Palynological data are used to draw paleoecological inferences for the Dalichai Formation,northeast of Semnan,northeastern *** samples examined yield well-preserved,diverse palynofloras consisting predominantly of miospores;dinoflagellate cysts,foraminiferal test linings,and fungal spores occur as minor ***-four species of spores(37 genera),18species of pollen(9 genera),and 16 species of dinoflagellate cysts(13 genera)are ***-occurrence of such miospore species with known vertical ranges as Klukisporites variegatus,Sellaspora asperata,Murospora florida,and Concavissimisporites verrucosus suggests a Middle Jurassic(Bajocian-Callovian)age for the host strata,thus corroborating the available paleozoological *** spore species as Klukisporites,Cyathidites,and Dictyophyllidites known to have been produced by Pterophyta dominate the *** the contemporaneous coastal vegetation was characterized by predominance of Pterophyta whereas representatives of Ginkgophyta,Pteridospermophyta,Lycophyta,Coniferophyta,and Bryophyta were rarely *** reconstruction implies that a moist,warm climate prevailed in northeastern Iran during the Middle Jurassic(Bajocian-Callovian).This is confirmed by occurrence of fungal spores accompanied by such warm water dinoflagellate cysts as Mendicodinium groenlandicum,Pareodinia ceratophora,and Gonyaulacysta *** of Amorphous Organic Matter(AOM)signifies a shallow,low-energy,dysoxic-anoxic depositional site for the host ***,the ratio of AOM to marine palynomorphs as well as abundance of blade-shaped to eqiudimensional opaque palynomacerals could indicate low sedimentation rate in a shallow,low-oxygenated marine ***,occurrence of chorate dinoflagellate cysts(e.g.,Adnatosphaeridium caulleryi)and acritarchs bearing relatively long processes(e.g.,Micrhystridium)possibly suggests deepening upward in the study section.

One important step in binary modeling of environmental problems is the generation of absence-datasets that are traditionally generated by random sampling and can undermine the quality of *** solve this problem,this study develops the Absence Point Generation(APG)toolbox which is a Python-based ArcGIS toolbox for automated construction of absence-datasets for geospatial *** APG employs a frequency ratio analysis of four commonly used and important driving factors such as altitude,slope degree,topographic wetness index,and distance from rivers,and considers the presence locations buffer and density layers to define the low potential or susceptibility zones where absence-datasets are *** test the APG toolbox,we applied two benchmark algorithms of random forest(RF)and boosted regression trees(BRT)in a case study to investigate groundwater potential using three absence datasets i.e.,the APG,random,and selection of absence samples(SAS)*** BRT-APG and RF-APG had the area under receiver operating curve(AUC)values of 0.947 and 0.942,while BRT and RF had weaker performances with the SAS and Random *** effect resulted in AUC improvements for BRT and RF by 7.2,and 9.7%from the Random dataset,and AUC improvements for BRT and RF by 6.1,and 5.4%from the SAS dataset,*** APG also impacted the importance of the input factors and the pattern of the groundwater potential maps,which proves the importance of absence points in environmental binary *** proposed APG toolbox could be easily applied in other environmental hazards such as landslides,floods,and gully erosion,and land subsidence.

Miscible injection of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))into oil reservoirs as an Enhanced Oil Recovery(EOR)method has proved to be highly *** to the volume of the world's recoverable oil resides inside the fractured reservoirs,investigation of the controlling parameters in the efficient injection of miscible CO_(2) is of paramount importance,mainly owing to the intricacies and complexities associated with this *** complexity in fractured reservoirs arises due to the presence of two distinct media for fluid transfer(i.e.,matrix and fracture network)and the corresponding differences in fluid ***,performance of miscible carbon dioxide injection in these reservoirs was investigated through mechanistic simulation model in the form of dual-porosity(DP),and dual porosity-dual permeability(DPP).Moreover,due to limited supply and high injection costs of this gas in its pure form,performance of the miscible CO_(2) injection combined with C_(1),N_(2),and H_(2)S was also surveyed and compared to pure gas injection case.A sensitivity analysis was also performed based on fracture porosity,fracture horizontal and vertical permeability,matrix horizontal permeability,block height shape factor,matrix capillary pressure,and impure injected components in DP and DPP models,showing that matrix horizontal permeability and capillary pressure have the greatest,and porosity has the lowest impact on miscibility performance and oil recovery in these *** the end,after investigating the effect of different injection cases on miscibility performance and oil recovery,it was concluded that the highest oil recovery in miscible gas injection obtained through optimization of a gas composition having the lowest minimum miscibility pressure(MMP)and the lowest density.

Many factors are involved in urban heat island development,such as lack of green spaces,improper choice of building materials,densification,and other human *** aim of this research was to quantify the effects of land-use/land-cover(LU/LC)changes on urban land surface temperature(LST)during a 25-year period(1993–2018)for the semiarid Shiraz City in southern Iran using Landsat data(TM,ETM+,and OLI/TIRS)and machine learning *** main LU/LC classes,such as orchard,vegetation,bare surface,asphalt cover,and built-up areas,were identified using a support vector machine *** images were used to retrieve normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and normalized difference built-up index(NDBI).The results showed that the mean LST over the entire study domain increased considerably between 1993 and 2018,due to urbanization,decrease of green areas,and increasing industrial ***-up areas increased considerably by 25.8%from 80 to 100.6 km^(2) between 1993 and 2018,while vegetation cover decreased dramatically by 69.3%.Mean LST increased from 38.4 to 40.2℃ during the 25-year period with a significant increase of 3.9℃ between 2013 and *** addition,the Urban heat island Ratio Index(URI)displayed a substantial upward trend during the 25-year period.

