Effects of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions and thermal radiation on magneto-hydrodynamic Cu-water nanofluid flow over an expanding flat plate with non-uniform heat source

This study presents the effect of non-uniform heat source on the magneto-hydrodynamic flow of nanofluid across an expanding plate with consideration of the homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions and thermal radiation effects.A nanofluid’s dynamic viscosity and effective thermal conductivity are specified with Corcione *** to this correlation,the thermal conductivity is carried out by the Brownian *** transformations reduce the governing equations concerned with energy,momentum,and concentration of nanofluid and then numerically *** influences of the effective parameters,e.g.,the internal heat source parameters,the volume fraction of nanofluid,the radiation parameter,the homogeneous reaction parameter,the magnetic parameter,the heterogeneous parameter and the Schmidt number are studied on the heat and flow transfer ***,regarding the effective parameters of the present work,the correlation for the Nusselt number has been *** outcomes illustrate that with the raising of the heterogeneous parameter and the homogeneous reaction parameter,the concentration profile *** addition,the outcomes point to a reverse relationship between the Nusselt number and the internal heat source parameters.

In a gas turbine power plant,the lubrication oil must be hot enough for the turbine start-up where the unit is in standstill ***,the strategy to heat the lubrication oil of ANSALDO V94.2 gas turbine power plant is operating the units in turning gear mode or interval ***,these strategies cause to suffering the power plant from high power consumption rate and *** this study,an auxiliary portable heating system was added to the unit 5 of the mAPNA built mGT-70(an Iranian version of V94.2)Aliabad Katoul-Iran power plant for increasing the lube oil ***,cost-effectiveness,and availability of the proposed heating system are studied by the concepts of exergy,economy,and reliability analyses,*** result of the exergy analysis shows that by using the auxiliary portable lube oil heating system the exergy destruction decreases about 94.7%and 92.6%in comparison with turning gear mode and interval mode,*** result of the economic analysis shows that the auxiliary portable heating system consumes less power rather than turning gear ***,it is a cost-effective system which has no penalty and no non-profit ***,the reliability analysis shows that the auxiliary portable lube oil heating system is a reliable tool during its lifetime.

Attuned design of demand response program and m-FACTS for relieving congestion in a restructured market environment

This paper addresses the attuned use of multi- converter flexible alternative current transmission systems （m-FACTS） devices and demand response （DR） to perform congestion management （Cm） in the deregulated environment. The strong control capability of the m- FACTS offers a great potential in solving many of the problems facing electric utilities. Besides, DR is a novel procedure that can be an effective tool for reduction of congestion. A market clearing procedure is conducted based on maximizing social welfare （SW） and congestion as network constraint is paid by using concurrently the DR and m-FACTS. A multi-objective problem （mOP） based on the sum of the payments received by the generators for changing their output, the total payment received by DR participants to reduce their load and m-FACTS cost is systematized. For the solution of this problem a nonlinear time-varying evolution （NTVE） based multi-objective particle swarm optimization （mOPSO） style is formed. Fuzzy decision-making （FDm） and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution （TOPSIS） approaches are employed for finding the best compromise solution from the set of Pareto-solutions obtained through multi-objective particle swarm optimization-nonlinear time-varying evolution （mOPSO-NTVE）. In a real power system, Azarbaijan regional power system of Iran, comparative analysis of the results obtained from the application of the DR ＆ unified power flow controller （UPFC） and the DR ＆ m-FACTS are presented.

本文研究了退火温度对铝/银异种板材断裂韧性和成形极限曲线的影响。在冷轧黏合过程中，经过刷涂和酸洗后，将制备好的表面叠放在一起，通过压下量大于50%的轧制，建立层间的黏合。在本研究中，辊压结合过程是在室温下进行的，不使用润滑剂，板材厚度减少了70%。然后，通过几个阶段的冷轧，Ag/Al双层板的最终厚度达到350μm。在冷轧之前，为了降低因塑性变形而产生的硬度，辊压结合的样品在400℃下进行了90 min的退火热处理。因此，最终样品在200、300和400℃下退火90 min，并在炉中冷却，以检查退火温度的影响。通过单轴拉伸和显微硬度测试测量了样品的力学性能。此外，为了研究断裂机理，通过扫描电子显微镜(SEm)检查了横截面的断口形貌。为了评估Ag/Al双层板的成形性，通过Nakazima实验获得了成形极限曲线。还通过断裂韧性研究了复合材料的抗裂性。结果表明，退火提高了Ag/Al双层板的伸长率和可成形性，同时降低了极限抗拉强度和断裂韧性。然而，不同退火温度下的变化趋势并不相同。结果表明，在300℃的温度和铝板条件下获得的效果最显著。随着退火温度的升高，具有小而浅的韧窝的剪切韧性断裂机制转变为具有深孔的韧性断裂机制。

