Immunotherapy represents a promising strategy for cancer treatment that utilizes immune cells or drugs to activate the patient's own immune system and eliminate cancer *** of the most exciting advances within this field is the targeting of neoantigens,which are peptides derived from non-synonymous somatic mutations that are found exclusively within cancer cells and absent in normal *** neoantigen-based therapeutic vaccines have not received approval for standard cancer treatment,early clinical trials have yielded encouraging outcomes as standalone monotherapy or when combined with checkpoint *** made in high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics have greatly facilitated the precise and efficient identification of ***,personalized neoantigen-based vaccines tailored to each patient have been developed that are capable of eliciting a robust and long-lasting immune response which effectively eliminates tumors and prevents *** review provides a concise overview consolidating the latest clinical advances in neoantigen-based therapeutic vaccines,and also discusses challenges and future perspectives for this innovative approach,particularly emphasizing the potential of neoantigen-based therapeutic vaccines to enhance clinical efficacy against advanced solid tumors.

Detecting short-term gravitational waves from post-merger hyper-massive neutron stars with a kilohertz detector

Gravitational waves emanating from binary neutron star inspirals,alongside electromagnetic transients resulting from the aftermath of the GW170817 merger,have been successfully ***,the intricate post-merger dynamics that bridge these two sets of observables remain *** includes if,and when,the post-merger remnant star collapses to a black hole,and what are the necessary conditions to power a short gamma-ray burst,and other observed electromagnetic *** focus is on the detection of gravitational wave(GW)emissions from hyper-massive neutron stars(NSs)formed through binary neutron star(BNS)*** several kilohertz GW detectors,we simulate BNS mergers within the detection limits of LIGO-Virgo-KARGA *** objective is to ascertain the fraction of simulated sources that may emit detectable post-merger GW *** kilohertz detectors equipped with a new cavity design,we estimate that approximately 1.1%-32.of sources would emit a detectable post-merger GW *** fraction is contingent on the mass converted into gravitational wave energy,ranging from 0.01M_(sun)to 0.1M_(sun).Furthermore,by evaluating other well-regarded proposed kilohertz GW detectors,we anticipate that the fraction can increase to as much as 2.1%-61%under optimal performance conditions.

Rare earth inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on Keggin-type polyoxometalate {SiW_(12.} with fast-responsive photochromism and switchable luminescence properties

Four rare earth inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on Keggin-type polyoxometalate {SiW_(12.}with general formula [{RE(DMF)_(4)(H_(2.O)_4RE(DMF)_(6)}_(2.{SiW_(12.O_(40)}_(3)](RE = La(1),Pr(2.,Sm(3),Eu(4),DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide) were synthesized by the conventional solution *** analyses indicate that four compounds are isostructural and are all built from three [SiW_(12.O_(40)]^(4-) polyoxoanions and DMF ligands linked by RE^(3+).Compounds 1-4 are extremely sensitive to UV light and present excellent photochromic properties,in which the coloring and fading time of samples are both no more than 2.min,and the reversible coloring-fading process can be repeated for at least 10 cycles with little fatigue,suggesting that compounds 1-4 can be a series of fast-responsive and durable photochromic ***,the solid-state photoluminescence spectra of compounds 3(Sm) and 4(Eu)display strong characteristic emissions of rare earth ions based on f-f ***,compound4(Eu) has a longer fluorescence lifetime up to 566.74 μ***,co mpounds 3(Sm) and 4(Eu) exhibit the switchable luminescence behavior induced by photochromism,which allows them to be used as potential molecular switches.

The utilization of solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)presents a promising solution to the issues of safety concern and shuttle effect in Li–S batteries,which has garnered significant interest ***,the high interfacial impedances existing between the SSEs and the electrodes(both lithium anodes and sulfur cathodes)hinder the charge transfer and intensify the uneven deposition of lithium,which ultimately result in insufficient capacity utilization and poor cycling ***,the reduction of interfacial resistance between SSEs and electrodes is of paramount importance in the pursuit of efficacious solid-state *** this review,we focus on the experimental strategies employed to enhance the interfacial contact between SSEs and electrodes,and summarize recent progresses of their applications in solidstate Li–S ***,the challenges and perspectives of rational interfacial design in practical solid-state Li–S batteries are outlined as *** expect that this review will provide new insights into the further technique development and practical applications of solid-state lithium batteries.

