Contralateral C7 Nerve Root Transfer for Function Recovery in Adults： A Meta-analysis

Background：Root avulsion to all 5 roots of the brachial plexus is a common presentation and keeps a major reconstructive *** contralateral C7 （CC7） nerve transfer has been used in treating brachial plexus avulsion injury （BPAI） since ***,the effectiveness of the procedure remains a subject of *** aim of this meta-analysis was to study surgical outcomes regarding motor and sensory recovery after CC7 nerve ***：Chinese or English （i.e.,＂contralateral c-7＂,＂contralateral c7＂,＂c7 nerve root＂,and ＂seventh cervical nerve root＂） keywords were used for a literature search for articles related to CC7 nerve transfer in several databases （i.e.,PubMed,Cochrane,Embase,CNKI,CQVIP,and Wanfang Data）.Clinical research articles were screened,and animal studies as well as duplicate publications were *** strength and sensory recovery were considered to be effective only when the scores on the united Kingdom Medical Research Council scale were equal to or higher than M3 and S3,***：The overall ipsilateral recipient nerve recovery rates were as follows：the efficiency rate for muscle strength recovery after CC7 nerve transfer was 0.57 （95% confidence interval [CI]：0.48-0.66） and for sensory recovery was 0.52..95% CI：0.46-0.58）.When the recipient nerve was the median nerve,the efficiency rate for muscle strength recovery was 0.50 （95% CI：0.39-0.61） and for sensory was 0.56 （95% CI：0.50-0.63）.When the recipient nerve was the musculocutaneous nerve and the radial nerve,the efficiency rate for muscle strength recovery was 0.74 （95% CI：0.65-0.82..and 0.50 （95% CI：0.31-0.70）,***：Transfer of CC7 nerves to musculocutaneous nerves leads to the best ***7 is a reliable donor nerve,which can be safely used for upper limb function reconstruction,especially for entirely *** modifying procedures,musculocutaneous nerves and median nerve can be combined as recipient nerves.

肌肉生长抑制素(myostatin)基因是影响骨骼肌生长和发育重要的候选基因。实验以2..肌皮埃蒙特牛和30头蒙古牛基因组DNA为模板,针对牛myostatin基因设计了3对引物并扩增了3个外显子和部分5'调控区。对PCR扩增片段克隆、测序结果显示,2..埃蒙特牛均在编码序列938处发生G到A突变,使编码氨基酸由半胱氨酸变为酪氨酸,符合前人检测结果。首次在蒙古牛中发现在6个不同位点存在单核苷酸突变,其中3个无义突变,3个突变引起了编码氨基酸变化,反映了牛myostatin基因在进化过程中具有较高的突变性。

Tibetans are welt adapted to high-altitude hypoxia. Previous genome-wide scans have reported many candidate genes for this adaptation, but only a few have been studied. here we report on a hypoxia gene （GCH1, GTP-cyclohydrolase I）, involved in maintaining nitric oxide synthetase （NOS） function and normal blood pressure, that harbors many potentially adaptive variants in Tibetans. We resequenced an 80.8 kb fragment covering the entire gene region of GCH1 in 50 unrelated Tibetans Combined with previously published data, we demonstrated many GCHI variants showing deep divergence between highlander Tibetans and lowlander Han Chinese. Neutrality tests confirmed a signal of positive Darwinian selection on GCH1 in Tibetans. Moreover, association analysis indicated that the Tibetan version of GCH1 was significantly associated with multiple physiological traits in Tibetans, including blood nitric oxide concentration, blood oxygen saturation and hemoglobin concentration. Taken together, we propose that GCH1 plays a role in the genetic adaptation of Tibetans to high altitude hypoxia.

The genetic adaptation of Tibetans to high altitude hypoxia likely involves a group of genes in the hypoxic pathway, as suggested by earlier studies. To test the adaptive role of the previously reported candidate gene EP300 （histone acetyltransferase p300）, we conducted resequencing of a 108.9 kb gene region of EP300 in 80 unrelated Tibetans. The allele-frequency and haplotype-based neutrality tests detected signals of positive Darwinian selection on EP300 in Tibetans, with a group of variants showing allelic divergence between Tibetans and lowland reference populations, including Han Chinese, Europeans, and Africans. Functional prediction suggested the involvement of multiple EP300 variants in gene expression regulation. More importantly, genetic association tests in 2.. Tibetans indicated significant correlation of the adaptive EP300 variants with blood nitric oxide （NO） concentration. Collectively, we propose that EP300 harbors adaptive variants in Tibetans, which might contribute to high-altitude adaptation through regulating NO production.