Charged Higgs Pair Production in a General Two Higgs Doublet model at e^+e^- and μ^+μ^- Linear Colliders

In this paper, charged Higgs pair production through l^＋l^- → H^＋ H^-, where l = e or μ, is studied within the framework of a general Two Higgs Doublet model （2HDm）. The analysis is relevant to a future e^＋e^- or μ^＋ μ^- collider operating at center of mass energy of √s = 500 GeV. Two different scenarios of small and large a values are studied. Here a is the parameter, which diagonmizes the neutral CP-even Higgs boson mass matrix. Within the minimal Supersymmetric Standard model （mSSm）, cross section of this process is almost the same at e＋ e- and #＋#- colliders. It is shown that at e^＋e^- eolliders within a general 2HDm, cross section is not sensitive to the mass of neutral Higgs bosons, however, it can acquire large values up to several picobarn at μ^＋μ^- colliders with the presence of heavy neutral Higgs bosons. A scan over Higgs boson mass parameter space is performed to analyze the effect of large masses of neutral Higgs bosons involved in the s-channel propagator and thus in the total cross section of this process.

Effect of divalent cations(Co^(2+) and Ni^(2+)) on microstructure,physical properties and application of NdFeO_(3)

The nanocrystalline samples Nd_(1-x)m_(x)FeO_(3)(x=0.0 and 0.1;m:Co^(2+)and Ni^(2+))were prepared using the citrate combustion *** X-ray diffraction(XRD)pattern confirmed that the nanoparticles were synthesized in an orthorhombic *** particle size of Nd_(1-x)m_(x)FeO_(3) is in the range of 29-59 *** selected area electron diffraction(SAED)indicates the samples were prepared in a polycrystalline *** samples Nd_(1-x)m_(x)FeO_(3)(x=0.0 and 0.1;m:Co^(2+)and Ni^(2+))have anti ferromagnetic *** Fe^(3+)spins are aligned antiparallel,forming the antiferromagnetic(AFm)properties,which are affected by many factors such as the bond angle between the Fe^(3+)(Fe^(3+)-O_(2)--Fe^(3+))and the Dzyaloshinskii-moriya(D-m)*** doping of Co^(2+)and Ni^(2+)ions in NdFeO_(3) enhances the magnetic properties of the NdFeO_(3).The saturation magnetization(ms)of Nd_(0.90)Co_(0.10)FeO_(3) increases 1.8times more than that of NdFeO_(3).The exchange bias field(HEX)of the Co-doped sample is two times greater than that of NdFeO_(3).The magnetic anisotropy constant(K)of the 10%Co-doped sample increases by 11 factors compared to that of NdFeO_(3).The Tauc plot illustrates that the samples have a direct optical *** divalent cation substitution(Co^(2+)and Ni^(2+))decreases the optical band gap of NdFeO_(3),leading to the recommendation of using the samples Nd_(0.90)Co_(0.10)FeO_(3) and Nd_(0.90)Ni_(0.10)FeO_(3) in photocatalysis of dye degradation from *** removal efficiencies of Cr6+at pH=6 are 88.06%,85.54%,and 85.52%for the samples NdFeO_(3),Nd_(0.90)Co_(0.10)FeO_(3),and Nd_(0.90)Ni_(0.10)FeO_(3),*** Freundlich isotherm mode is the best-fit model for NdFeO_(3) to adsorb Cr6+ions from aqueous solutions.

