A novel layered perovskite tantalate phosphor Sr_(3)LaTa_(3)O_(12):Sm^(3+)(SLTO:Sm^(3+)) with orange-red emission was obtained for the first time via the solid-phase synthetic method. The phase purity, surface morphology,element distribution and luminescent properties of the SLTO:xSm^(3+)(x= 0.01 mol%-0.30 mol%) phosphors were investigated. Under 408 nm excitation, the optimum doped SLTO:0.10Sm^(3+) phosphor emits orangered light at 598 nm with the highest emission peak(4G_(5/2)→6H_(7/2)). The critical energy transfer distance is 1.687 nm. The prepared SLTO:0.10Sm^(3+)phosphor has excellent thermal stability with temperature quenching temperature(T_(0.5)> 500 K) and high activation energy(E_(a)= 0.25 e V). Through calculation, the chromaticity coordinates of all samples are concentrated in the orange-red area, and the color purity reaches 99%. The fabricated white light-emitting diode(w-LED) has a good correlated color temperature(5132 K), a high R_(a)(89), and the CIE chromaticity coordinates(0.340, 0.327). Consequently, the superiority of orange-red-emitting tantalate SLTO:Sm^(3+) phosphors for w-LEDs is demonstrated.

AIM:To investigate the antioxidant protective effect of Lycium barbarum glycopeptide(LbGP)pretreatment on retinal ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)injury(RIRI)in ***:RIRI was induced in Sprague Dawley rats through anterior chamber perfusion,and pretreatment involved administering LbGP via gavage for *** 24h of reperfusion,serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and creatinine(CREA)levels,retinal structure,expression of Caspase-3 and Caspase-8,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity,and malondialdehyde(MDA)in the retina were ***:The pretreatment with LbGP effectively protected the retina and retinal tissue from edema and inflammation in the ganglion cell layer(GCL)and nerve fiber layer(NFL)of rats subjected to RIRI,as shown by light microscopy and optical coherence tomography(OCT).Serum AST was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.042),but no difference was found in ALT,AST,and CREA across the LbGP groups and model ***-3 expression was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.006),but no difference was found among LbGP groups and the model ***-8 expression was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.000),and lower in the 400 mg/kg LbGP group than in the model group(P=0.016).SOD activity was lower in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.001),and the decrease was slower in the 400 mg/kg LbGP group than in the model group(P=0.003).MDA content was higher in the model group than in the blank group(P=0.001),and lower in the 400 mg/kg LbGP group than in the model group(P=0.016).The pretreatment with LbGP did not result in any observed liver or renal toxicity in the ***:LbGP pretreatment exhibits dosedependent anti-inflammatory,and antioxidative effects by reducing Caspase-8 expression,preventing declines of SOD activity,and decreasing MDA content in the RIRI rat model.

The commercial viability of thermoelectric(TE)devices relies heavily on two factors:cost reduction and efficiency *** this study,we first produce p-type Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(16-x)(x=0,3,4)using a low-temperature bottom-up approach and demonstrate Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)to show the best TE performance among the three tested ***,the TE energy conversion efficiency of Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)is further enhanced by optimizing its electronic band structure through the incorporation of small amounts of *** an optimal Te content of 5 mol%,more than a twofold increase in the TE figure of merit(zT)is *** gain insight into the mechanism of improvement on the transport properties of the mate-rial,we compare the interphase transport mechanism by incorporating nanodomains of different metals(Ag and Cu)into the Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)*** improved electrical conductivity obtained with Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)-Te nanocomposites is attributed to a charge flooding of the Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)*** contrast,excessive down-ward band-bending at the interphases of Ag/Cu metal-semiconductor drastically reduces the electrical ***,a weighted mobility(μw)analysis shows a dominant thermal activation of carri-ers in Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)-Te *** this material,a strong decrease in lattice thermal conductivity is also found,which is associated with a phonon-carrier scattering *** work shows the impor-tance of proper band-engineering in TE nanocomposites to decouple electrical and thermal transport to enhance TE performance,and the efficacy ofμw for electrical and thermal transport analysis.

Certain plant species within the Apiales order accumulate triterpenoid saponins that feature a distinctive glucose-glucose-rhamnose(G-G-R)sugar chain attached at the C-28 position of the pentacyclic triterpene *** recently,the genomic basis underlying the biosynthesis and evolution of this sugar chain has remained *** this study,we identified two novel glycoside glycosyltransferases(GGTs)that can sequentially install the sugar chain’s second D-glucose and third L-rhamnose during the biosynthesis of asiaticoside and madecassoside,two representative G-G-R sugar chain-containing triterpenoid saponins produced by Centella *** assays revealed the remarkable substrate promiscuity of the two GGTs and the key residues crucial for sugar-donor selectivity of the glucosyltransferase and rhamnosyl*** further identified syntenic tandem gene duplicates of the two GGTs in the Apiaceae and Araliaceae families,suggesting a well-conserved genomic basis underlying sugar chain assembly that likely has evolved in the early ancestors of the Apiales ***,expression patterns of the two GGTs in pierced leaves of *** were found to be correlated with the production of asiaticoside and madecassoside,implying their involvement in host defense against herbivores and *** work sheds light on the biosynthesis and evolution of complex saponin sugars,paving the way for future engineering of diverse bioactive triterpenoids with unique glycoforms.