Graphene as adsorbent for highly efficient extraction of modified nucleosides in urine prior to liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry analysis

RNA modifications have been involved in numerous biological processes, and aberrations of these modifications are tightly associated with various diseases including cancer. Herein, we developed graphenebased solid-phase extraction and robust ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS) combined with stable isotope-dilution for simultaneous enrichment and accurate determination of 17 modified nucleosides in human urine. We found graphene could effectively adsorb various modified nucleosides in human urine samples. With this method, we identified and quantified these modified nucleosides in urine samples collected from lung cancer patients and healthy *** revealed that the levels of 12.modified nucleosides were all diminished in urine from lung cancer patients, compared with healthy controls. It is worth noting that we demonstrated, for the first time, the presence of 5,2.O-dimethyluridine(m~5U_m) in human urine. Together, we established a robust analytical method for simultaneous determinations of 17 modified nucleosides in human urine, and our results revealed a close correlation between the concentrations of urinary modified nucleosides and the occurrence of lung cancer, implying the potential applications of these modified nucleosides as noninvasive biomarkers for the early detection of lung cancer. Moreover, this study will stimulate future investigations on the regulatory roles of RNA modifications in the initiation and progression of lung cancer.

Distribution Characteristics of Soil Organic Carbon of Alpine Meadow in the Eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

A study on the distribution characteristics of soil organic carbon （SOC） in the alpine meadow in the Eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has been carried out. The results indicate that the content of soil organic carbon （Csoc） in the topsoil of terrace meadow （TM）（（67.16 ±1.02. *** -1 is more than that in the soil of upland meadow （UM）（（63.42.±0.65） *** -1, while the Csoc in upland shrubland （US）（（67.49 ±0.83） ***-1 is the most abundant in the scoreh stage （September）. From May to September, the Csoc in the topsoil of UM and US tends to descend, but that of TM tends to ascend, As for the distribution of the Csoc and the density of SOC in the soil in the three sample areas, the data show that the deeper the soil, the lesser the content and density of SOC, The Csoc in US is higher than that in TM and UM; the Csoc in UM is the lowest at 0-1 cm soil depth. The density of SOC in US is always the lowest among UM, TM, and US at 0-40 cm depth, which shows that the storage of carbon in UM is more than that in US in the same range; the carbon pool capacity in UM is higher than that in US in the same range.

In hydraulic engineering, sometimes it is necessary to consider the stability of sliding bodies with lateral frictional boundaries. Neither the existing three dimensional limit equilibrium methods nor the commercial software products are able to treat such situations. The three dimensional factor of safety is accordingly underestimated; while the shearing strength based on the three dimensional back analysis is overestimated. In this study, the lateral boundaries are regarded as the part of the slip surface. Based on the expression of the normal pressure on the slip surface and the patch interpolation, a rigorous solution for the three dimensional limit equilibrium analysis is realized. Meanwhile, the proposed procedure is applied to the stability analysis of the slope with a cable platform on the right bank in Da Gang Shan hydraulic project under construction.

The Role of Family Migration in Child Development:A Propensity Score Matching Analysis Based on Migrant and Non-Migrant Infants and Young Children

Based on the survey data of 4,739 infants and young children(IYC)under 3 years old,the study uses the propensity score matching(PSM)method to examine the role of family migration in infant and young child development(IYCD).The study finds that the development of migrant IYC is significantly behind that of non-migrant IYC in the real-world *** controlling for confounders at the individual and family levels,there is no significant statistical difference in early development between migrant IYC and non-migrant ***,family migration does not play a significant role in IYCD in different subgroups after *** protect the rights of migrant families and IYC in accessing public services,the Chinese government should build a social security policy system for migrant families and ensure starting point fairness for migrant IYC.
