Reperfusion of the rat brain tissues following acute ischemia： the correlation among diffusion-weighted imaging, histopathology, and aquaporin-4 expression

Background Although some studies have reported that aquaporin-4 （AQP4） plays a role in the post-ischemic edema formation and diffusion-weighted imaging （DWI）, little is known about the AQP4 expression in stage of the reperfusion following acute cerebral ischemia, as well as the correlation between histopathology and DWl. The aim of the study was to investigate the correlation among DWl, histopathology and the AQP4 expression in the reperfused rat brain tissues following acute *** Seventy Wistar rats were randomly divided into a control group （group A）, and several occluded and reperfusion groups. They had their middle cerebral artery unilaterally occluded （MCAO） for 30 minutes （group B） followed by 30 minutes （group D） or 60 minutes （group E） of reperfusion, or 60 minutes of MCAO （group C） followed by 30 minutes （group F）, or 60 minutes （group G） of reperfusion （n=10 for each group）. All rats underwent DWl *** relative apparent diffusion coefficient （rADC） value of each rat was calculated. All the rats were sacrificed and the cerebral ischemic tissues were examined for histopathology. Real-time fluro-quantitative polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and Western-blotting were performed. The amount of AQP4 mRNA （Ex △△Ct） and AQP4 protein （Q） was statistically analyzed. The correlation between rADC values and AQP4 mRNA expression was analyzed with the Pearson correlation *** In all the reperfusion groups, the areas of hyper-intensity signal in DWl were decreased, and the rADC value increased and the AQP4 expression decreased significantly compared with the occluded group （t=26.89, t=18.26, P〈0.01）. There was a negative correlation between AQP4 mRNA expression and rADC values （r=-0.72, P〈0.01）. 目的研究一次性尿管联合人工破膜及催产素在足月妊娠产妇促宫颈成熟中的应用效果。方法回顾性分析2021年3月至2023年10月濮阳县人民医院收治的165例足月妊娠产妇的临床资料,按照不同催产方法分组,其中55例采用缩宫素催产产妇纳入A组,59例采用人工破膜+缩宫素催产产妇纳入B组,51例采用一次性尿管+人工破膜+缩宫素催产产妇纳入C组。比较三组产妇催产前及催产12 h的宫颈成熟度(Bishop评分);比较三组产妇促宫颈成熟有效率,以及催产至规律宫缩时间,第一产程、第二产程及第三产程时间,剖宫产及阴道分娩率和产妇的母婴结局。结果三组产妇催产12 h的Bishop评分均高于催产前,C组产妇Bishop评分为(8.92±1.53)分,明显高于B组的(7.72±1.24)分及A组的(6.75±0.81)分,B组产妇的Bishop评分高于A组,差异均有统计学意义(P0.05);三组产妇产后的并发症总发生率及新生儿不良结局发生率比较差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论一次性尿管联合人工破膜及催产素对足月妊娠产妇促宫颈成熟效果显著,且能够缩短产程,提高自然分娩率,安全性高。

Relationship between AQP4 expression and structural damage to the blood-brain barrier at early stages of traumatic brain injury in rats

Background Although some studies have reported that aquaporin-4 （AQP4） plays an important role in the brain edema after traumatic brain injury （TBI）, little is known about the AQP4 expression in the early stage of TBI, or about the correlation between the structural damage to the blood-brain barrier （BBB） and angioedema. The aim of this project was to investigate the relationship between AQP4 expression and damage to the BBB at early stages of TBI. Methods One hundred and twenty healthy adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups： sham operation group （SO） and TBI group. The TBI group was divided into five sub-groups according to the different time intervals： 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours. The brains of the animals were taken out at different time points after TBI to measure brain water content. The cerebral edema and BBB changes in structure were examined with an optical microscopy （OM） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, and the IgG content and AQP4 protein expression in traumatic brain tissue were determined by means of immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. The data were analyzed with SPSS 13.0 statistical software. Results In the SO group, tissue was negative for IgG, and there were no abnormalities in brain water content or AQP4 expression. In the TBI group, brain water content significantly increased at 6 hours and peaked at 24 hours following injury. IgG expression significantly increased from 1 to 6 hours following injury, and remained at a high level at 24 hours. Pathological observation revealed BBB damage at 1 hour following injury. Angioedema appeared at 1 hour, was gradually aggravated, and became obvious at 6 hours. Intracellular edema occurred at 3 hours, with the presence of large glial cell bodies and mitochondrial swelling. These phenomena were aggravated with time and became obvious at 12 hours. Fixed-bed column study for deep removal of copper(Ⅱ) from simulated cobalt electrolyte using polystyrene-supported 2-aminomethylpyridine chelating resin

