Distribution and influencing factors of acoustic characteristics of seafloor sediment in the Sunda Shelf

To understand the acoustic and physical properties of piston core samples collected from the Sunda continental shelf and analyze their distribution patterns,the samples were analyzed in laboratory,from which three provinces were divided in sound speed,sound speed ratio,porosity,wet bulk density,and maximum shear ***Ⅰhad lower sound speed and sound speed ratio(her sound speed and sound speed ratio(>1.04),low porosity,and high wet bulk ***Ⅲhad the lowest sound speed and sound speed ratio(0.99),highest porosity(81%),and lowest wet bulk density(1.34 g/cm^(3)).The distribution pattern indicates that sediment movement,sediment source,topography,and hydrodynamic conditions influenced the distribution of acoustic and physical ***,we investigated the relationship of the maximum shear strength to the porosity and wet bulk density,and found that the maximum shear strength was proportional to both the porosity and wet bulk *** finding has significant implications for ocean engineering applications.

In this paper,we define the evolute and focal surface of a spacelike framed curve with lightlike components in Minkowski *** is a generalization of the previous results of regular spacelike curves,since singularities are allowed in the original spacelike curves studied by spacelike framed curves with lightlike ***,we show a new geometric invariant to characterise singularities of the focal ***,the classification theorem and recognition theorem for the singularities of the focal surface in generic are also given.

The poor thermal stabi{2.ty and high sensitivity severely hinder the practical app{2.cation of hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane(CL-2.).herein,a kind of novel core@double-shell CL-2. based energetic composites were fabricated to address the above *** coordination complexes which consist of natural polyphenol tannic acid(TA) and Fe~Ⅲ were chosen to construct the inner shell,while the graphene sheets were used to build the outer *** resulting CL-2./TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites exhibited simultaneously improved thermal stabi{2.ty and safety performance with only 1 wt% double-shell content,which should be ascribed to the intense physical encapsulation effect from inner shell combined with the desensitization effect of carbon nano-materials from outer *** phase transition(ε to γ) temperature increased from 173.70 ℃ of pure CL-2. to 191.87℃ of CL-2./TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene ***,the characteristic drop height(H_(50)) dramatically increased from 14.7 cm of pure CL-2. to112.8 cm of CL-2./TA-Fe~Ⅲ/graphene composites,indicating much superior safety performance after the construction of the double-shell *** general,this work has provided an effective and versatile strategy to conquer the thermal stabi{2.ty and safety issues of CL-2. and contributes to the future app{2.cation of high energy density energetic materials.

Tephra layers in the western Philippine Sea,characterized by abundant volcanic glass shards,may provide crucial evidence on the eruption history of volcanoes and tectonic evolution of the western Pacific.A 2.0-ka sediment core from the Benham Rise in the western Philippine Sea offers new insights into the provenance of four intercalated tephra layers(T1–T4,in chronological order)containing either colorless or brown glass *** to primitive mantle,all glass shards are enriched in large-ion lithophile elements,such as Rb,Cs,and Pb,and depleted in high field-strength elements,such as Th,Nb,and Ta,indicating a subduction-related *** colorless glass shards are characterized by high SiO_(2.(>78%)and light rare earth element(LREE)contents as well as high La/Sm ratios(>9),low FeO and MgO contents(100),pointing to a rhyolitic composition and a medium-K calc-alkaline serial *** contrast,the brown glass shards are characterized by lower SiO_(2.(3%)and LREE contents,higher FeO,MgO,and CaO contents,lower La/Sm(line andesite *** glass shards from layers T3(152.ka)and T4(172.ka)were correlated with volcanic deposits from the Taal and Laguna Caldera in the Maccolod Corridor,respectively,while the colorless glass shards from layers T1(36.5 ka)and T2.61.2.ka)were likely sourced from the Irosin Caldera in the Bicol *** the provenance of late Pleistocene tephra layers in the western Philippine Sea is helpful to complement a Philippine volcanic history and establish a regional tephrochronostratigraphy.

A total of 10446 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) are obtained by a large scale sequencing of a cDNA library from cephalothorax of adult Fenneropenaeus chinensis . An EST analysis platform was built up based on local computers and bioinformatic techniques were used to annotate these ESTs in order to promptly find possible functional genes, especially for immune related factors. About 4% of the ESTs show similarity to the coding sequences of such factors, including lectin, serine protease, serpin, lysozyme, etc. These ESTs provide a partial profile of the immune system in F. chinensis and useful information for further study on these genes.

Influence of secondary lining thickness on mechanical behaviours of double-layer lining in large-diameter shield tunnels

In large-diameter shield tunnels,applying the double-layer lining structure can improve the load-bearing properties and maintain the stability of segmental *** secondary lining thickness is a key parameter in the design of a double lining structure,which is worth being *** on an actual large-diameter shield tunnel,loading model tests are carried out to investigate the effect of the secondary lining thickness on the mechanical behaviours of the double lining *** test results show that within the range of secondary lining thicknesses discussed,the load-bearing limit of the double-layer lining increases with growing secondary lining *** a passive support,the secondary lining acts as an auxiliary load-bearing structure by contacting the *** changes in secondary lining thickness have a significant effect on the contact state between the segment and secondary lining,with both the contact pressure level and the contact area between the two *** double-layer lining structures in large-diameter shield tunnels,it is proposed that the stiffness of the secondary lining needs to be matched to the stiffness of the segment,as this allows them to have a coordinated deformation and a good joint load-bearing effect.