BACKGROUND The colon cancer prognosis is influenced by multiple factors,including clinical,pathological,and non-biological ***,only a few studies have focused on computed tomography(CT)imaging ***,this study aims to predict the prognosis of patients with colon cancer by combining CT imaging features with clinical and pathological characteristics,and establishes a nomogram to provide critical guidance for the individualized *** To establish and validate a nomogram to predict the overall survival(OS)of patients with colon *** A retrospective analysis was conducted on the survival data of 249 patients with colon cancer confirmed by surgical pathology between January 2017 and December *** patients were randomly divided into training and testing groups at a 1:1 *** and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify the independent risk factors associated with OS,and a nomogram model was constructed for the training *** curves were calculated using the Kaplan–Meier *** concordance index(C-index)and calibration curve were used to evaluate the nomogram model in the training and testing *** Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that lymph node metastasis on CT,perineural invasion,and tumor classification were independent prognostic factors.A nomogram incorporating these variables was constructed,and the C-index of the training and testing groups was 0.804 and 0.692,*** calibration curves demonstrated good consistency between the actual values and predicted probabilities of *** A nomogram combining CT imaging characteristics and clinicopathological factors exhibited good discrimination and *** can aid clinicians in risk stratification and postoperative monitoring and provide important guidance for the individualized treatment of patients with colon cancer.

1 Introduction Completely decomposed granite(CDG)is widely distributed in South China(Xu et al.,2022;Wang et al.,2023).The parent granite rock mass gradually loses features during the weathering process,and thus needs to be reinforced when used(Lan et al.,2003;Dassekpo et al.,2017;Alamanis et al.,2021).On the other hand,considering the huge demand for construction materials and limited natural resources,it is increasingly important to fully utilize solid waste(Gruhler et al.,2019;Anagnostopoulos et al.,2020;Jiang et al.,2022,2023a,2023b).With high strength and environment-friendly characteristics,incineration bottom ash(IBA)seems to be a suitable reinforcement material for CDG(Ahmed and Khalid,2011;Alhassan and Tankó,2012;Toraldo et al.,2013;Lynn et al.,2017;xuan et al.,2018;Tang et al.,2020).

In this study,to efficiently remove Pb(Ⅱ) from aqueous environments,a novel L-serine-modified polyethylene/polypropylene nonwoven fabric sorbent(NWF-serine)was fabricated through the radiation grafting of glycidyl methacrylate and subsequent L-serine *** effect of the absorbed dose was investigated in the range of 5–50 ***-serine was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis,and scanning electron *** adsorption tests were conducted to investigate the influences of pH,adsorption time,temperature,initial concentration,and sorbent dosage on the Pb(Ⅱ) adsorption performance of *** results indicated that Pb(Ⅱ) adsorption onto NWF-serine was an endothermic process,following the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm *** saturated adsorption capacity was 198.1 mg/***-serine exhibited Pb(Ⅱ) removal rates of 99.8% for aqueous solutions with initial concentrations of 100 mg/L and 82.1% for landfill leachate containing competitive metal ions such as Cd,Cu,Ni,Mn,and ***,NWF-serine maintained 86% of its Pb(Ⅱ) uptake after five use *** coordination of the carboxyl and amino groups with Pb(Ⅱ) was confirmed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and extended X-ray absorption fine structure analysis.

Neutron-skin thickness is a key parameter for a neutron-rich nucleus;however,it is difficult to *** the framework of the Lanzhou Quantum Molecular Dynamics(LQMD)model,a possible probe for the neutron-skin thickness(δ_(np))of neutron-rich ^(48)Ca was studied in the 140A MeV ^(48)Ca+^(9)Be projectile fragmentation reaction based on the parallel momentum distribution(p∥)of the residual fragments.A Fermi-type density distribution was employed to initiate the neutron density distributions in the LQMD simulations.A combined Gaussian function with different width parameters for the left side(Γ_(L))and the right side(Γ_(R))in the distribution was used to describe the p∥of the residual *** neutron-rich sulfur isotopes as examples,Γ_(L) shows a sensitive correlation withδ_(np) of ^(48)Ca,and is proposed as a probe for determining the neutron skin thickness of the projectile nucleus.
