The mechanism of cell damage during acute pancreatitis (AP) has not been fully elucidated, and there is still a lack of specific or effective treatments. Increasing evidence has implicated mitochondrial dysfunction as a key event in the pathophysiology of AP. Mitochondrial dysfunction is closely related to calcium (Ca2+) overload, intracellular adenosine triphosphate depletion, mitochondrial permeability transition pore openings, loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, mitophagy damage and inflammatory responses. Mitochondrial dysfunction is an early triggering event in the initiation and development of AP,and this organelle damage may precede the release of inflammatory cytokines, intracellular trypsin activation and vacuole formation of pancreatic acinar cells. This review provides further insight into the role of mitochondria in both physiological and pathophysiological aspects of AP, aiming to improve our understanding of the underlying mechanism which may lead to the development of therapeutic and preventive strategies for AP.

Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)are highly harmful to human beings and other organisms,and thus the elimination of VOCs is extremely ***,La-Si co-doped TiO_(2)microsphere photocatalysts,which were prepared by a hydrothermal method,exhibited high photocatalytic activity in the decomposition of formaldehyde compared with TiO_(2).The improved activity can be attributed to the promoted separation efficiency and density of the charge carriers,as verified by the electrochemical results in combination with density functional theory *** addition,the Si dopant changed the microstructure and surface acidity,while the addition of La promoted the separation efficiency of charge *** interestingly,it was found that singlet oxygen was the key species in the activation of molecular dioxygen,and it played a pivotal role in the photocatalytic decomposition of *** work provides a novel strategy for the selective activation of dioxygen for use in the decomposition of formaldehyde.

LSPR spectral properties of Au nano-ring arrays and single Au nanoparticles

In this paper, we simulate Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance(LSPR) absorption of periodic Au nano-ring arrays and single Au nanoparticles using the Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD) method. We choose input plane waves of different wavelengths and discuss the relation between the absorption peak of the Au array and the variable external dielectric constants. It is found that the sensitivity of these sensors based on LSPR is improved compared to the common sensors and the enhancement is caused by the periodical structure. We also investigate the spectrum characteristic of a single Au nanoparticle and discuss the relation between the absorption peak and the size of the nanoparticle.

17α-methyltestosterone(17α-MT)is an emerging pollutant,which is harmful to the endocrine system and reproduction of *** investigated the effects of different concentrations of 17α-MT(0,5,30,60,and 100 mg/kg)on endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)and apoptosis in the liver of Takifugu *** show that:(1)with the increase of 17α-MT treatment concentration,liver transaminases(alanine aminotransferase;aspartate aminotransferase)and the mRNA expression of ERS marker genes(glucose-regulated protein 78;calreticulin)of *** were significantly increased compared with the control group(P<0.05);(2)the activity of succinate dehydrogenase(SDH),Caspase3 and Caspase9 in the liver of *** increased with the increase of 17α-MT concentration compared with the control group(P<0.05);(3)by using 4-phenylbutyricacid(4-PBA)inhibitors to stimulate ERS through in vitro experiments,the expression of ERS and apoptosis-related genes significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the apoptosis rate of *** hepatocytes was significantly inhibited(P<0.05)under 17α-MT *** study confirmed that ERS played an important role in the induction of apoptosis in the hepatocytes of ***,which enriched the ecotoxicological information of environmental androgens.

Psychometric Properties of the Shortened Committed Action Questionnaire(CAQ-8):Evidence from Classical Test Theory and Network Analysis

Objectives:This study aimed to assess the reliability and validity of the abbreviated Committed Action Questionnaire(CAQ-8)in a cohort of 1635 Chinese university ***:Participants completed the Chinese version of the CAQ-8 along with other standardized measures,including the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II(AAQ-II),the Valuing Questionnaire(VQ),the Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS),the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales(DASS-21),and the World Health Organization Fiveitem Well-Being Index(WHO-5).A retest was conducted one month later with 300 valid ***:Exploratory factor analysis(n=818)identified a 2-factor structure,confirmed through validated factor analysis(n=817),showing good fit indices(CFI=0.990,RMSEA=0.040).Measurement equivalence across genders was *** CAQ-8 showed significant positive correlations with life satisfaction,mental health,and values,and negative correlations with depression,anxiety,stress,and experiential *** scale demonstrated good internal consistency(Cronbach’sα=0.76)and retest reliability(ICC=0.70).Network analysis confirmed the robustness of the 2-factor model,with item 4 in CAQ-8 identified as a core ***:The CAQ-8 is a reliable and valid tool for measuring committed action within the psychological flexibility model in Chinese populations.

根据TMM(传输矩阵理论),对采用ZnMgO/ZnO为工作物质的紫外波段DFB(分布反馈)半导体激光器的结构进行设计与仿真。当占空比为0.5,光栅周期为92.5nm,光栅高度为65nm时,得到了364.8nm出射波长。通过改变有源层的厚度,分析了不同有源层厚度时激光器阈值电流与输出功率的关系。仿真结果表明,有源层太厚会减弱对载流子的限制作用,使阈值电流增大;而有源层太薄时,波导层对光子的限制效果减弱,导致损耗增大,功率下降,阈值电流增大。所以合理选取有源层厚度可改善DFB激光器的电流功率特性。
