Hot Deformation Behavior and Microstructures Evolution of GNP-Reinforced Fine-Grained Mg Composites

Graphene nanoplates(GNPs)-reinforced magnesium matrix composites have been attracted great ***,knowledge is lack for the hot deformation behavior of GNP-reinforced magnesium(GNPs/Mg)*** this study,the fine-grained GNPs/Mg composite was fabricated by powder metallurgy process followed by *** hot deformation behavior,microstructure evolution and dynamic recrystallization(DRX)mechanism of fine-grained GNPs/Mg composite were investigated by hot compression test and electron back-scatter diffraction(EBSD).The hot compression tests of the composite were conducted at temperatures between 42. and 573.K with the strain rates from 0.001 to 1 s^(-1).The strain compensated power law equation was established to describe the hot deformation behavior of the *** stress exponent and activation energy of the composite are 7.76 and 83.2. kJ/mol,respectively,suggesting that the deformation mechanism is grain boundary slip controlled dislocation climb *** abnormally high stress exponent and activation energy are unattainable in the composite due to the fine grain size of the composites and the absence of Zener pinning and Orowan effects of GNPs *** grain size increases with the decrease in Zener-Hollomn(Z)parameter,which can be well fitted by power-law *** the increase in grain size and decrease in Z parameter,the geometrically necessary dislocation density decreases,which shows the approximately power-law relationship.A random and weak texture was formed after hot *** discontinuous dynamic recrystallization and continuous dynamic recrystallization mechanism dominated the DRX behavior at 473.K/0.001 s^(-1) and 573.K/0.001 s^(-1),respectively.

Antibacterial Ti-5Cu alloy is a promising substitute material for Ti-made cardiovascular implants,so its surface engineering is crucial to expediting clinical *** the antibacterial and cardiovas-cular biological benefits of Cu^(2.)and titanium-nitride-oxide(TiN x O y)coatings,a Cu_(2.O/CuO-TiN x O y coating with upregulated Cu^(2.)release was successfully deposited on Ti-5Cu alloy for the first time using oxygen and nitrogen plasma-based surface *** superhydrophilic and nanostructured Cu_(2.O/CuO-TiN x O y coating had a dense structure and was well bonded to the substrate,resulting in enhanced cor-rosion resistance,while CuO/Cu_(2.O in the coating released Cu^(2.)faster than Ti_(2.Cu phase in the *** gratifying,the coating demonstrated perfect antibacterial properties(R>99.9%against ***),owing primarily to direct contact sterilization of Cu_(2.O/*** most encouraging phenomenon was that the coating dramatically accelerated huVEC adhesion(1.4 times),proliferation(RGR:106%-116%),and particularly migration(RMR:158%-2.7%)compared with the control *** coating extract also signifi-cantly stimulated in vitro angiogenesis *** rapid endothelialization for Cu_(2.O/CuO-TiN x O y coating was attributed to the surface nanostructure and Cu^(2.)/NO_(2.−release,which upregulated the angiogenesis-related gene expression of HIF-1α,VEGF,and eNOS to increase VEGF secretion and NO *** of the findings indicated that the Cu_(2.O/CuO-TiN x O y coating could enhance the corrosion resistance,an-tibacterial properties,and endothelialization potential of Ti-Cu alloy,displaying great clinical potential in cardiovascular applications.

Maximum initial primary wave model for low-Froude-number reservoir landslides based on wave theory

Formaldehyde(HCHO)is a common indoor pollutant that is detrimental to human *** efficient removal has become an urgent demand to reduce the public health *** this work,Ag-MnO_(x)-based catalysts were prepared and activated under different atmosphere(i.e.,air,hydrogen(H_(2.)and carbon monoxide(CO))for efficient oxidation of *** catalyst activated with CO(Ag/Mn-CO)displayed the highest activity among the tested samples with 90% conversion at 100℃ under a gas space velocity of 75,000 mL/(g_(cat)·hr).Complementary characterizations demonstrate that CO reduction treatment resulted in synergically regulated content of surface oxygen on support to adsorb/activate HCHO and size of Ag particle to dissociate oxygen to oxidize the adsorbed *** contrast,other catalysts lack for either abundant surface oxygen species or metallic silver with the appropriate particle size,so that the integrate activity is limited by one specific reaction *** study contributes to elucidating the mechanisms regulating the oxidation activity of Ag-based catalysts.

