目的伤害是一个重要的公共卫生问题,无论在发达或是发展中国家,伤害是引起死亡及病残的重要原因,尤其是对儿童和青少年,伤害是引起死亡及病残的主要原因。2005年,全球大约有540万人死于伤害,其中的90%发生在中等及欠发达国家。据联合国估计伤害引起的死亡数在2015年将上升到600万人,在2030年将上升至700万。预计在2020年伤害将从现在的死亡原因的第9位上升至第6位。伤害是可以预测和预防的。在人们的观念中,伤害的发生往往是不可预知。因此伤害通常被称作‘意外伤害’。事实并非如此,根据哈登方阵无论在伤害发生前,发生时或是发生后均可通过个体,工具和环境来预防或是降低伤害。和所有的疾病一样伤害也是通过个体,病原(能量)及环境的相互作用发生的。伤害流行病学在伤害的分布及危险因素判断上有着非常重要的意义。伤害监测系统的建立是伤害预防的关键部分。伤害的预防要求多部门的合作。伤害的预防别于其它疾病的预防,除了卫生部门外它还需要其它部门的参与,如工程,公安,交通和法律部门等。

State estimation is a critical functionality of energy management system(EMS) to provide power system states in real-time operations. However, problems such as failure to converge, prone to failure during contingencies,and biased estimates while system is under stressed condition occur so that state estimation results may not be *** unreliable results further impact downstream network and market applications, such as contingency analysis,voltage stability analysis, transient stability analysis, system alarming, and unit commitment. Thus, operators may lose the awareness of system condition in EMS. This paper proposes a fully independent and one-of-a-kind system by integrating linear state estimator into situational awareness applications based on real-time synchrophasor data. With guaranteed and accurate state estimation solution and advanced real-time data analytic and monitoring functionalities, the system is capable of assisting operators to assess and diagnose current system conditions for proactive and necessary corrective actions. The architecture, building components, and implementation of the proposed system are explored in detail. Two case studies with simulated data from the subsystems of Electric Reliability Council of Texas(ERCOT) and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power(LADWP) are presented. The test results show the effectiveness and reliability of the system, and its value for realtime power system operations.

Rociletinib(CO-1686) enhanced efficacy of chemotherapeutic agents in ABCG2-overexpressing cancer cells in vitro and in vivo

The abnormal expression and function of ATP-binding cassette subfamily G member 2(ABCG2) is correlated with development of multidrug resistance(MDR), and lead to lower response to ***, there is no FDA-approved commercial MDR modulator for clinical use. Here, We found rociletinib(CO-1686), a mutant-selective epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKI), significantly improved the efficacy of substrate chemotherapeutic agents in ABCG2-overexpressing cancer cells and also in ABCG2-overexpressing S1-MI-80 cell xenografts in nude mice, without incurring additional toxicity. Mechanistic studies revealed that in ABCG2-overexpressing cancer cells, rociletinib inhibited ABCG2-mediated drug efflux, and increased intracellular accumulation of ABCG2 probe substrates. Moreover, rociletinib, inhibited the ATPase activity, and competed with [125 I] iodoarylazidoprazosin(IAAP) photolabeling of ABCG2. The expression of ABCG2 at protein and m RNA levels was not altered when ABCG2-overexpressing cells were treated with rociletinib. In addition, rociletinib did not inhibit Erb B downstream signaling of AKT and ERK and their phosphorylations. The all results showed that rociletinib increased the accumulation of substrates in cells by inhibiting the efflux function of ABCG2, and reversed ABCG2-related MDR. Therefore, rociletinib might be useful in developing combination chemotherapy in the patients with ABCG2-overexpressing MDR tumors.

Identifying Combinatorial Growth Inhibitory Effects of Various Plant Extracts on Leukemia Cells through Systematic Experimental Design

Plant extracts are widely studied for their anti-cancer and cancer preventive effects. In this study, we compared the leukemia growth inhibition effects of seven different plant extracts, theaflavin, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), epicathechin (EC), apigenin, quercetin, chrysin and tannic acid, in vitro using the K562 erythroleukemia cell line and application of the design of experiments (DoE) methodology. Our systematic approach enabled us to isolate the main factor contribution, two-factor interactions and produced interaction relationships and/or models to describe growth inhibitory effects of different plant extracts when they are used in combination. The results identified tannic acid as the most significant inhibitor in this group and had synergistic effects with EGCG at specific concentrations. The fitted model of their combined effects showed that the most potent combination is at low concentrations of tannic acid (10 - 20 μM) and high concentrations of EGCG (80 - 100 μM). We further showed that tannic acid induced both growth inhibition and apoptosis in K562 cells in ranges between 10 - 100 μM. The polyphenol caused cell cycle arrest at G2- phase under the higher concentrations. In summary, use of DoE techniques effectively identified the most prominent inducer in this group of plant bioactive compounds and produced combinatorial bioactivity of various polyphenols and flavonoids over the entire range of concentrations under study. This study exemplifies the usefulness of DoE and serves as a guide in its utility for in vitro assessment of bioactivity in plant constituents.

目的评价经皮开窗术治疗主动脉夹层引起的内脏及下肢缺血.方法 6例主动夹层并发内脏及下肢缺血患者行经皮开窗术,所有患者皆是 Stanford B型夹层,累及的血管有肾动脉(3条)、肠系膜动脉(1条)和下肢动脉(6条).4例行单纯经皮开窗术,1例行开窗及左肾动脉支架置入治疗,1例行开窗及腹主动脉和双侧髂总动脉支架置入治疗.1例患者于开窗后1个月行支架移植物复合体(stent-graft)腔内隔绝术.结果所有6例患者血管重建均成功,其中4例缺血症状消失,2例明显减轻.随访4～12个月,平均 7.6个月,1例患者术后3个月死于主动脉破裂出血,余5例仍存活.无严重的手术相关并发症.结论经皮开窗术或经皮开窗结合支架置入是1种安全、有效的治疗主动脉夹层引起的内脏及下肢缺血的方法.
