High-performance Bi_(2)S_(3)/ZnO photoanode enabled by interfacial engineering with oxyanion for efficient photoelectrochemical water oxidation

In the present contribution,we demonstrate that the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)over the bismuth sulfide(Bi_(2)S_(3))photoanode,which severely restricts its photoelectrochemical activity,is markedly accelerated by employing a sulfatecontaining ***-principle calculation points to the spontaneous adsorption of sulfate(SO_(4)^(2−))on Bi_(2)S_(3)and its capacity of stabilizing the OER intermediates through hydrogen bonding,which is further reinforced by increasing the local density of states near the Fermi level of Bi_(2)S_(3).Meanwhile,the electron transfer is also promoted to synergistically render the ratedetermining step(from O*to OOH*)of OER over Bi_(2)S_(3)kinetically *** but not least,benefitting from such enhanced OER activity and efficient charge separation resulted from depositing Bi_(2)S_(3)on the zinc oxide nanorods(ZnO NRs),forming a core–shell heterojunction,its photocurrent density achieves 8.61 mA·cm^(−2)at 1.23 VRhe,far surpassing those reported for additional Bi_(2)S_(3)-based and several state-of-the-art photoanodes in the literature and further exceeding their theoretical *** great promise of the Bi_(2)S_(3)/ZnO NRs is in view of such outperformance,the superior Faradaic yield of oxygen of more than~80%and the outstanding half-cell applied bias photon-to-current efficiency of~1%well corroborated.

As a highly aggressive tumor,the pathophysiological mechanism of primary liver cancer has attracted much *** recent years,factors such as ferroptosis regulation,lipid peroxidation and metabolic abnormalities have emerged in the study of liver cancer,providing a new perspective for understanding the development of liver *** regulation,lipid peroxidation and metabolic abnormalities play important roles in the occurrence and development of liver *** regulation of ferroptosis is involved in apoptosis and necrosis,affecting cell survival and *** peroxidation promotes oxidative damage and promotes the invasion of liver cancer *** abnormalities,especially the disorders of glucose and lipid metabolism,directly affect the proliferation and growth of liver cancer *** of ferroptosis regulation and lipid peroxidation may help to discover new therapeutic targets and improve therapeutic *** understanding of metabolic abnormalities can provide new ideas for the prevention of liver cancer,and reduce the risk of disease by adjusting the metabolic *** review focuses on the key roles of ferroptosis regulation,lipid peroxidation and metabolic abnormalities in this process.

A late Carboniferous transition from subduction to collision:Tectonosedimentary evidence from southern Junggar,NW China

The Carboniferous to Permian tectono-sedimentary evolution of the southern Junggar area brings new insights into understanding the subduction-collision processes in the northern Tianshan *** geophysics,geochemistry,and geochronology approaches,this study investigates the Carboniferous-Permian strata in the southern Junggar *** results have revealed three distinct tectono-stratigraphic evolutionary stages,each marked by a distinctive volcano-sedimentary *** Early Carboniferous strata suggest intense volcanic activities in the southern Junggar *** the Late Carboniferous,the southern Junggar Basin was controlled by normal faulting in an extensional setting,receiving sedimentary inputs from the Junggar *** Lower Permian,unconformably overlying the Upper Carboniferous,was shaped by an extensional regime and is comprised by volcano-clastic sequences that received detritus from the Yili-Central Tianshan *** findings indicate that a Late Carboniferous forearc basin developed in the southern Junggar area,and it evolved into a post-collisional rift in the Early *** period marked a dynamic shift from bidirectional subduction(rollback)to the detachment of the North Tianshan oceanic *** propose that the collision between the YiliCentral Tianshan block and the Junggar terrane,along with the closure of the North Tianshan Ocean,likely occurred in the Late Carboniferous(ca.306-303 Ma).

Suppressed Internal Intrinsic Stress Engineering in High-Performance Ni-Rich Cathode Via Multi layered In Situ Coating Structure

LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Al_(z)O_(2)(NCA)cathode materials are drawing widespread attention,but the huge gap between the ideal and present cyclic stability still hinders their further commercial application,especially for the Ni-rich LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Al_(z)O_(2)(x>0.8,x+y+z=1)cathode material,which is owing to the structural degradation and particles'intrinsic *** tackle the problems,Li_(0.5)La_(2)Al_(0.5)O_(4)in situ coated and Mn compensating doped multilayer LiNi_(0.82)Co_(0.14)Al_(0.04)O_(2)was *** refinement indicates that La-Mn co-modifying could realize appropriate Li/Ni disorder *** results and in situ XRD patterns reveal that the LLAO coating layer could effectively restrain crack in secondary particles benefited from the suppressed internal *** further improves as NCA-LM2 has superior mechanical *** SEM,TEM,XPS tests indicate that the cycled cathode with LLAO-Mn modification displays a more complete morphology and less side reaction with *** was used to further investigate cathode-electrolyte interface which was reflected by gas ***-LM2 releases less CO_(2)than NCA-P indexing on a more stable *** modified material presents outstanding capacity retention of 96.2%after 100 cycles in the voltage range of 3.0-4.4 V at 1C,13%higher than that of the pristine and 80.8%at 1 C after 300 *** excellent electrochemical performance could be attributed to the fact that the high chemically stable coating layer of Li_(0.5)La_(2)Al_(0.5)O_(4)(LLAO)could enhance the interface and the Mn doping layer could suppress the influence of the lattice mismatch and *** believe that it can be a useful strategy for the modification of Ni-rich cathode material and other advanced functional material.

Efficient Pt/KFI zeolite catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NOxby hydrogen

Aiming at purification of NO_(x)from hydrogen internal combustion engines(HICEs),the hydrogen selective catalytic reduction(H_(2)-SCR)reaction was investigated over a series of Pt/KFI zeolite catalysts.H_(2)can readily reduce NO_(x)to N_(2)and N_(2)O while O_(2)inhibited the deNO_(x)efficiency by consuming the reductant H_(2).The Pt/KFI zeolite catalysts with Pt loading below 0.1wt.% are optimized H_(2)-SCR catalysts due to its suitable operation temperature window since high Pt loading favors the H_(2)-O_(2)reaction which lead to the insufficient of *** to metal Pt^(0)species,Pt^(δ+)species showed lower activation energy of H_(2)-SCR reaction and thought to be as reasonable active ***,Eley-Rideal(E-R)reaction mechanism was proposed as evidenced by the reaction orders in kinetic ***,the optimized reactor was designed with hybrid Pt/KFI catalysts with various Pt loading which achieve a high NO_(x)conversion in a wide temperature range.

Adaptive detection of range-spread targets is considered in the presence of subspace interference plus Gaussian clutter with unknown covariance *** target signal and interference are supposed to lie in two linearly independent subspaces with deterministic but unknown *** on the two-step criteria,two adaptive detectors based on Gradient tests are proposed,in homogeneous and partially homogeneous clutter plus subspace interference,*** of the proposed detectors exhibit theoretically constant false alarm rate property against unknown clutter covariance matrix as well as the power *** results show that,the proposed detectors have better performance than their existing counterparts,especially for mismatches in the signal steering vectors.

Tribological Behaviors of Electroless Nickel-Boron Coating on Titanium Alloy Surface

Titanium alloys are excellent structural materials in engineering fields,but their poor tribological properties limit their further *** plating is an effective method to enhance the tribological performance of alloys,but it is difficult to efficiently apply to titanium alloys,due to titanium alloy’s strong chemical *** this work,the electroless Nickel-Boron(Ni-B)coating was successfully deposited on the surface of titanium alloy(Ti-6AL-4V)via a new pre-treatment ***,linearly reciprocating sliding wear tests were performed to evaluate the tribological behaviors of titanium alloy and its electroless Ni-B *** was found that the Ni-B coatings can decrease the wear rate of the titanium alloy from 19.89×10^(−3)mm^(3)to 0.41×10^(−3)mm^(3),which attributes to the much higher hardness of Ni-B *** heat treatment,the hardness of Ni-B coating further increases corresponding to coating crystallization and hard phase ***,heat treatment does not improve the tribological performance of Ni-B coating,due to the fact that higher brittleness and more severe oxidative wear exacerbate the damage of heat-treated ***,the Ni-B coatings heat-treated both in air and nitrogen almost present the same tribological *** finding of this work on electroless coating would further extend the practical applications of titanium alloys in the engineering fields.

Hydrogen embrittlement of pipelines depends on the hydrogen-induced cracking behavior of the pipeline steel *** on molecular dynamics analysis,the ferrite–cementite(α-Fe/Fe3C)lamellar atomic structure with the Bagaryatskii orientation relationship was established,and stepwise relaxation of the conjugate gradient energy minimization and constant-temperature and constant-pressure relaxation were performed under NPT(the isothermal–isobaric)*** mechanical property curves of theα-Fe/Fe3C models were obtained under different cementite terminal plane structures,and the evolution of the atomic structure was analyzed in *** addition,the influence of different hydrogen concentrations,different temperatures,different strain rates,changes in voids,and different micro-degrees of freedom on the deformation and failure mechanism of the model was investigated,aiming to provide a reliable way to explore the micro-mechanism of macro-cracking behavior of pipeline steel.