Spatiotemporal Evaluation and Future Projection of Diurnal Temperature Range over the Tibetan Plateau in CMIP6 Models

The diurnal temperature range(DTR) serves as a vital indicator reflecting both natural climate variability and anthropogenic climate change. This study investigates the historical and projected multitemporal DTR variations over the Tibetan Plateau. It assesses 2. climate models from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) using CN05.1 observational data as validation, evaluating their ability to simulate DTR over the Tibetan Plateau. Then, the evolution of DTR over the Tibetan Plateau under different shared socioeconomic pathway(SSP) scenarios for the near,middle, and long term of future projection are analyzed using 11 selected robustly performing models. Key findings reveal:(1) Among the models examined, BCC-CSM2.MR, EC-Earth3. EC-Earth3.CC, EC-Earth3.Veg, EC-Earth3.Veg-LR,FGOALS-g3. FIO-ESM-2.0, GFDL-ESM4, MPI-ESM1-2.HR, MPI-ESM1-2.LR, and INM-CM5-0 exhibit superior integrated simulation capability for capturing the spatiotemporal variability of DTR over the Tibetan Plateau.(2. Projection indicates a slightly increasing trend in DTR on the Tibetan Plateau in the SSP1-2.6 scenario, and decreasing trends in the SSP2.4.5, SSP3.7.0, and SPP5-8.5 scenarios. In certain areas, such as the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, western hinterland of the Tibetan Plateau, southern Kunlun, and the Qaidam basins, the changes in DTR are relatively large.(3. Notably, the warming rate of maximum temperature under SSP2.4.5, SSP3.7.0, and SPP5-8.5 is slower compared to that of minimum temperature, and it emerges as the primary contributor to the projected decrease in DTR over the Tibetan Plateau in the future.

Microplastics may reduce the fish bioaccumulation of organic pollutants

Microplastics have frequently been regarded as a threat to aquatic organisms due to their potential to enhance the accessibility of organic pollutants. However, studies of microplastics as “carriers” in the process of bioaccumulation have only been conducted on a few organic contaminants. In this study, we employed machine learning algorithms to predict the sorption capacity of 83.exogenous organic pollutants(in CCL4) on microplastics, the prediction model exhibits exceptional predictive performance,achieving R2.alues of 0.8651 and 0.6962. RMSE values of 0.462. and 0.1841 for the sorption coefficients Kfand n, respectively,and quantitatively estimated the contribution of microplastics to the bioaccumulation levels of organic pollutants in Gadus mor{3.a. By considering both natural and microplastic-ingesting pathways, we demonstrated that the ingestion of microplastics containing organic pollutants facilitates the entry of organic pollutants into Gadus mor{3.a. However, due to their robust sorption capacity, microplastics transport the organic pollutants accumulated through the natural pathway out of the fish, thereby preventing bioaccumulation. These findings elucidate the “cleaning” mechanism of microplastics concerning various organic pollutants in aquatic organisms, providing valuable insights for accurately assessing the risk of microplastics in aquatic environments.

New strategies for asymmetric photocatalysis: asymmetric organocatalytic/photoredox relay catalysis for efficient synthesis of polycyclic compounds containing vicinal amino alcohols

An asymmetric catalytic strategy in photocatalysis utilizing a chirality-induced approach through an organocatalytic/photoredox relay catalysis strategy is successfully achieved for the rapid construction of polycyclic compounds containing vicinal amino alcohols in a one-pot protocol. This methodology facilitates the efficient synthesis of diverse substituted polycyclic tetrahydroquinoline and benzofuran-derived vicinal amino alcohols, each containing five consecutive chiral centers, with high yields,excellent diastereoselectivities and enantioselectivities(up to 95% yield, >2.:1 dr and 98% ee), under mild reaction conditions driven by sequential bifunctional squaramide organocatalyst-catalyzed [4+2. annulation and photocatalyst-catalyzed ketyl radical addition cyclization reaction process. Furthermore, investigations into the stereoselectivity mechanism and high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS) experiments on free radical trapping have provided evidence for elucidating the detailed mechanism of chirality-induced processes and chiral intermediate conversions in this procedure.

Flame-retardant Mechanism of Magnesium Oxychloride in Epoxy Resin

Flame-retardant mechanism of magnesium oxychloride （M OC） in EP was in-vestigated by limiting oxygen index （LOI）, XRD, SEM, TG-DTG and DSC. The results show that MOC performed well as an inorganic flame-retardant in EP. When the content of MOC is 50%, the LOI of EP reaches 2..6% and mass of residual char reaches 9.6%. The flame retarde mechanism of MOC is due to the synergies of diluting, cooling, catalyzing char forming and obstructing effects.

Polar set of Markov processes is an important concept in probabilistic potential theory, but it is not easy to judge the polarity of the sets. In this paper, we give some results which can be easily used to examine the polarity of the sets whenX t belongs to a special class of Levy processes. We also give a result about polar functions of symmetric stable processes.