In present work,a helical double tube heat exchanger is proposed in which an advanced turbulator with blades,semi-conical part,and two holes is inserted in inner *** geometrical parameters,including angle of turbulator’s blades(θ) and number of turbulator’s blades(N),are *** indicated that firstly,the best thermal stratification is achieved at θ=180°.Furthermore,at the lowest studied mass flow rate(m = 8 × 10^(-3) kg/s),heat transfer coefficient of turbulator with blade angle of 180° is 130.77%,25%,and 36.36% higher than cases including without turbulator,with turbulator with blade angle of θ =240°,and θ =360°,***,case with N=12 showed the highest overall *** the highest studied mass flow rate(m = 5.842 × 10^(-2) kg/s),heat transfer coefficient for case with N=12 is up to 54.76%,27.45%,and 6.56% higher than cases including without turbulator,with turbulator with N=6,and with turbulator with N=9,respectively.

Background:Medicinal herbs have always been closely associated with human beings,and no one deny their medicinal effects and *** are over 7,500 plant species in the rich flora of *** study,intends to investigate the anti-bacterial properties of three different plant species from Iranian flora,including Echinops persicus,Cardamine uliginosa,and Vaccaria oxyodontha *** and methods:This cross-sectional study was performed after confirmation and identification of collected *** plants were dried in the shade for *** the methanol extract of these plants was extracted by the classical extraction *** plants’antimicrobial effects of the plants were evaluated by agar disk diffusion,minimum inhibitory concentration,and minimum bactericidal *** mentioned plants’anti-bacterial activity was compared with the antibiotic discs of gentamicin(10 mg)and vancomycin(30 mg).SPSS software v20 was used for data analysis of Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn’s tests(P<0.05).Results:The lowest minimum inhibitory concentration obtained from the methanol extract of Cardamine uliginosa on standard strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli at 15.62 mg/mL for methanol extracts of Echinops persicus and Vaccaria oxyodontha Boiss on *** and *** at 31.25 mg/mL and 125 mg/mL,*** highest diameter of inhibition zone caused by methanol extract of Cardamine uiliginosa was against *** and *** with an inhibition zone of 23.9±0.29 mm and 20.4±0.43 mm,*** with the antibiotics gentamicin and vancomycin,the Cardamine uliginosa showed a stronger inhibitory effect(P<0.05).Conclusion:Echinops persicus,Cardamine uliginosa,and Vaccaria oxyodontha Boiss have anti-bacterial *** anti-bacterial property of Cardamine uilignosa is higher than the other two herbal medicine.

AIM： To analyze the characteristics of epidemiological, clinical and survival patterns among patients with carcinoma of the stomach. METHODS： We retrospectively studied the characteristics of 186 gastric adenocarcinoma patients at Ahwaz Jundishapur University Hospitals （AJSUH） from September 1, 1996 to September 1, 2002. All the patients had histopathologically-confirmed malignancy. Demographic variables, family history of gastric cancer （GC）, clinicopathologic characteristics and treatment-related variables were analyzed. Univariate analysis was performed with the log-rank test and multivariate analysis with Cox regression. P 〈 0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS： Male to female ratio was 2.6：1. The mean age was 60.6 years and 14% of the patients were younger than 40 years. Adenocarcinoma, gastric lymphoma, and gastric metastasis were found in 94.5%, 2.3%, and 3% patients, respectively. There was an average of 6-mo delay between the initial symptoms and the diagnosis. Among adenocarcinoma groups, intestinal type was the commonest （55.9%） and the distal third was the most common localization （88.4%）. One hundred and thirty-four patients （72.1%） were males. Thirty-one patients （17%） had a family history of GC. Surgery was performed in 90% of patients （non-curative）. CONCLUSION： The epidemiological features of GC in south Iran mimic those in high-risk areas. There is a higher frequency of GC in young patients at our institution. Patients are detected and treated after a relatively long delay. Most patients present in advanced stages, which favors a poor overall survival, Family history of GC has a significant problem in our area, Studying the etiology of this cancer in south Iran and earlier diagnosis and subsequent better cares are recommended.

AIM: To evaluate safety and feasibility of autologous bone marrow-enriched CD34+ hematopoietic stem cell Tx through the hepatic artery in patients with decompensated ***: Four patients with decompensated cirrhosis were included. Approximately 200 mL of the bone marrow of the patients was aspirated, and CD34+ stem cells were selected. Between 3 to 10 million CD34+ cells were isolated. The cells were slowly infused through the hepatic artery of the ***: Patient 1 showed marginal improvement in serum albumin and no significant changes in other test results. In patient 2 prothrombin time was decreased; however, her total bilirubin, serum creatinine, and Model of End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) score worsened at the end of follow up. In patient 3 there was improvement in serum albumin, porthrombin time (PT), and MELD score. Patient 4 developed radiocontrast nephropathy after the procedure, and progressed to type 1 hepatorenal syndrome and died of liver failure a few days later. Because of the major side effects seen in the last patient, the trial was prematurely ***: Infusion of CD34+ stem cells through the hepatic artery is not safe in decompensated cirrhosis. Radiocontrast nephropathy and hepatorenal syndrome could be major side effects. However, this study doesnot preclude infusion of CD34+ stem cells through other routes.