Nonlinear forced vibration in a subcritical regime of a porous functionally graded pipe conveying fluid with a retaining clip

This study examines the nonlinear behaviors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) that conveys fluids and is equipped with a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. The nonlinear governing equations for the FGm pipe are derived by the extended Hamilton's principle, and subsequently discretized through the application of the Galerkin *** direct method of multi-scales is then used to solve the derived equations. A thorough analysis of various parameters, including the clip stiffness, the power-law index, the porosity, and the clip location, is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's nonlinear dynamics. Through the analysis of the first natural frequency, the study highlights the influence of the flow velocity and the clip stiffness, while the comparisons with metallic pipes emphasize the role of FGm composition. The examination of the forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and their dependence on parameters such as the detuning parameter and the power-law index, offering valuable insights into the system's nonlinear resonant behavior. Furthermore, the frequency-response curves illustrate the hardening nonlinearities influenced by factors such as the porosity and the clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on the system response and resonance characteristics. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of nonlinear behaviors in FGm porous pipes with a retaining clip, providing key insights for practical engineering applications in system design and optimization.

A Comparison between Fossil and Nuclear Power Plants Pollutions and Their Environmental Effects

New researches on serious public health problems such as respiratory disease, heart attacks, and premature deaths, show the threat of air and environmental pollution on human＇s health. Exhausting greenhouse gases for electrical energy production in fossil fueled power plants is one of the major reasons of environmental pollutions. Increasing energy demand has made global concerns about the environmental pollutions of fossil power plants. In this article, fossil power plant productive pollutants such as Sulfur Dioxide, mercury, and Carbon Dioxide, are investigated. On the other hand, nuclear power plant and its produced waste are discussed as the future power generation source. In this article, fossil and nuclear power plants are compared as power sources, pollutants, and their environmental effects. First, investigations are made on fossil power plants and their effects on environment and climate changes. On the other hand, nuclear power plants are discussed as a possible replacement for fossil power plants. In this part, effects of radiation on human health and environment like important nuclear accidents are investigated. This paper summarizes several types of power plants and it is deduced that the nuclear power plant is more clean energy producer in comparison to other power plants.

Honeycomb-spiderweb-inspired self-similar hybrid cellular structures for impact applications

Inspired by nature's self-similar designs,novel honeycomb-spiderweb based self-similar hybrid cellular structures are proposed here for efficient energy absorption in impact *** energy absorption is enhanced by optimizing the geometry and topology for a given *** proposed hybrid cellular structure is arrived after a thorough analysis of topologically enhanced self-similar *** optimized cell designs are rigorously tested considering dynamic loads involving crush and high-velocity bullet ***,the influence of thickness,radial connectivity,and order of patterning at the unit cell level are also *** maximum crushing efficiency attained is found to be more than 95%,which is significantly higher than most existing traditional *** on,the first and second-order hierarchical self-similar unit cell designs developed during crush analysis are used to prepare the cores for sandwich *** tests are performed on the developed sandwich structures using the standard 9-mm *** influence of multistaging on impact resistance is also investigated by maintaining a constant total thickness and mass of the sandwich ***,in order to avoid layer-wise weak zones and hence,attain a uniform out-of-plane impact strength,off-setting the designs in each stage is *** sandwich structures with first and second-order self-similar hybrid cores are observed to withstand impact velocities as high as 170 m/s and 270 m/s,respectively.

Causality,the science of cause and effect,has made it possible to create a new family of *** models are often referred to as causal *** those of mathematical,numerical,empirical,or machine learning(mL)nature,causal models hope to tie the cause(s)to the effect(s)pertaining to a phenomenon(i.e.,data generating process)through causal *** paper presents one of the first works at creating causal models in the area of structural and construction *** this end,this paper starts with a brief review of the principles of causality and then adopts four causal discovery algorithms,namely,PC(Peter-Clark),FCI(fast causal inference),GES(greedy equivalence search),and GRa SP(greedy relaxation of the sparsest permutation),have been used to examine four phenomena,including predicting the load-bearing capacity of axially loaded members,fire resistance of structural members,shear strength of beams,and resistance of walls against impulsive(blast)*** from this study reveal the possibility and merit of discovering complete and partial causal ***,this study also proposes two simple metrics that can help assess the performance of causal discovery algorithms.
