Different infection routes of avian influenza A (H5N1) virus in mice

The continuing outbreaks of avian influenza A H5N1 virus infection in Asia and Africa have caused worldwide concern because of the high mortality rates in poultry,suggesting its potential to become a pandemic influenza virus in *** transmission route of the virus among either the same species or different species is not yet *** and BABL/c mice were inoculated with the H5N1 strain of influenza A virus isolated from *** animals were inoculated with 0.1 mL 106.83 TCID50 of H5N1 virus oronasally,intraperitoneally and using eye *** viruses were examined by virological and pathological *** addition,to detect horizontal transmission,in each group,healthy chicks and mice were mixed with those *** were detected in homogenates of the heart,liver,spleen,kidney and blood of the infected mice and *** antigen was not detected in the spleen,kidney or gastrointestinal tract,but detected by Plaque Forming Unit(PFU)assay in the brain,liver and lung without degenerative change in these organs(in the group inoculated using eye *** detection results for mice inoculated using eye drops suggest that this virus might have a different tissue tropism from other influenza viruses mainly restricted to the respiratory tract in *** chicken samples tested positive for the virus,regardless of the method of *** influenza A H5N1 viruses are highly pathogenic to chickens,but its virulence in other animals is not yet *** sum up,the results suggest that the virus replicates not only in different animal species but also through different routes of *** addition,the virus was detection not only in the respiratory tract but also in multiple extra-respiratory *** study demonstrates that H5N1 virus infection in mice can cause systemic disease and spread through potentially novel routes within and between mammalian hosts.

Performance Improvement of Two-Phase Steam Ejector based on CFD Techniques,Response Surface Methodology and Genetic Algorithm

The steam ejector is a crucial component in the waste heat recovery *** performance determines the amount of recovered heat and system ***,poor ejector performance has always been the main bottleneck for system ***,this study proposes an optimization methodology to improve the steam ejector's performance by utilizing computational fluid dynamics(CFD) techniques,response surface methodology(RSM),and genetic algorithm(GA).Firstly,a homogeneous equilibrium model(heM) was established to simulate the two-phase flow in the steam ***,the orthogonal test was presented to the screening of the key decision variables that have a significant impact on the entrainment ratio(ER).Next,the RSM was used to fit a response surface regression model(RSRM).Meanwhile,the effect of the interaction of geometric parameters on the performance of the steam ejector was ***,GA was employed to solve the RSRM's global optimal ER *** results show that the RSRM exhibits a good fit for ER(R^(2)=0.997).After RSM and GA optimization,the maximum ejector efficiency is 27.94%,which is 48.38% higher than the initial ejector of 18.83%.Furthermore,the optimized ejector efficiency is increased by 46.4% on average under off-design ***,the results reveal that the combination of CFD,RSM,and GA presents excellent reliability and feasibility in the optimization design of a two-phase steam ejector.

目的:调查我国野生鸟类中禽副黏病毒(Avian Paramyxoviruses,APMV)的流行和进化趋势。方法:通过RT-PCR、鸡胚分毒、血凝试验、遗传进化分析对野鸟源样品进行APMV流行病学调查和进化分析。结果:1219份野鸟样品中共检测出9份APMV阳性样品,APMV感染率为0.74%。其中APMV-1有8份,感染率为0.66%;APMV-4有1份,感染率为0.08%。鸡胚分毒成功分离出1株鸽源PPMV-1,遗传进化分析显示其属于基因VI.2.***.1.2.2型,与近年来国内流行的基因型一致。结论:野鸟在APMV的传播中具有重要作用,应加强对野鸟源PPMV-1的监测,研究结果对可能因跨种传播导致的公共卫生事件进行早期预警防控提供理论依据。

Flexible printed three dimensional(3D) integrated carbon nanotube complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) thin film transistors and circuits

The threshold voltage modulation of carbon nanotube thin-film transistors（TFTs） and flexible three-dimensional（3D） integration circuits has become hot research topics for carbon-based electronics. In this paper, a doping-free gate electrode technology is introduced to significantly modulate the threshold voltage of polymer-sorted semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotube（sc-SWCNT） TFTs in combination with the highly effective gate-controlling ability of solid-state electrolyte thin films as the dielectrics. A systematic investigation was conducted on the impact of printed silver, evaporated silver, and evaporated aluminum（Al） gate electrodes on the threshold voltage of flexible printed bottom-gate and top-gate SWCNT TFTs. The results indicate that the SWCNT TFTs with Al gate electrodes exhibit enhancement-mode characteristics with excellent electrical properties, such as the negative threshold voltages（-0.6 V）, high Ion/Ioff（up to 10～6）, low subthreshold swing(61.4 mV · dec-1), and small hysteresis. It is attributed to either the formation of lower work function thin films（Al2O3） at the electrode/dielectric layer interfaces through the natural oxidation of the Al bottom-gate electrodes or the dipole reaction of the Al top-gate electrodes from X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy（UPS） data. In addition, 3D complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor（CMOS） inverters with common gate electrodes were constructed using the resulting enhancement-mode P-type SWCNT TFTs and matched N-type SWCNT TFTs, which shows high voltage gain（34）, rail-to-rail output and high noise margins(80.04%, VDD=-1 V)as well good mechanical flexibility at low operation voltages. It demonstrates that SWCNT TFTs have great advantages for building large-scale 3D flexible integrated circuits.

Spatiotemporal changes in sunshine duration and its influential factors in Chongqing,China from 1961 to 2020

Lactobacillus plantarum J26 alleviates alcohol-induced oxidative liver injury by regulating the Nrf2 signaling pathway

Oxidative stress is one of the main ways to cause alcohol-induced liver injury,and alcoholic liver disease(ALD)has been a common health problem *** acid bacteria(LAB)is also considered as a potential treatment to alleviate alcohol-induced liver *** plantarum J26 is a LAB isolated from Chinese traditional fermented dairy products with excellent probiotic *** study aimed to establish a mice model of alcoholic liver injury through acute-on-chronic alcohol feeding and to study the alleviating effect of pre-intake of *** J26 on alcohol-induced oxidative liver injury and focus on its potential mechanism of alleviating *** results showed that pre-intake of *** J26 could improve liver pathological changes,reduce lipid accumulation,increase mitochondrial ATP and mitochondrial(mtDNA)levels,and alleviate liver *** addition,pre-intake *** J26 can improve the level of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)in the intestines in mice,short chain fatty acids can be used as a signaling molecule activation of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(Nrf2)signaling pathway to alleviate liver oxidative stress,and maintain mitochondrial homeostasis by regulating the expression of genes related to mitochondrial dynamics and autophagy,thereby reducing cell apoptosis to alleviate alcohol-induced oxidative liver injury.

Research progress on rolling superlubricity in solid lubricants

Superlubricity is an ideal lubrication state where friction nearly vanishes between contact interfaces. It has become one of the most important research topics and approaches owing to its significance in reducing energy consumption and preventing device failures. As an efficient and universal lubricating principle capable of achieving superlubricity, rolling lubrication has attracted widespread attention in recent years. In this review, the theoretical concept of rolling lubrication and the experimental research progress of spherical/scroll structures are summarized. The review focuses on the possibility of achieving rolling lubrication using spherical/scroll structures(such as spherical fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, and formed and constructed spherical/scroll structures). The challenges in achieving rolling lubrication are summarized, and the possibility of molecular rolling lubrication,as well as its potential applications in superlubrication, are discussed.