This study presents the deep removal of copper (Ⅱ) from the simulated cobalt electrolyte using fabricated polystyrene-supported 2-aminomethylpyridine chelating resin (PS-AMP) in a *** effects of bed height (7.0–14.0 cm),feed flow rate (4.5–9.0 mL/min),initial copper (Ⅱ) concentration of the feed (250–1000 mg/L),feed temperature (25–40 ℃) and the value of pH (2.0–4.0) on the adsorption process of the PS-AMP resin were *** experimental data showed that the PS-AMP resin can deeply eliminate copper (Ⅱ) from the simulated cobalt *** bed height,feed flow rate,initial copper (Ⅱ) concentration of the feed,feed temperature and feed pH value which corresponded to the highest removal of copper (Ⅱ) were 7.0 cm with 35 mm of the column diameter,4.5 mL/min,40℃,1000 mg/L and 4.0,*** breakthrough capacity,the saturated capacity of the column and the mass ratio of Cu/Co (g/g) in the saturated resin were correspondingly 16.51 mg/g dry resin,61.72 mg/g dry resin and 37.67 under the optimal experimental *** copper (Ⅱ) breakthrough curves were fitted by the empirical models of Thomas,Yoon-Nelson and Adam-Bohart,*** Thomas model was found to be the most suitable one for predicting how the concentration of copper (Ⅱ) in the effluent changes with the adsorption time.

目的探讨宫腔球囊联合水囊放置术在前置胎盘剖宫产后出血患者中的应用效果。方法选取2019年1月至2024年2月在濮阳县人民医院妇产科接受宫腔球囊联合水囊放置治疗的38例前置胎盘剖宫产后出血孕妇作为研究组,同期采用宫腔水囊放置治疗的38例前置胎盘剖宫产后出血孕妇作为对照组。比较两组孕妇产后24h的止血效果、手术指标(产妇控制出血时间、填塞至产后24h出血量、填塞物放置时间和住院时间),术前及术后24h的产妇血红细胞及血红蛋白浓度和术后并发症发生情况。结果产后24h,研究组孕妇的止血总有效率为100.00%,略高于对照组的94.74%,但差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);研究组孕妇的控制出血时间、填塞至产后24 h出血量、填塞物放置时间分别为(15.29±3.28)min、(80.04±10.17)mL、(28.17±1.93)h,明显少于对照组的(20.03±3.14)min、(84.19±12.04)mL、(30.08±2.47)h,差异均有统计学意义(P0.05);两组孕妇术前红细胞、血红蛋白水平比较差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);术后24h,两组孕妇的红细胞、血红蛋白水平均低于术前,差异均有统计学意义(P0.05);研究组孕妇术后并发症发生率为2.63%,略低于对照组的10.53%,但差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论宫腔水囊放置术治疗前置胎盘剖宫产后出血的止血效果与宫腔球囊联合水囊放置术相似,但宫腔球囊联合水囊放置控制出血时间及填塞至产后24h出血量更少,填塞物放置时间更短,安全性均较高,临床可结合孕妇实践情况灵活选择治疗方式。

Effects of mechanical activation and oxidation-reduction on hydrochloric acid leaching of Panxi ilmenite concentration

The effects of oxidation-reduction treatment and mechanical activation on the hydrochloric acid leaching performance of Panxi ilmenite concentration were *** results show that both of oxidation-reduction treatment and mechanical activation significantly accelerate the extraction of Fe,Ca and Mg from Panxi ilmenite concentration;however,the CaO and MgO contents of the calcined residues obtained from oxidized-reduced ilmenite concentration are higher than the standard values required by chlorination *** Ca and Mg in oxidized-reduced ilmenite concentration can be leached much faster after mechanical activation,yielding a synthetic rutile which meets the requirements of chlorination process containing 90.50% TiO2 and 1.37% total iron as well as combined CaO and MgO of 1.00%.The optimum oxidation and reduction conditions are as follows：oxidization at 900 ℃ in the presence of oxygen for 15 min and reduction at 750 ℃ by hydrogen for 30 min.

The leaching kinetics of low-grade copper ore with high-alkality gangues was studied in ammonia-ammonium sulphate *** main parameters,such as ammonia and ammonium sulphate concentrations,particle size,solid-to-liquid ratio and reaction temperature,were chosen in the *** results show that the increase of temperature,concentrations of ammonia and ammonium sulphate is propitious to the leaching rate of copper *** leaching rate increases with the decrease of particle size and solid-to-liquid *** leaching rate is controlled by the diffusion through the ash layer and the activation energy is determined to be 25.54 kJ/mol.A semi-empirical equation was proposed to describe the leaching kinetics.

Synergistic extraction of zinc from ammoniacal solutions using β-diketone mixed with CYANEX923 or LIX84I

The extraction behaviors of zinc from ammoniacal solutions were investigated using β-diketone （HA） and their mixtures with CYANEX923 or LIX84I. The effects of pH, total ammonia concentration, extractant concentration, anion species and temperature on zinc extraction were examined. The synergistic mechanism was discussed with regard to the structure of extractant and the extracted zinc complexes. It is found that the increase of total ammonia concentration and pH inhibits zinc extraction for all extraction systems due to the formation of zinc ammine complexes in aqueous phase. This effect of HA with CYANEX923 is evidently smaller than that of HA with LIX84I or HA alone system. Effect of anion species on the zinc extraction by HA with CYANEX923 can be neglected, but this effect of HA alone and the mixture of HA with LIX84I decreases in the order of （NH4）2SO4 〉 NH4NO3 〉 NH4Cl.
