines,rendering the current catalytic process safe,economical,and environmentally *** depth investigations attribute the improved separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers to the presence of oxygen vacancies and decorated Ni nanoparticles,thereby accelerating the production of imines from benzaldehyde amination(conversion,95.8%;seleetivity,95.2%).Furthermore,the developed system could be easily translated to the photocatalytic conversions of various biomass derived aldehydes,which provided an example of a cost-effective and sustainable approach for the valorization of biomass derived feedstocks.

Supramolecular polymers,as a type of dynamic polymers,are subordinate to the interdisciplinary field of polymer chemistry and supramolecular chemistry,whose development has greatly promoted the prosperity of new ***,molecular weight is one of the most important parameters of supramolecular polymers,which affects the physical/chemical properties and processing applications of *** new methods for characterizing the molecular weight of supramolecular polymers is crucial for advancing the development of supramolecular *** this review,we elaborate and summarize three strategies for characterizing the molecular weight of supramolecular polymers that recently reported by our research group according to the characteristics of supramolecular polymers,including(1)the molecular weight distinction corresponding to variable fluorescence colors,(2)matching different molecular weights with different fluorescence lifetime,(3)transforming supramolecular polymers into mechanically interlocked polymers or covalent ***,we also discuss the limitations of current methods for characterizing supramolecular *** hope that this review can promote the development of supramolecular polymers and significantly inspire to exploit new methods to characterizing molecular weight of supramolecular polymers.

Dual template-induced construction of three-dimensional porous SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs heterostructure with highly dispersed active sites for efficient oxygen evolution reaction

The development and exploration of efficient and economical electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction（OER） represents the main bottleneck to unlocking a sustainable energy scenario based on elec trocataly tic water *** scale integration of three-dimensional（3D） porous heterostructure with highly dispersed active sites and good structural stability is ***,a dual template route is developed to construct the 3D porous SiO2/nitrogen-doped carbon（NC）/Co-carbon nano tubes（CNTs） hetero ***,the hard template（SiO2nano spheres） contributes to 3D porous structure,increases the specific surface area,and promotes the contact area of the *** the same time,the soft template（basic zinc carbonate） can control the growth of 1D CNTs and facilitate the exposure of the active ***,3D porous SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs hetero structure inherits highly dispersed Co nanoparticles coated by *** conductive channels and abundant N hetero atoms doping are reasonably constructed by a dual template ***,SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs catalyst provides an extraordinary activity for the OER in alkaline media,with a low overpotential of 298 mV at a current density of 10 mA·***,SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs hetero structure enables excellent long-term durability with a 10 mV decay in overpotential after 3000 cyclic voltammetry cycles,and 97% remain in current density over 20 *** is believed that this dual template strategy can provide a new and simple way to construct a highly dispersed active site in electrocatalysts.

Crust and Upper Mantle Density Structures beneath the Eastern Tianshan Region and Its Tectonic Implications

The deformation mechanisms of the Tianshan orogenic belt(TOB)are one of the most important unresolved issues in the collision of the Indian and Eurasian *** better understand the lithospheric deformation of the eastern Tianshan orogenic belt,we combined the S-wave tomography and gravity data to develop a three-dimensional(3D)density model of the crust and upper mantle beneath the eastern Tianshan *** show that the crust of the eastern Tianshan is mainly characterized by positive density anomalies,revealing widespread subduction-related magmatism during the *** however have also observed extensive low-density anomalies beneath the eastern Tianshan at depths deeper than~100 km,which is likely linked to a relatively hot *** most fundamental differences of the lithosphere within the eastern Tianshan occur in the uppermost *** uppermost mantle layers in the Bogda Shan and Harlik Shan are relatively *** is likely associated with an eclogite body in the uppermost *** most significant negative anomaly of the uppermost mantle is however found in the Jueluotage tectonic belt and the central Tianshan Block and is possibly associated with depleted mantle *** suggest that these differences related to compositional changes may control the strength of the lithospheric mantle and have affected the uplift of the northern and southern segments of the eastern Tianshan after the Permian.

Interface interaction between SiO_(2) and magnetite under high temperature:particle migration and inhibition mechanism

Low-dose computed tomography(LDCT)contains the mixed noise of Poisson and Gaus-sian,which makes the image reconstruction a challenging *** order to describe the statistical characteristics of the mixed noise,we adopt the sinogram preprocessing as a stan-dard maximum a posteriori(MAP).Based on the fact that the sinogram of LDCT has non-local self-similarity property,it exhibits low-rank *** conventional way of solving the low-rank problem is implemented in matrix forms,and ignores the correlations among similar patch *** avoid this issue,we make use of a nonlocal Kronecker-Basis-Representation(KBR)method to depict the low-rank problem.A new denoising model,which consists of the sinogram preprocessing for data fidelity and the nonlocal KBR term,is developed in this *** proposed denoising model can better illustrate the generative mechanism of the mixed noise and the prior knowledge of the ***-merical results show that the proposed denoising model outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of peak-signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR),feature similarity(FSIM),and normalized mean square error(NMSE).
