Originating but free from chromosomal DNA,extrachromosomal circular DNAs(eccDNAs)are organized in circular form and have long been found in unicellular and multicellular *** biogenesis and function are poorly understood as they are characterized by sequence homology with linear DNA,for which few detection methods are *** advances in high-throughput sequencing technologies have revealed that eccDNAs play crucial roles in tumor formation,evolution,and drug resistance as well as aging,genomic diversity,and other biological processes,bringing it back to the research *** mechanisms of eccDNA formation have been proposed,including the breakage-fusion-bridge(BFB)and translocation-deletion-amplification *** tumors and disorders of embryonic and fetal development are major threats to human reproductive *** roles of eccDNAs in these pathological processes have been partially elucidated since the first discovery of eccDNA in pig sperm and the double minutes in ovarian cancer *** present review summarized the research history,biogenesis,and currently available detection and analytical methods for eccDNAs and clarified their functions in gynecologic tumors and *** also proposed the application of eccDNAs as drug targets and liquid biopsy markers for prenatal diagnosis and the early detection,prognosis,and treatment of gynecologic *** review lays theoretical foundations for future investigations into the complex regulatory networks of eccDNAs in vital physiological and pathological processes.

Crystal (A) is monoclinic, space group C2/c, with a= 13. 782(3), b= 18. 381(4), c= 16. 643(2) A, β= 92. 84(5)°, V=4211. 1 (4) A3, Z=4, Mr= 887. 03, Dc= 1. 40 g/cm3, μ= 5. 0 cm-1, F(000) = 1836 and R(Rw) = 0. 057(0. 062) for 2134 unique reflections with I> 3δ(I). Monoterpenes are organic compounds which have been studied for their medicinal ***,the association between monoterpene exposure and metabolic parameters in humans is *** investigated the connection between three specific monoterpenes(α-pinene,β-pinene,and limonene),glucose homeostasis biomarkers,lipid profiles,and metabolic syndrome(MS)in 1627 adults from the National health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES)2013–*** found serum levels ofα-pinene andβ-pinene were positively associated with fasting glucose,total cholesterol,triglyceride,and apolipoprotein *** addition,increased levels of limonene andΣmonoterpene(sum of three monoterpene chemicals)were linked to higher insulin,β-cell function,total cholesterol,low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglycerides,and apolipoprotein *** with all three monoterpenes above the 50th percentile had notably higher values for total cholesterol and triglycerides compared to those with all three monoterpenes below the 50th percentile(P for trendher serum concentrations ofα-pinene were linked to an increased risk of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)insufficiency and *** concentrations ofβ-pinene were associated with a higher prevalence of ***,increased levels of limonene andΣmonoterpene were connected to a higher risk of MS,larger waist circumference,low HDL-C,hypertriglyceridemia,and higher blood pressure according to MS *** conclusion,serum monoterpenes levels were linked to glucose regulation,lipid profiles,and indicators of *** studies are necessary to clarify the potential causal relationships.

Lipid concentration and composition in xylem sap of woody angiosperms from a tropical savanna and a seasonal rainforest

Lipids may play an important role in preventing gas embolisms by coating nanobubbles in xylem *** studies on xylem sap lipids have been reported for temperate plants,and it remain unclear whether sap lipids have adaptational significance in tropical *** this study,we quantify the lipid composition of xylem sap for angiosperm species from a tropical savanna(seven species)and a seasonal rainforest(five species)using mass *** found that all twelve species studied contained lipids in their xylem sap,including galactolipids,phospholipids and triacylglycerol,with a total lipid concentration ranging from 0.09 to 0.26 nmol/*** was no difference in lipid concentration or composition between plants from the two sites,and the lipid concentration was negatively related to species’open vessel ***,savanna species showed little variation in lipid composition between the dry and the rainy *** results support the hypothesis that xylem sap lipids are derived from the cytoplasm of individual conduit cells,remain trapped inside individual conduits,and undergo few changes in composition over consecutive seasons.A xylem sap lipidomic data set,which includes 12 tropical tree species from this study and 11 temperate tree species from literature,revealed no phylogenetic signals in lipid composition for these *** study fills a knowledge gap in the lipid content of xylem sap in tropical trees and provides additional support for their common distribution in xylem sap of woody *** appears that xylem sap lipids have no adaptive significance.

Meibomian glands segmentation in infrared images with limited annotation

●AIM:To investigate a pioneering framework for the segmentation of meibomian glands(MGs),using limited annotations to reduce the workload on ophthalmologists and enhance the efficiency of clinical diagnosis.●METHODS:Totally 203 infrared meibomian images from 138 patients with dry eye disease,accompanied by corresponding annotations,were gathered for the study.A rectified scribble-supervised gland segmentation(RSSGS)model,incorporating temporal ensemble prediction,uncertainty estimation,and a transformation equivariance constraint,was introduced to address constraints imposed by limited supervision information inherent in scribble *** viability and efficacy of the proposed model were assessed based on accuracy,intersection over union(IoU),and dice coefficient.●RESULTS:Using manual labels as the gold standard,RSSGS demonstrated outcomes with an accuracy of 93.54%,a dice coefficient of 78.02%,and an IoU of 64.18%.Notably,these performance metrics exceed the current weakly supervised state-of-the-art methods by 0.76%,2.06%,and 2.69%,***,despite achieving a substantial 80%reduction in annotation costs,it only lags behind fully annotated methods by 0.72%,1.51%,and 2.04%.●CONCLUSION:An innovative automatic segmentation model is developed for MGs in infrared eyelid images,using scribble annotation for *** model maintains an exceptionally high level of segmentation accuracy while substantially reducing training *** holds substantial utility for calculating clinical parameters,thereby greatly enhancing the diagnostic efficiency of ophthalmologists in evaluating meibomian gland dysfunction.

The reaction behaviors of the title complexes have been studied in thesystem of dinitrogen gas by means of in situ IR. It has been found that some activefragments created at some stage of the thermal decomposition process of the *** acetic acid both obtained from the ligand of the complexes and introducedfrom outside to convert to acetone by decarboxylation. Their optimum reaction temperatures are of 240~270℃ for [Fe2MnO(O2CCH3),(H2O)3], 290~320 C for [Fe3Q(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3], 300~330℃ for [Fe2CoO(O2CCH3),(H2O)3] and 320~ 350℃for [Fe2NiO(O2CCH3)6(H2O)3], indicating the lowering sequence of the activity of active species. At the same time it has been shown that this activity may come from thejoined contributions of both the coordinating capability of the hetero-metals in the complexes and their structural factors. On the basis of the TGA, DTA and EI-MS data,the composition of the active fragments has been tentatively inferred as [Fe2MnO(O2CCH3)3-2].