A new multi-wavelength solar telescope: Optical and Near-infrared Solar Eruption Tracer (ONSET)

A new multi-wavelength solar telescope, the Optical and Near-infrared Solar Eruption Tracer （ONSET） of Nanjing university, has been constructed. It was fabricated at the Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics ＆ Technology, and the oper- ation is jointly administered with Yunnan Astronomical Observatory. ONSET is able to observe the Sun in three wavelength windows： he I 10830 A, Ha and white-light at 3600 A and 42.. A, which are selected in order to simultaneously record the dynam- ics of the corona, chromosphere and photosphere respectively. Full-disk or partial-disk solar images with a field of 10~ at three wavelengths can be obtained nearly simultane- ously. It is designed to trace solar eruptions with high spatial and temporal resolutions. This telescope was installed at a new solar observing site near Fuxian Lake in Yunnan Province, southwest china. The site is located at E102..4, with an altitude of 172..m. The seeing is stable and has high quality. We give a brief description of the scientific objectives and the basic structure of ONSET. Some preliminary results are also pre- sented.

Ceramic electrolytes are important in ceramic-liquid hybrid electrolytes(CLhes),which can effectively solve the interfacial issues between the electrolyte and electrodes in solid-state batteries and provide a highly efficient Li-ion transfer for solid–liquid Li metal *** the ionic transport mechanisms in CLhes and the corresponding role of ceramic electrolytes is crucial for a rational design ***,the Li-ion transfer in the ceramic electrolytes of CLhes was confirmed by tracking the 6Li and 7Li substitution behavior through solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance *** ceramic and liquid electrolytes simultaneously participate in Li-ion transport to achieve highly efficient Li-ion transfer in CLhes.A spontaneous Li-ion exchange was also observed between ceramic and liquid electrolytes,which serves as a bridge that connects the ceramic and liquid electrolytes,thereby greatly strengthening the continuity of Li-ion pathways in CLhes and improving the kinetics of Li-ion *** importance of an abundant solid–liquid interface for CLhes was further verified by the enhanced electrochemical performance in LiFePO4/Li and LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2..i batteries from the generated *** work provides a clear understanding of the Li-ion transport pathway in CLhes that serves as a basis to build a universal Li-ion transport model of CLhes.

Signal reconstruction through software processing is a crucial component of the background and signal models in the PandaX-4T experiment,which is a multi-tonne dark matter direct search *** accuracy of signal reconstruction is influenced by various detector artifacts,including noise,dark count of photomultiplier,photoionization of impurities in the detector,and other relevant *** this study,we presented a detailed description of a semi-data-driven approach designed to simulate a signal *** work provides a reliable model for the efficiency and bias of the signal reconstruction in the data analysis of *** comparing critical variables that relate to the temporal shape and hit pattern of the signals,we found good agreement between the simulation and data.

Objective: hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) development among hepatitis B surface antigen(HBs Ag) carriers shows gender disparity, influenced by underlying liver diseases that display variations in laboratory tests. We aimed to construct a risk-stratified HCC prediction model for HBs Ag-positive male ***: HBs Ag-positive males of 35-69 years old(N=6,153) were included from a multi-center populationbased liver cancer screening study. Randomly, three centers were set as training, the other three centers as validation. Within 2..ears since initiation, we administrated at least two rounds of HCC screening using Bultrasonography and α-fetoprotein(AFP). We used logistic regression models to determine potential risk factors,built and examined the operating characteristics of a point-based algorithm for HCC risk ***: With 2..ears of follow-up, 302..CC cases were diagnosed. A male-ABCD algorithm was constructed including participant's age, blood levels of GGT(γ-glutamyl-transpeptidase), counts of platelets, white cells,concentration of DCP(des-γ-carboxy-prothrombin) and AFP, with scores ranging from 0 to 18.3. The area under receiver operating characteristic was 0.91(0.90-0.93), larger than existing models. At 1.5 points of risk score,2..10% of the participants in training cohort and 14.94% in validation cohort were recognized at low risk, with sensitivity of identifying HCC remained 100%. At 2.. points, 46.51% of the participants in training cohort and 33.68% in validation cohort were recognized at low risk with 99.06% and 97.78% of sensitivity, respectively. At 4.5 points, only 2..86% of participants in training cohort and 2..73% in validation cohort were recognized at high risk,with positive prediction value of 2..85% and 12..5%, ***: Male-ABCD algorithm identified individual's risk for HCC occurrence within short term for their HCC precision surveillance.

Back-streaming neutrons from the spallation target of the china Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)that emit through the incoming proton channel were exploited to build a white neutron beam facility(the so-called Back-n white neutron source),which was completed in March *** Back-n neutron beam is very intense,at approximately 2..07 n/cm2.. at 55 m from the target,and has a nominal proton beam with a power of 100 kW in the CSNS-I phase and a kinetic energy of 1.6 GeV and a thick tungsten target in multiple slices with modest moderation from the cooling water through the *** addition,the excellent energy spectrum spanning from 0.5 eV to 2.. MeV,and a good time resolution related tothe time-of-flight measurements make it a typical white neutron source for nuclear data measurements;its overall performance is among that of the best white neutron sources in the *** with advanced spectrometers,detectors,and application utilities,the Back-n facility can serve wide applications,with a focus on neutron-induced cross-sectional *** article presents an overview of the neutron beam characteristics,the experimental setups,and the ongoing applications at Backn.
